Good luck with that! Was on track with the car at Knockhill on March 14th, and it was looking great... Saw it spin a beauty as well down the hill after the Seat Curves!!

Also used Chameleon in Renfrew for my mates GTI wheels and they did a great job, good as new. Should still be an SIDC discount as well. When they were done it was £160 total for re-con and powder coating, plus tyres and balancing etc.

Probably the windows or mirrors, (assuming no loose bodywork) My old Blob STIs used to suffer from it over 100mph, but strangely the Hawkeye doesn't at all (?????).. Wouldn't think you'll get that much for the plate, unless of course you find somebody with an 07 scooby and the initials S.V. My girlfriend bought me MC55 WRC because my initials are M.C. and i think it was somewhere around £250, as were all the plates with SUB and WRC etc. on them. Then again I do think they have all come down in price - so yours possibly was £470 when it was purchased.. Cheers, Mark

Depending on what your plans are for the car it may be quite pointless. It can cause problems with your MAF sensor, and can also suffer badly from the heat underneath the bonnet (depending what kind you get/where it is located) because hot air = less dense air = less power... If it goes on ok then you might get a bit more top end power. Some people think that the car should be mapped when you fit an induction kit and it's maybe a good idea. I wouldn't fit one now without having the car mapped again at the same time to ensure both maximum gains from the filter, and protection for the engine and turbo.. I could be wrong though....

That method won't be relevant for you mate. You will need an OBDII cable and software such as ECU Explorer or similar (check Scoobypedia). Then you can check fault codes and reset your ECU. Alternatively take it to a garage or a mate and get them to do it!! Good luck, Mark

Chris, That's just the first 8 miles.. Scott just said to me that on the box for the cat it says to drive steadily for the first few miles to bed it in. Luckily for me the road from Kilbirnie back to glasgow was busy that day!! so think I took it pretty easy.. hopefully easy enough! I think I booted it a bit once I reached the motorway, or somewhere around Lochwinnoch. I think it just needs a fairly gentle heat cycle to warm the Cat through because it's brand new. After that it's business as usual!! Mark

Meercat 100 cell sports cat downpipe in 3". Hayward & Scott 2.5" centre section and backbox. (straight through) Uprated fuel pump. Removal of resonator box inside wing - but kept standard air intake. Cosworth panel filter. Cold air scoop in bumper (for a little more cold air up to the filter, might not do much but looks good as well). AF remap - 351bhp and 381lb/ft Sounds awesome now, bit more throaty through exhaust. Standard dump valve can be heard now, and the induction whoosh and turbo spooling up sounds great!! Nice one. I got one a couple of months ago, and now mapped as well. Mind it's not a quick job, once your old one is off the new one has to be made and custom fitted bit by bit as they go... takes quite a while but it's well worth it.

My alarm on my Hawkeye has that. You can set it so that once the car is locked, you have to unlock it manually with the key (setting the alarm off) and then quickly type your pin code in and then start the car - basically meaning that the scum couldn't get away with your car even if they get the keys. It's also easy to enable/disable so no hassle really.
