  1. i believe r888's are lethal in anything outside of really warm days - have heard of one scob written off because the driver took them out on a greasy day,not even wet, and went straight on at a corner.... il never put yokohamas on anything ever again, worst tyre outside of falkens ive had, so id go for the reo70's out of those personally i swear by goodyear eagles with heavy duty rated sidewalls, on my 3rd set on this scoob with no probs standing for 4/5 months at a time - but i do like to keep charging in the rain and also a tyre that breaks away nice and progressively, nothing like edging the tail round that little bit
  2. check that that includes the belt tensioner as well as thats the expensive part and also apparently what usually goes rather than the belt (£110 for the tensioner :S)
  3. prodrive copying tsw eh but nice retro reference - do you want a max power sticker ive got somewhere to finish the look?
  4. anyone else thinking about coming? just so ive a rough idea for food stops on sat and sunday - still time to book but dont leave it too late, last one in has to share with Glyn.....
  5. brians just taking a tyre though lewis - and hopefully a trolley jack, tyre iron, balancing weights.....
  6. i see Brians learnt the lesson from previous years of hoss and irish Al cutting sidewalls - having said that maybe i should do the same :S im sure Del or Glyn could take a spare wheel for you Blair, after all surely thats the point of those big hatch boots and its not like theyl be worried about weight saving....
  7. am i right in saying your garelochead? nearest that springs to min is hypertech in bonnybridge, personally i use RA motorsports in perth both really know theyre stuff on scoobs and if your a club member offer discount
  8. good job! looking great mate, top marks for following through on it - who did it for you?
  9. dont worry Barry you would have just had to strip them off anyway, theyre awfully heavy you know
  10. try vivid racing, i had a group buy going with them last year 75 quid for two delivered
  11. be good if you can join us Grant but nobody said anything about doing thurso to helmsdale did they..... will keep an eye out for the spec c Mike il be up at the snowman in the rallywagon (or pickup lol) though im not sure which stages to do yet
  12. well if last years anything to go by the hatches toddle off in their own little group anyway....... and at the moment Andy will be at the back in the naturally aspirated group
  13. well thatl be nice and quiet lol looks like your running out of ways to make this beastie even bigger and badder
  14. is it my imagination or is that one of those crazy exhausts that comes out of the front bumper......
  15. looking good! you definitely made the right choice resparaying it, going to look amazing when your done!
  16. ooh just like the xmas party Cathy
  17. have you guys just done the rear anti roll bar? im planning doing arb's soon but dont want to upset the balance of the car as it is now with coilovers and alk, just make it a bit flatter
  18. nicely spotted Kevin wonder how long before that gets changed..... i guess we must be right Cathy as im home to an empty mailbox......
  19. in that case hopefully mine is waiting at home - is it true that you automatically get bumped to the head of the que if you buy a hatch?
  20. so what was Andy doing for you? few cheeky mods youve been keeping quiet?
  21. looks like a cracking example arb's reduce the side to side movement of the suspension as i understand it, the thicker the bar the more planted the rear - though this does can it a bit more lively in extreme cornering first things first though - in order 1 - drive til you run out of fuel money 2 - become a full member - though you shouldve done that first as it gets you insurance discount from keith michaels! 3 - track down an exhaust, backbox or catback to release the burble 4 - get yourself along to your nearest monthly meet and of course, grin grin grin
  22. quite like the 2 sided wing look your sporting now after i had a revolution and ht auto's one destroy themselves i bought the cheapest fibreglass one i could find on ebay and its lasted the longest - typical!!! although now ive said that.....
