  1. not too sure from your post if you have PPP already or not? anyways PPP should be sports cat downpipe, then 2nd cat delete pipe and prodrive backbox and walbro fuel pump ive a feeling Gus the bus had a mate doing sports cat DP's for reasonable price but it should be possible to get 320 with a remap on a panel air filter, fuel pump and straight through centre section (providing your current backbox is fairly free flowing)
  2. unfortunately the reasons your changing are hitting everyone hard mate, impreza's are a nightmare to sell these days - its no reflection on your car. thats why mine is staying put and becoming more hardcore
  3. does anyone know this car? an 03 sti, blue blobeye up for sale just now that a mates looking at
  4. happy days Kenny! enjoy your 3k rev limit :biggrinsanta:
  5. after being up at the knockhill stages rally today a few of us got talking and wondered how much interest there would be in a club day/block booking on the rally experience as they know have a fleet of classic scoobs to do it in. enough of us did it together could hopefully get a discount so who'd be up for it?
  6. was that your RB parked up at knockers today? was the 2 dirty great intakes in the fog light cover that made me wonder :biggrinsanta:
  7. so youve finally managed to drag yourself off passionford and remember us have you!! see the snows back on so youl have to go back to the ra again to get some traction! seriously, howre you finding the rs? feel free to pop up to crieff for a visit with it,ive a burberry baseball cap for you and thats part of the problem - having felt the power of rs brakes im trying hard to find a setup to match them. though that was a real rs, had a 4 after it
  8. dont go tempting me Bobby, just got my insurance pay out and im trying frantically to save it!
  9. yea, seeing how it started out i wasnt convinced but what an end result! theyre own 2011 demo/time attack car is going to be a beast, cant wait to see it on track - especially with the backing its got
  10. general consensus seems to be no then - how about some carbon look headlight eyebrows instead?
  11. dont judge everyone by your own standards Graeme
  12. should have said i already have godspeed 2 piece discs and ferodo 2500 pads with braided hoses and 5.1 fluid the discs and pads are the biggest dissapointment ive fitted to the car, done 1500 miles and theyre gubbed - any heat in the discs even a modest stop and they judder like hell and fade to nothing, discs are blued round the edges and ruining my enjoyment of the car having wasted 500 quid on them and from previous experience uprating discs they just dont cut it for me (and yes i know im hard on them, cracked every set of standard discs on 2 classics i had) so bigger, better calipers are the way forward Neil, not ignoring you mate but my voice is gubbed with the cold - il give you a bell or catch you at knockers tomorrow if your heading up
  13. dont need a classic, just a good old 2.0 without chocolate pistons
  14. thought you were talking about Bobby there until you said all round good chap
  15. for fast road and occasional track use which is better - bigger calipers or bigger discs? trying to decide between 330 or 356mm discs when i upgrade, was thinking 330's would allow me to run 17' wheels over winter but it doesnt really come out much now so i could run 18's all year. but is there any real advantage to them over larger calipers with the larger swept area they give?
  16. you lot like your flaps dont you dont fancy cutting into the roof much, could ask Deesar Kevin but i suspect it would be 4 or 500 - was thinking of buying one and sitting it on the roof to see what i thought option a http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IMPREZA-GC8-GDA-GDB-GDF-WRC-CARBON-ROOF-AIR-SCOOP-VENT-/270607072425?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f01703ca9 option b http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRC-ROOF-SCOOP-VENT-sti-wrx-01-07-/190269424722?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c4cf10452 kinda favouring a - if im going to do it may as well be noticeable!
  17. oh yes he did it! and did it properly, not even a gearlever gaiter having been in it id say it was worth it - though the md 321 turbo certainly helps
  18. been thinking about getting a bond on wrc style carbon roof scoop for my blob eye sti - what do you guys out there think?
  19. dont worry il be doing special maps for the hatches, with directions such as these where the squiggly tarmac meets the other squiggly tarmac turn left - no the OTHER left...
  20. not as much as the driver does thats for sure put up my list a few days ago, samco's, gauges, bigger brakes, whiteline arb's and the polishing of its life - though i may chicken out and pay someone else for the last bit( any recomendations in the perth area?) definitely NOT getting a bigger turbo.....honest.... you keep your suggestions quiet Graeme
  21. blue ones are the same, mine is dark blue en gine bay wr blue outside - who knows how subaru's mind works!
  22. if you do get it sprayed take loads of pics of it as it is,ie faded but undamaged so you can explain why it was done shouldnt put anyone serious off, shows your serious about having the car at its best
  23. proper announcement for the highland fling will be going up in the next few weeks in events but thought id give you all a heads up that im proposing a bit of extra fun! I know quite a few of you take the friday off to head up to Inverness in plenty of time and as this year theres a public holiday that day courtesy of some underworked oiks wedding i thought id suggest an alternative to the convoy up the A9. still a fairly relaxed day to ease in those who can make it but a bit more fun and a lot more scenic! doesnt take a genius to work out the alternative but as always i wont be publishing any of the routes on the forums, suffice it to say meeting at stirling services and terminating at your hotel for the night in inverness
  24. cheers guys - thatd be great Craig, like the look of prosport but the group buys on snet have so many options and conditions it confuses the hell out of me would love to go for defi's Ciaran but just couldnt justify them, could buy a nice new 20g billet for not much more - not that i would of course.... mystery, ive tried the k sports and they work well - ap's are best part of 2k and work isnt secure enough to justify that alas at some point but not right now
