The hose is the vent from the TGV (Tumble Generator Valve) motor which is replaced on later models by a filter

They would look the same but do different jobs, the A/F sensor being much more expensive.

Unless the wiring has been damaged, it's a new A/F sensor......
Depending upon exact Model Year (there is no MY55 that's just when it was registered))

What code did you get?? It will determine what the problem/which sensor it is.
P0030 HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0031 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0032 HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0037 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0038 HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
Bank 1 sensor 1 - A/F (wideband) sensor in the manifold just before the up pipe
Bank 1 sensor 2 - O2 sensor after the second(missing) cat.
