Hi Trying to avoid buying a new set of alloys to clad in winter rubber.. Anyone out there know of any alloys going reasonable price? ive been told of a nmber of tyre websites that do wheel packages but none of them appear suitable for WRX, one even emailed back and said id have to buy them to see if they fit.. not much help there..

Hi.. Im thinking about obtaining a 2nd set of wheels for a 52 plate 2.0 WRX. Either sensible priced alloys or steel wheels and have them fitted with winter tyres for the rapidly approaching period of whiteness. I wonder if anyone out there could suggest what would be the best size wheel and/or winter tyre to use for best effect on both snow/ice and the cold weather that is anticpated to last some time.. I know most conventional tyres lose their effectiveness below 5c and it looks like it will be well below that for some time.
