  1. Marky, just spotted this. the caliper work was done at the same time as brake pads and other stuff and I can't remember the price for the calipers alone. best if you call Duncan and ask him, Imy
  2. ha! you're a funny guy Andy. love the end result but waaay too much effort for me
  3. yay shiny shiny smooth smooth heartfelt thanks to Colin for offering this detail as a raffle prize. Easy dialogue, knowledgeable fella and I felt totally comfortable handing over the keys to someone I don't know the RA has never been clayed in my 4 years of ownership and 'now' I get why people spend so much time waxing and detailing their car. the pics don't show how great she looks in the flesh and I never thought that she would give off such a shine. she wasn't that shabby to begin with, paint was dull but not bad, but definately looks newer and perkier now. must say sorry to Grant for leaving him sitting by himself at Lanark Loch waiting for his dinner, I just had to go out and take pics of the shiny car in the last hours of daylight I was cringing when overtaking the gritter on the 74 on the way home, the sound of spraying grit against the bodywork was painful
  4. Marky, I had my 4 pots refurbed via Godspeed. Car was in Hypertech for new brake pads and Duncan noticed the calipers had seized. He exchanged mine for a reconditioned set that Godspeed had. Price and timescale were fine, the only unknown was what colour of caliper you get back. My black ones were sent away and I got silver in return. I quite liked the look of them with my gold alloys
  5. thinking out loud... its just before the weekend, fewer family commitments and there are usually no football matches on?! but its a valid question and I'm not sure myself
  6. I'd go with this option Del btw, wouldnt the new exhaust make the car sound better?
  7. Found the Brute fight website in my Bookmarks, had totally forgot about this. anyone wanna fight? if you've not got a fighter, Click here and register a brute its a bit random once the fights start, but amusing to watch none the less
  8. John, her face is amazingly symmetrical. Its quite rare, as most people don't have mirror-image right and left sides
  9. i had the same with the RA. Also found a lot of water in the bit where you store the jack (on the left hand side of the boot), think it was coming in through the rear lights or the spoiler. Not been able to find the source yet as the only option Grant suggested was for me to climb into the boot (RA rear seats don't fold down) and he hose the car from the outside so I see where the water is coming in
  10. happy birthday Dale, hope you had a good day

  12. I was just thinking about you the other day (ooer nothing dodgy, the pics you posted up of how the car looked after paint stripper incident just came into my head) and wondered how the repairs are getting on. hope they do a good job.
  13. am wondering if you'll actually turn up for any meets! well done for taking the initiative and volunteering to be the RO. will be nice to see you around this year, you've missed way too many events recently btw if you're free the 2nd weekend in May then you need to come down to Prodrive with us
  14. glad you've got it sorted. The RA's getting you back for you leaving it to get the defi gauges and pod for the GB
  15. I usually run the RA in V-Power (dont get Tesco 99 up here). Had to fill with Tesco last summer when we went to Elvington and found the same as what the OP said in his first post - the car felt less responsive and sounded rougher than normal. Gary, you'd better get a Shell V Power drivers club
