thanks for the response guys no idea wat a maf is lol , however i have been told that it could be a dirty fuel filter, i think thats the best thing to get its service done the trouble shoot after then. im going to get my diff and gearbox oil aswell as spark plugs done, what do you suggest is the best oil and plugs to use?

Hey guys, Been having some problems with my car the past few days... its an 02 bugeye prodrive sti. Basically the car feels like it has no power (like mega turbo lag) but it can happen in any gear at any point when im just driving it smoothly. , like its going to cut off and bogs down almost like it goes into nutrel for a a tinny sec. When it has been lying for a day or even overnight it sometimes feels like its struggling to start? Any ideas? -> the car is due for a service (its only done about 45k) -> I have checked the oil level which is fine -> There is fuel in the car Any help appreciated.

Hey guys, Thought I'd post up on my new tyres - just fitted 4 goodyear eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's. After about 100 miles I love them, they feel amazing, sharp and the level of dry grip is great. I really bought them for the rain but its been dry since i fitted them! I came from mixed tyres, coopers and Avons and these tyres are a world apart. I heard the old Asymmetrics were immense but a bit soft on the side wall - an issue addressed with these ones, I would highly recommend them! Reasonably priced - £92 a corner from cam skill!

I gave Alastair a call and he is seems like a top guy, talked me through the options and I was glad he mentioned that he doesn't map cars to within an inch of their lives What year is your STI as 350 is an impressive figure (what bar of boost do you run?) He advised that generally he doesn't take it above 1.5 bar as that could damage the standard engine - so it would be a mild but welcome increase. I need a Decat pipe and NKG sparks - where did you get your decat? Thanks - nice to know this to avoid duplication! where do you go for yours? I agree that I am after driveability and real world performance rather than pub talk figures, I'd be interested on how you get on with your build, faster spooling would be ideal but not willing to spend 3K. Hey guys, I am looking for some advice on modifying my STI. This is my third Impreza and my first STI. It's a 2002 Bugeye STI with PPP and about 45k on the clock. I have had the car a year now and would like to make it go faster as I am used to the power. I would really appreciate any advice on upgrading the car for better handling and more power ( but need reliability as it is and will be my daily for the next few years). I have done some research and looked at Andyforrests website which gives some ideas for power. I don't want to spend thousands but don't mind some decent good value mods. So for power what would you guys recommend? - Currently that car has 305bhp with the ppp and also has a ninja catback. From my research I was thinking: - Walboro 255 fuel pump £? - upgraded intake £? - Uprated spark plugs £? - Decat + mid pipe £? A remap to round that off £? Can you guys recommend some brands/prices for my ideas? Am i right in believing that would get me to about 360bhp? or do I need an uprated turbo (also would that be reliable or strain the engine too much?) Handling: - lowering springs? - I just put on 4 brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's Brakes: - Goodridge brake lines £? - Better fluid (or is the OEM one very good?) £? - Recently put some mintex 114's on but might try Ferodo DS 2500's Any help and advice is much appreciated, thanks!

I am looking at getting one of these in the near future, I would be more than happy with the power 315bhp but from a few reviews I have read the car is pretty understeery. Has anyone owned/driven one? what are your views? (I have had a turbo 2000 and wrx-s hatchback) What could be done to improve on handling? thanks in advance.

Hi, looking for some advice. I have kerbed my drivers side alloy wheel ( due to an idiot undercutting me and nearly taking me out). I am from the Hamilton area and am looking to see if anyone can recommend a refurb place with rough prices ( if fixable). Alloys are 18'' GT1's from a new shape WRX-S. Obviously this will be difficult as you cannot see the damage. Thanks in advance.

Just curious... My brother bought a WRXS which has the prodrive pack increasing power and torque to 251bhp and 288lbft but the prodrive pack for the older model 2.5 WRX gave 266bhp and 310lbft trq. Anyone have any ideas? ( The intercooler is much smaller than the previous models) Cheers.

Fabulous car - understated in comparisons with other hot hatches - have yet to see a comparison in wet weather so that would be interesting. Im moving to Hong Kong but will be back in december - any recommendations of what I could bring back and where I could get the parts fitted?

Hi, My brother is looking at a new wrx hatchback. Subaru are offering a PPP @ £1500 for another 25PS and 90NM. Does anyone know anything about modifying this new model as apparently subaru have revised the 2.5 engine (obv PPP does not invalidate warranty).
