  2. tricky things those steering wheel badges, i once watched someone punch their wheel in anger until they realised theyd bent the badge - mind you that was a rover and he was/is a muppet still alls well that ends well!

  4. 2 weeks to get booked up, dont be looking at the pictures afterwards saying wish id been there dissapointed with the interest in this, looks like it wont be happening again so why not give it a go
  5. cheers for that mate....hope you enjoyed sharing a bed with monkey boy all weekend and he didnt need a shove Euan,he slid down a cliff face running to take a photo all on his own was a good weekend without any of the cancelled stages of the last few years, great weather and another win for local nutter callum duffy - heres to next years!
  6. newages arent so bad but there is the old speed warning system - also known as the frameless windows peeling away from the seals giving a high pitched whistle usually over 130ish before but if youve had the window down and havent opened and closed the door it happens lower down - just a possibility
  7. millers 10w60 here too - try ra motorsports in perth for advice/price 01738 583064 my car was serviced by independent specialists for the last 2 years of its warranty after eperiencing dealer service...itl never go near one again
  8. wouldnt be surprised looks like most of my friends dont want to party with me either things are starting to pick up,im hoping for a late surge, but friends and family are welcome too - as long as they can hack the pace
  9. cmon guys, please give me some backing! only 3 weeks left to book and im stll 16 people short of the minimum number - there was a load of people said theyd be up for this before i arranged it where have they all gone????
  10. good news mate, be sad to see a cat killed off - make sure it goes to someone you really trust to do the work though, thats a lot of work to sort!
  11. is that to remove stryts and then change springs onto new struts and refit or just swap complete units over? 1st would take longer but dont know about that long....think its a bit of con mate
  12. as brian said, the standard fare is just rubbish all round! the guys i use said they experimented with swapping all the different parts out and head unit and speakers both needed replacing to be worthwhile - doesnt need to be a fancy or expensive headunit,i beleive the standards something like 4x20w? which is drastically underpowered!
  13. very nice you brand slag lol though if todays anything to go by hope its waterproof too!
  14. nice one Robert, its going to be fun :biggrinsanta: well that sorts your pressie then Neil, now get your name down!!!
  15. welcome back and excellent choice, nicest hawkeye this side of an ra-r im sure youl enjoy it but no mods or driving in anger? i think theres a bet to be made there
  16. gutting for you mate, cant believe a tuner as well known as this could do a runner! thank god youve got the engine, now over to a spanish scooby site to try and track the b*****d down!
  17. depends a bit on what engine and what state of tune - subaru's official recomendation is running in oil for the first 1000 miles keeping to a maximum of 3/3.5k revs (i think) but varying the revs constantly then after an oil change slowly build up the revs over the next 5-700 miles i followed the first step but after the 1000 mile oil change it was full revs straight away lol have done that with 2 scoobs from new and both ran fine, made good power and never used a drop of oil
  18. welcome along mate, looks like a nice tidy standardish example - though i see grooved discs on the front there... pop along to a meet soon as you can, or see the xmas ball in events cheers dave
  19. yea thats our Als site - he's our resident genius from elgin self modded 270hp bug wrx including his own mapping via freeware and a font of info on all things subaru
  20. going to be a hell of a motor once its all back together - you must be itching to get it done mate! so youl have it all run in and at full power for next years highland fling then?
  21. gutted for you mate, mustve been terrifying! at least everyones pretty much ok, dont let the insurance muck you about, you need to get out there scob shopping to cheer yourself up!! also id look at a personal injury claim for the missus, i know how these things can develop and get worse over time - still waiting on mine to be sorte out after almost 2 years!
  22. welcome along mate, loving both the motors - youve definitely got the black and white theme perfected! how do you find the hatch after the bug? and am i right in thinking i saw the bug in a magazine after a lot of work at awd?
  23. welcome along mate - at least youl save a packet on mods with that sort of power already! have a look at the events section and pop along to meet somewhere cheers Dave
