  1. Did some experimenting and i've sorted out a facebook page as we discussed on thursday night. Log into Facebook and look for:- Subaru Impreza Drivers Club - Moray Scoobys. Don't know if it's a time lag or what but it isn't showing up in some searches which is strange as it's an open group! If it doesn't find me Dave Lisle (made it easy, my profile pic is the scooby) and click on the friend link i'll do the rest from there. I've added some pics from the 2 Rrallye charity events and a profile of my car and little bit of Evo abuse. We can add meets and other info as we need to. Any problems let me know and i'll make adjustments (if facebook let me)....
  2. http://www.paints4u.com/ErrorPage.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/AboutP4u.aspx These guys should be able to help, i've used them for paint for the car they should be able to match the wheel colour as well.
  3. Bummer sorry dude... my mistake.
  4. You can do it.... http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Knowledge/ReprogramAlarmRemoteControls simple...
  5. Yeah, just slot the new speakers in, it's all i've done. Still got the original headunit and my sub isn't wired up yet but the new speakers made a big difference in the sound.Check out post 2 in this thread, 6'' speakers will fit with spacers.
  6. Should be the same as the Bugeye i have. I swapped the naff standard speakers for a set of Vibe's K-Series SE60 (Halfrauds for about £60 i think). The drivers are 6'' and fit no problem with a set of Corsa 3 spacers from Halfrauds (vauxhall have to be good for something), if you don't use spacers the windows won't go down all the way. All that was needed was a self tapper to hold the spacer in place as the original speakers only have 3 screws. The tweeters fit no problem and the crossover fits into the door card at the back behind the storage pocket, mine are attached using velcro stips. The sound quality is like night and day from the original speakers. Hope that helps...
  7. Front and rear were £100 delivered if i remember right. Good pads as well way better than the pish that was fitted when i bought the car.
  8. They look like the Godspeed Kevlar fast road pads. I fittes some to my blobeye not long ago. E-mail Ian Godney and ask him, he'll let you know exactly what they fit, he's usually happy to help.
  9. Nice motor, hope to see it around sometime!
  10. Cheers guys..... coffee time to try and clear the hangover i think!
  11. Bitz all the way for me. It's where mine gets serviced. If they build and race Impreza rally cars they know their stuff. I got a 10% discount off the labour charge for being a member of SIDC to. Every little helps.
  12. Looks good to me...... infact it looks like mine apart from the ones on the C pillar! I keep thinking about removing mine which were on the car when i bought it but just can't bring myself to do it.
  13. Looks like i missed a good day out. I was stuck at the wenches place in West Hill with a child throwing up everywhere........ I know where i'd rather have been. Would have been good fun now i have rear brakes that work Hopefully next year i'll make it.
  14. I fitted a set of focal components in my 54 plate blobeye (6'' i think). To allow the windows to close i used a set of Corsa 3 spacers from halfords and needed to put 1 self tapper in there to secure it properly. Made a hell of a difference to the sound. I'm sure yours are the same as mine.
  15. http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/home.htm It's where i've ordered mine from, never heard a bad thing said about them and Ian's always willing to help.
  16. Don't know what it is with Admiral i was with them for about 9 years and when i got the scooby they doubled my quote from £600 to £1200, altough after a discussion they did offer a customer loyalty discount of £75. This year they still quoted me £850, at this rate they could be competitive again in 2-3 years!
  17. Alot of the companies are playing it safe now and avoiding anything modded or with decent performance! I'd been with M&S for the last year and they wouldn't touch me as the car has a 'non standard exhaust', another insurer wanted receipts and a rolling road print out to check the power output..... As has already been said try Sky Insurance, it's who i went with in the end. £100 less than last year and they cover any mods like for like.
  18. I changed the speakers in the front of my blobeye a few months ago and couldn't belive the useless crap that came out of the doors. I fitted a set of 16cm vibe components using the Corsa 3 spacers from halfrauds and the difference it's made is unbelievable. The factory fit speakers are held in with 3 screws so a self tapper will be needed for the spacers but they go in easy enough. The std speakers used to be maxed out with the volume on 20, the vibe's are just getting warmed up on 30 Next on my hit list is a new headunit and wiring in the sub thats been in the boot for the last 18 months!
  19. Might be a bit late Al but i'm taking the kids down to Northumberland on the 3rd. Could be a squeeze getting everything in though! If i'm needed i'll see what i can fit in.
  20. Sweet looking car, like the grills in black. I use Dodo Juice, Lime Prime to get rid of the swirl marks on the paint. Works a treat, use it after a wash and polish then once it's been applied and wiped off a nice coat of wax and the car will shine like a good un. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...40&start=40 Mines the stickered up blobeye on page 3, 2nd or 3rd entry from the top. That was after a wash, coat of Auto Glym Ultra Deep shine polish then the Lime Prime and a coat of Dodo Juice Blue Velvet.
  21. As soon as i saw it i went out and checked, your just lucky my tape measure was in the centre console!
  22. It's 32 X 15/16mm. Just checked it for ya. If you find some let me know where cos i'd like to sort the bottom intake out the same!
  23. Some nice pictures there Euan, one day i'll sort out a digital camera...... Don't know why but that SIDC badge i've got on the front grill got a bit of attention yesterday. I'm amazed it's still on there it's only stuck on with the standard backing it came with! That and i've been to the north east a few times, the kids have had 2 sets of shiny dust caps and left the easy to remove badge..... Probably cursed it for my next visit now! I do like those wheels on Als car though, suit it well.
  24. Forgot some of the older card don't have airbags.... can't remember the last car i've had that didn't have one! A friend of mine fitted one to his stripped out escort that he used for racing and it was a nightmare for insurance.... Good rating for anti-theft but some companys didn't like the removeable boss system on safety grounds. At the end of the day if they want your car they'll take it whatever it takes to get it! The more you do to deter the better i suppose.
  25. Problem with that one is you loose the airbag, i do believe. I've never seen one that you attach a standard wheel to! Always seems to be some aftermarket wheel and i've never seen one that comes with an airbag....All the connecting and disconnecting might not be good for something with an explosive in it. Personally i'd rather have the option of the airbag, cos you never know when you'll need it!
