  1. good videos there Andy, the Applecross hairpins look different from your angle! couldnt see the old dear Andy. We had passed one in a pink coat that looked a bit surprised by us all, wonder if its the same one?
  2. we passed a cyclist on our 1st run through, he was whooping and cheering as we passed him. We saw him on our return leg and he had made good progress, was coasting downhill with a grin on his face
  3. there happened to be "Historic Commercial Vehicle Road Run" from Inverness to Ullapool at the same time as us, Didn't see them on the road but they were parked up at Ullapool pier when we took a walk down. this is the only car that I took a picture of, I like it and this is the queue for lunch today, the blue jacket brigade
  4. don't know how you managed to start the weekend with one female and finish with two
  5. my pics are on Tommos thread. what a way to start the summer season an amazing weekend with fabulous company, excellent roads, perfect weather (only had 3 rain showers and a hail shower) and quiet roads. Many thanks to Dave and Al for organising this weekend, I think it improved on last year's Skye run. The hotel was excellent, facilities were great, food was brill and the bed was comfy. Well done Dave for getting us such a good group rate, I told the woman at checkout that they'll probably get some repeat visitors from our group. That Applecross road is crazy, though I can't believe how narrow the road got, plus with no barriers, the steep drop down the rocky mountain seemed too close at some points. From what I saw, the quality of driving was great and I think we got nods, thumbs up and co-operation from other road users. Very happy with the event, don't think many would disagree if we used the roads + format again for next year. Imy
  6. Grant had decided to film the weekend and we started on Saturday morning with 4 cameras, 3 mounts, numerous tie clips and sticky pads. He changed locations of the cameras at every stop, some of the placements of cameras were ingenious! but, this was the view I had for one of the stages We transferred the raw footage after Day 1 and I must say the films are amazing. There was a slight mishap near the end of Day 2 when the super-strong mount fell off after both n/s tyres hit a rut. This was how it looked before it fell... this was me checking after hitting the rut, we were still moving at the time... I couldn't lean out the window because of the harnesses so had to stick my hand out and take a picture we managed to find the camera and mount on the verge. The camera was damaged but memory card seemed intact, so hopefully we've not lost the recordings from today. imy

  14. is that a Jag? any more pics? plus being a Gus-car there wont be any issue about cleanliness or reliability
  15. not for me my brother is getting married on Tues 7 Sept and is looking for a nice saloon car to chauffer them about. He doesn't want a scoob, something more high end (like a BMW, Merc, Audi, Lexus), preferably in silver or white, is what he's after. If your family car/2nd car can seat 4 people comfortably, is fairly clean, in Glasgow and you're free that date, send me a goat. I suggested to him we use my RA but he wasnt too keen on that imy
  16. I bought these ones from Aztec Performance The guy posts on Scoobynet (can't remember his name). Quick delivery and does the job.
  17. aye Grant and I are going to this, think we're the only ones from this side of the border heading down. if you Click each item in the shop it takes you to a new screen with prices and description.

  19. yay need new pics of the car pronto, to take away the horrid images of how it looked after the paint stripper attack.
  20. was reverse parking as close to an end parking space to avoid door dings and managed to catch my mudflap on the kerb and rip it off the bumper. metal bracket is fooked and bumper is a bit loose thought I had damaged my alloy from the noise that was coming off the back of the car. where I can get just one bracket and the wee round gromit-things so I can get the flap re-attached? don't want to buy a whole set.
  21. omg 5 worlds ! ! looking forward to wasting far too much time on this game then
