The good thing about it is that the covers the whole of the front panel.

Keeping the engine bay clean has been one of my "obsessions" and have done so with all my Subaru's.
Jet washing I have found not to be a problem and have never "covered" any of the electrics whilst doing so, although keeping the spray away and warming the engine first helps.
I use this for cleaning........
