  1. The Forums will be off line from approx 1400 hrs today for a database upgrade - hopefully not for toooo long (quoted as about an hour)
  2. Physically they should fit but the wiring may be different depending upon whether mirror heating circuit fitted in donor car (MY06/7 UK - probably) and recipient car (?) UK/European Bugeye UK/European MY06/7
  3. In case they were not with it, here are the "fitting" instructions mirror cover001.pdf
  4. You've never looked at my car then ?? Newage onwards plus Hatch , Legacy, Exiga was Part number STSG05100230 (original cost in 2012 8500 Yen ++ )
  5. (My bad it should have been SOHC for both Impreza and Forester in my post above for UK supply). 22611AF633 is from a late MY01 GX Impreza with an EJ201 engine - seems strange they changed the designation from T9 to H3 for AF633 when they are supposed to be interchangeable and form a succession group, obviously something changed with the OEM Map. Just twigged - All cars built after Jan 1st 2001 have to be ODB compliant so ECU designation changed to reflect this. IACV is Subaru p/n 22650AA192. If you haven't already got a copy of the Workshop Manual you can download the various sections from HERE The SOHC is ENGINE Section 1 (12 PDF sections) and all the wiring diagrams are near the end of the web page (3 downloads) The Engine coolant temp guage system is the first item in section2 of the wiring diagrams and shows pin number and position (look at the plug images at the bottom of the page for plug shape. The ECU temp side is shown in the next items for Engine wiring system (RHD SOHC MODEL Pages WI-144 to WI-152) not the earlier RHD without OBD model section)
  6. Welcome to the forum. Sounds as if you have a problem with the coolant temp sensor - have you tested it/replaced it? The temp sensor is a double sensor with three pins, two for the ecu the other and earth through the body for the temp guage so the ecu side could have failed. Is it a single or double cam engine?? If it came from a Y reg Impreza it "should be" an EJ201 DOHC where the idle air control valve is electromechanical and operated by the ECU depending upon the coolant temp. What is the part number or designation for the ECU? (22611AF630/31/32/33/34 or T9) if it's from a Forester it could be an EJ202 SOHC with ECU 22611AG320/21/22 or Z9 - same electromechanical idle air control valve
  7. Hi, and welcome to the forum. "Type UK" was used to distinguish it from grey imports brought into the UK via Cyprus, Malta and Mainland Europe by some of the big Car Supermarkets at that time. The mention of a flare would suggest you possibly mean a Japanese Domestic Model (JDM) import ?? If so the electrics in a UK car are much simpler, as since 2003 the JDM Impreza has run ever increasing amounts of canbus type systems, the main one being the Body Integrated Unit which controls various "body" electrical functions. In this repect the JDM cars are more similar to the USDM cars. Also the JDM models remain as 2.0L engined models with twin scroll turbos whereas the UK/European/Australian models moved to 2.5L to keep compliant with Euro emissions regs. Not sure what you mean by "double rear spoiler" unless of course you are referring to the rear window vane, which is standard on the Model Year (MY)06/07 Impreza STI. i'm assuming a 56 Plate will be a MY07 ( 10th character of VIN will be a "7" ) if it's a 6 then MY06. The standard OEM figures are Power: 280PS (276 BHP) Torque: 392 Nm Should it be fitted with the Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP) these figures rise to Power: 320 PS (316 BHP) torque: 450 Nm PPP details attached. 2007 STi PPP.pdf
  8. As far as I can tell a UK MY99 Turbo 2000 is fitted with the following rear drive shafts which are handed and are fitted to models below. The last of the rear driveshafts fitted to the UK MY00 Turbo 2000 - there are 3 different part numbers - being RH:28021FE140/141; LH: 28021FE150/151, were also fitted to the Newage WRX WAGON upto and including MY04 Just to confirm, a UK MY99 will have an "X" as the 10th character of the VIN and a "G" as the 4th character of the Applied model code. MY00 will have a "Y" and "H" respectively
  9. Usually caused by one of the leveling sensors having a broken connector pin in the wiring plug, due to ingress of water or failed operating linkage due to seizure. Sensors located on LH front and rear lower suspension arms.
  10. Is the Battery you "changed" (or should that be charged ??) 2 weeks ago still upto the job?? Was it fully charged??
  11. Hi Gill and welcome. You'll need to elaborate a bit as all Subarus are AWD, apart from the BRZ. Is the vehicle an Impreza, Levorg, Forester, XV, Legacy Outback or WRX STI ?? Also 66 plate means very little with regard to actual model year. The "applied model" code from the VIN plate is much more informative. The VIN plate is now mounted at the base of the passenger side B pillar between the doors. An example VIN with the Applied model code circled in RED Most of the modern mirrors have replaceable parts so if it is still working electrically, you may be able to just replace the skull cap and indicator assembly and lower trim piece?

  13. What's rare about it?? Yes CR1620 is the key battery size
  14. If you open the door with the key, you should still be able to turn the alarm off using the fob. If you don't know the PIN but have a working key fob that unlocks/locks the doors then you can reset the alarm PIN on the alarm keypad which is situated in the coin tray by the drivers right knee. A quote from the Sigma Sam thread
  15. Welcome to the forum. PIN to do what ???? If regarding the Sigma alarm PIN then some info can be found here http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Knowledge/ElectricalSystem https://forums.sidc.co.uk/topic/96215-ian-aka-sigma-sam-solves-all-your-oem-alarm-problems/ or come back and explain the problem in a bit more depth.
  16. Upgrade or just replace due to likely hood of wear?? Standard 5MT "lever - clutch release" 30531AA180 Any dealers open near you?? If not available from Japan/UAE https://www.amayama.com/en/part/subaru/30531aa180
  17. Just a couple for starters https://www.scorpion-exhausts.com/subaru-impreza-06-07-2-5-wrxsti-exhaust-systems http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_156&osCsid=s9kb31fsvk1q4spqhi92pcs7h3 https://www.haywardandscott.com/subaru/impreza-turbo-06-07.html
  18. Assuming it's UK/European rather than JDM http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g10/type_42/suspension_and_axle/rear_suspension/illustration_1/
  19. You can remove the gear shift surround/gaiter fairly easily to view the shift mechanism.(items 3 &4 below) Once the surround is removed the UK impreza doesn't appear to have an inner rubber gaiter so the mechanism should be visible for inspection.
  20. Classics came with un-equal length headers as did the bugeyes. Equal length headers with twin scroll turbo didn't arrive until the blobeye G10 models (classics) G11 models (Newage) Revisions A and B - Bugeye Revisions C and D - Blobeye Revision E and specials
  21. Maybe the gear linkage bushes need tightening up or replacing?? http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g11/type_39/manipulation/manual_gear_shift_system/illustration_3/
  22. Hi, unfortunately JDM option codes were not readily available prior to the Newage models and are not listed in the parts data base. However Type-RA.com maybe able to help if you join as a V-limited member.
  23. When you click reply you have the option Size is limited to 5782x4000 pixels
