IMO fully declaring mods comes with the territory of owning these cars, its not worth the risk I've found that the 'high street' insurers don't touch modified cars, let alone imports in my case. you'll need to contact specialist companies, eg Greenlight, A-Plan, Keith Michaels to name a few. They'll come up if you Google them

just to add there was no VPower Glasgow Pollokshaws Road or Anniesland Cross today petrol tanker rolled up when we were in the forecourt and I asked the driver if he was carrying VPower. Said he wasn't and that he was surprised there was none at the pumps... Knew there was a shortage last week coming up from Manchester but it was meant to be sorted by this weekend

Colin, no worries i'm needing new blades, the halfords ones I've had for the past year and a bit need replacing, they smear and judder when using them above 50 mph to explain the S&S thing, I've got a voucher for them and thought I might as well use it. obviously I know I can get them elsewhere
