  1. I got a list of the shirts shipped so far last night, but I'm in France ATM. Looks like they'll have arrived before I get home to update shipping status!
  2. Only if we also have a "Clarty as f***" Forum for people like me
  3. This is true. He needs the money for next time he breaks his car
  4. I'm about to go on a massive press onslaught for the McRae Gathering, but need some good, quality photos of Colin that aren't in breach of any copyright and folk are happy to be used to publicise this event. I know some of you have some as I've seen them here before, but things are so hectic with shirt orders and other stuff right now I don't have time to go searching, finding possibly dead Photobucket etc links and then contacting the various people. If you have quality pics of the man himself and would have no objection to them being used in press releases to promote the Gathering event then please email them in hi-res if possible to andy AT mcrae-gathering.co.uk Any help on this would be massively appeciated
  5. Yup, but in the For Sale Forum. You have to have either made 50 posts or have been a user before a certain date, but as your forum status is "Established User" then you're fine to stick it in the for Sale Forum
  6. Sample shirt went through my washing machine/tumble drier six times on the trot testing it as I've been let down on shirts before and was determined we weren't having any crap. These are bloody good shirts that will last. Offering different colours proved a no-no due to getting shirts of different colours that were to the same standards as the white one on offer and also because of the different colours involved in the various logos.
  7. Grant sent me that photo tonight in a hot sweat. I really, really, really wanted to get it up on the Gathering website, but the shirts went on sale tonight and I didn't want to bury that photo in amongst the shirts announcement, nor did I want to bury the shirts announcement with the photo as both are equally massive news It'll headline on the Gathering site for sure, but the shirts make money for the charities and they have to come first
  8. Have you spoken to Frenchy about this? She's R.O. Co-ordinator and will add you to the various lists.
  9. Falsifying a McRae Gathering document is a serious offence. Where's our resident Polis?
  10. I've seen your registration form for the McRae Gathering
  11. Good crack on there tonight. Seriously funny banter. I'd forgotten I'd even installed it. Goats rule
  12. Sticky has bukake connotations. We use "pinned" these days. Done.
  13. To comply with Pete's request, can you all please reply adding confirmation next to your name (as I've done) giving REALISTIC chances of making this event using the following: 100% - Definitely going 75% - Pretty sure 50% - Almost sure, but depends on other things like work 25% - Really don't know. Please don't put 100% unless you really are 100% sure you can make this worthy event. If copying and pasting then copy below this line 1. Nanaki 2. mctwistuk 3. mctwistuk's better half 4. 14. As taken from the site:"Please allow 28 days for delivery. We're pretty much geared up to get them out within a few days of ordering, but this is new to us and we expect an initial surge so please bear with us and allow us a bit of breathing space!!!" Up to order 136 has been shipped. Yours is order 145 so expect an Email monday or Tuesday telling you it is en route.
  15. There has been an upswing in orders coming in today. I just assumed it was people getting paid
  16. YES! I'm not away that weekend 1. Nanaki 2. mctwistuk 3. mctwistuk's better half 4. Andy
  17. This topic, plus the fact it's also posted in General Discussion along with the "I'm sure you'll all want to be reassured on the Customer Service they offer in situations just like this.." comment is clearly in the hope it is read by T&C and designed to make sure they have no choice except to offer something. I can't say I agree with your tactics...
  18. "May 8th - Weighed in at 19.5 stone" Like many I've lost relatives to cancer and the MacMillan bunch do a fantastic job. Not a job I could do, for sure. I'll up the ante - Fiver per lb lost from the May 8th weigh-in of 19.5 stone till the weekend of the McRae Gathering Got (hang on till I check the Gathering site countdown clock) 101 days, 9 hours, 20 minutes to go Don't worry though - we won't weigh you publicly at Prodrive!
  19. TBH I really doubt you will end up travelling by yourselves. Even if you leave as just one car, I'd be amazed if you weren't part of a mini-convoy by the time you got to Lanark there are so many people going to be heading for this from all over. Interest is massive. Bailey - to save me adding two replies, perhaps a post on the Gathering forums from someone saying your region will be travelling from X with timings etc and offering to hook up with others who are either solo or meeting a few cars en route might be beneficial. It would certainly make the individual drivers from that area and on your route feel more welcome as this is going to be very daunting for a noob!
  20. Anyway, putting stinger on the naughty step wasn't why I dropped by here! I just happened to notice it I see this guy Is travelling up from Bristol on the Friday and looking for others to hook up with. I'm not sure where you lot are based, but SW to me means you should be passing Bristol (if my geography is correct!) and I know some of you are travelling up Friday.
  21. You can go sit on the naughty step for stretching the forums with excessive question marks
  22. I've now added an announcement to every SIDC Forum with details on how to get stickers. In retrospect, yes I probably could have done more to let people know, but I was away for 3 weeks overseas on business and then when I got back it all just suddenly happened in a bit of a chaotic rush within a matter of days. Things had dragged on for so long since us making the initial announcement while we sorted out the red tape and crap that we had to, we felt we had to do something positive to move things forward. I'd strongly suggest signing up to the mailing list on the McRae Gathering website - http://www.mcrae-gathering.co.uk (on the left hand menus, about half way down) - It's run by me and I f****** detest spammers so I can absolutely guarantee it's spam-free, but it will ensure you get every bit of news as soon as we announce it. Everything I add to the site as news I also email out to all newsletter subscribers. Jacqui - even if you subscribe to the mailing list as RO and post the email updates here it will help keep people informed and help us spread the word. I apologise for any confusion that arose. It's purely down to us being newbies at this kind of thing and not appreciating the massive levels of interest there is. Regardless of the mailing list I'll try and post Forum announcements with any updates moving forward.
  23. Can I safely assume none of the photographers have any objections to me featuring these photos on the McRae Gathering website? I know it's probably a stupid question, but I do like to ask first as I hate it when folk steal my photos and use them without permission.
  24. We have four Administrators on this site: 1) Phil Stephens - Essex Boy. You can tell him because he dances round his handbag and wears white "shag-me" stilletoes. 2) Frenchy - Cambridge girl. Very cute and I stalk her. 3) St3ph3n - Scottish and a big ginger bloke. He resigned as an Admin months ago, but I left him his permissions out of respect for the help he gave me in redeveloping this site. He's never posted here and hardly even moderates any more. I don't stalk St3pn3n because he's ginger - oh, and he's a bloke. 4) Me Now try and tell me it wasn't a personal attack... As for the "no reward" comment, the trophy was genuinely appreciated and did make me think it was worthwhile at the time, but things have moved on since then and folk have forgotten the work that goes on behind the scenes. I run numerous other websites which I make a reasonable amount of money from. I make NOTHING from this and do it purely for love. I therefore have no reason to justify myself or put up with folk bitching about what I do and why I do it when they don't have the slightest clue about what it's all about. If I put something like flood control in it is because it is needed. I do not wake up every morning thinking "How can I piss off South West Region today?" - which is what some of you think - and you call ME paranoid! I'm afraid I have more important things to worry about in life. This topic is going nowhere. If it continues it will only result in certain people throwing their toys out of their pram - again. The policies are in place for the benefit of the Club and the Website and they will stay. That's all I'm going to say on it. PS. Whilst we might disagree on how Forums are run, I'll hopefully meet most of you at the McRae Gathering. You'll find I'm actually a pretty decent bloke who has a crap job, but does his best...
