  1. I'd love to. There are some gorgeous samples being posted I think would look great on my motor, but I have a kitchen that's missing walls, units and as of tomorrow, a ceiling. This topic is just too much temptation to spend money when I can't! Keep the pics coming though. I won't be financially screwed forever.
  2. I'm sorely tempted to delete this topic. Not because it's in breach of any rules, but because it's REALLY making me want to spend money I don't have right now
  3. OH FFS. I'm lost for words...
  4. You lot and your bullying have put me off now. I was going to ask why my sidelights were on after cleaning my dashboard
  5. Wish I'd kept me gob shut now
  6. Thank you for asking this question. I've always wanted to, but thought I'd appear like a doughnut for asking.

I'm technically clueless so have gone by the recommendations I've seen on here from those who know their stuff. If these guys say avoid them then I'd avoid them. Hypertech were recommended to me yonks ago by guys on here so I went there, purely based on what was said on this Forum and have been back several times since. There's no doubt Dunc knows his Scoobs. (fecking cold place to hold a barbecue in November though!)
  8. <groan> Don't give up the day job
  9. I dunno. I've never seen a car stereo you can play Blockbusters on I'll have a P please, Bob
  10. My car came from Triangle in Chesterfield because I was fussy and wanted a black SL. I was ages in Grieves because they had to get hold of the supplying dealer to get authorisation for them to cross-charge the labour element of the service to them. T&C may have just told you that you had to pay to save them the hassle of cross-charging. It did seem like a fair bit of red tape when it could all easily be billed back directly to Subaru UK regardless of which dealer carried the service out since they're footing the bill for it anyway.
  11. This is what it has in my service book: If yours says FREE then you've been had and I'd be having words... Invoice from Grieves was in there too. Oil, Sump Washer, Oil Filter, Filter Disposal - Total: £50.64 (includes SIDC discount on parts)
  12. First service on a new Scoob should be labour-free if done at a dealer - you only pay for parts - unless they've changed the rules since I got mine last July.
  13. Some cracking pics there guys. Members - feel free to upload some to the Scottish Scoobies Gallery - easy for n00bs and visitors to find and see what goes on up here
  14. I really must apologise to Scott on this. He did make the site Admins aware he intended stepping down. Firstly I tried to see if there was anything we could do to change his mind then when I failed, Kim had a try too. However, the lad has made up his mind and is not for turning on this. We have to reluctantly accept his decision. Kim is RO Co-ordinator, but the lucky sod has just buggered off to Cuba for a fortnight hence why it wasn't posted as per Scott's request - sorry. As I said to Scott privately, I've only met him and Rosie the once at a Fife run, but genuinelly nice people who know how to make n00bs (as I was at the time) welcome. I know they were and still are highly thought of within the Club. As Scott says, anyone interested in the role - PM Frenchy, but there's no immediate rush as you won't get a reply for a couple of weeks.
  15. I suspect this is going to go down in the annals of SIDC history along with St3ph3n's gloves!
  16. Good call Okay mine is a saloon, but love the SL leather and that warm feeling on your buttocks on a cold morning
  17. Just a wee update on stats since I've just been into the site for a look: Signed up to mailing list - 274 Registered interest - 238
  18. I have my "when I win the lottery" life panned out - priority 1 - RB320, Priority 2 - P1 for the weekends, priority 3 - a boat, priority 4 - 17 year-old nymphomaniac who's father owns a brewery. It's all sussed
  19. Okay, there doesn't seem to be a mad rush in here! It might be worth putting something together for the front page - not just because people might read it, but because it's also indexed by the search engines so anyone looking for the Scoob scene in Worcs is more likely to find us and come this way. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a short piece. I know it's quiet Lee, but we'll help you with this
  20. Welcome Posting images is covered in the Forum tutorials here: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=105211 I'll also move this to the Scottish Scoobies on-topic Forum as it's not really off-topic
  21. You can raise a PayPal dispute if you want, but I'd try and sort it with the supplier first. I sell photo prints regularly that have been paid for via PayPal and there have been occasional problems. None of them my fault - either Post Office losing/damaging packages or muppets not collecting from the post office as they weren't in when the PO tried to deliver and the items have been returned to me. I have had cases where they've raised instant PayPal disputes without contacting me first. That just gets my hackles up, I'm afraid. I can understand being angry having waited three weeks, but see what the supplier says first and try and sort things amicably before going down the dispute route would be my advice
  22. Updated info as of tonight: No. of sign-ups to mailing list - 240 No. of people registered interest - 202
  23. Looks like it was quite a profitable day for the Fife Scamera Pratnership. Clicky Linky I don't agree with the ton-plus idiots, but you can bet your boots the majority were caught by the Talivan on the "busy" (sic) A92 on a nice quiet Sunday morning where it's dual carriageway and perfectly safe to do more than 70. 106 x MINIMUM £60 = £6360. Not a bad days earnings.
  24. I am pleased to advise the shop is now back online so all those looking to pay for Knockers (ooerrr missus!) can now do so
  25. Would I like what? A goat (yes please!), an abused local (possible, but only if they tugged their forelock a lot and said yes m'lud), a Factor or a Range Rover Sport?
