  1. bloody hell Al, knew you were having some problems but didnt realise things were that bad! all the best and hope they can offer you some help next week
  2. wow! what a spec sheet! got me drooling now mate, guess coilovers are about the only thing youve got left to put on i found the bc's to be a big improvement over my 05 sti with prodrive springs but in the future id like to step up to ohlins(knowing how well they work on bikes) bilsteins or kw's best setup ive had personal experience of was versus nexus but unfortunately there was only about 6 pairs made
  3. that was one hell of a year and nicely summed up sir - brings a tear to my glass eye that youve parted with the banana but i suspect the new owner is someone who'l give it the abuse its used to and let you stroke it now and again. its always a pleasure to have your company at events/meets and the rewards of being an RO is being able to meet and call friend people like you and Imy. hopefully they manage to sort you out, perhaps simtek rather than ecutek? and your able to purchase a new chariot of your own but in the meantime take care of yourself, have your carer bring you along to meets when you can and make sure she sticks you on the RA insurance see you soon Gorgeous - we have a donkey to visit you know!
  4. any recomendations for best and/or cheapest places for the following items on my 2011 shopping list? samco hoses gauges inc gauge pod ksport 8 pots and uprated pads (PF,mintex or recomended apart from ds2500) whiteline ARB's and drop links thatl be doing for now ta
  5. ive the BC coilovers too and cant fault them bang for buck - but if i had the cash id have ohlins in a second, KW and exe-tc (not sure if ive spelt it right?) are also very very highly rated but with prices to match is the car for track use/daily driver/fun b roads or a bit of all? and as i see your on your 2nd post welcome along

  7. have a look on ebay, theres some quite nice carbon ones i think as for fitting it should be easy enough - im as mechanically inept as it gets but ive managed to fit 3 to my blobeye, the dangers of a lowered car and speedbumps/rabbits/pebbles
  8. amen brother! a merry christmas to everyone who doesnt drive an evo :biggrinsanta: to every one who turns up to a meet, trackday or run have a great festive season, you guys make this club what it is and ive met some truly fantastic people here and look forward to meeting more of you in 2011 :waving-santa:

  17. ok i stand corrected, that was just my understanding - so itd be ok to raise them up for a few months them drop them back down to the original height without having the geometry done, as per the op query? not something id have considered doing but then i dont work on these things myself so happy to take expert knowledge
  18. handling will be rubbish and even lowering it back to the same settings again would need a geo setup im afraid
  19. lewis where the hell did you find that - and more to the point why!!!!! as to whether or not its me......no comment...
  20. doesnt matter what tyres i have on, the snows halfway up my bumper so i aint going anywhere by scoob
  21. cheers Callum, the car shes looking at is a standard uk my99 and has had the kit fitted for several years and apparently it was 2 grand proffesionally fitted at the time. was wanting to check that there was no hidden expenses lurking round the corner - always suspicious as to why someones seling a car theyve looked after and spent cash on but this one seems to be checking out
  22. prize (details to be confirmed) from RA motorsports developments bottle of grouse from scooby222
  23. thats why im looking at getting the ball rolling now, theyve already got 2 of the saturdays in nov booked for 2011! might be a bit of a price increase as well closer to crimbo plus clashes with other parties - hence the poll, what the public wants theyl get well if i agree with them that is
  24. following on from the success of the xmas party (after a shaky start!) ive started thinking about making arrangements for another one next year first thing to say is that its a party - although i titled this years as a ball it wasnt formal as i know that put some people off, our very own euan r wore jeans and a short sleeved shirt without sticking out! ive approached the same hotel as this year as everyone seemed to be happy with the facilities, if anyone would like to make any suggestions for a different venue or any changes/improvements feel free to drop me a goat or post on this thread finally ive put up a poll for the timing, either same time as this year, later on closer to christmas, or earlier ie late october as sort of halloween/xmas party combined
