  1. I'm sure a few of the members will agree that you only come on here for an argument. It's a wonder you're not a millionaire, seeing as you seem to be the ONLY person that knows how to clean a car! Horses for courses, people can use what they want to achieve the finish they want. By all means have an opinion and that may be right or wrong, but don't chastise people for the products and methods that they use. It's their car and they can use it how they wish. Some like to clean, some like to drive.... So t-cut is crap as well? Oh well I wouldn't imagine we'll see that on the market for long then!!!
  2. Happy New Year everyone.. All the very best for 2010, Mark
  3. New (to me) 18s (to be picked up and reconditioned/colour coated when I get home). BC coilovers (also waiting to be picked up). A load of Whiteline gear to sort the handling, not sure exactly what yet. I'd also like to see 400bhp + , (but that's up for negotiation as I'm getting married this year) so that would roughly mean: Fuel pressure regulator + injectors maybe Turbo Headers + uppipe 3" centre and new backbox cold air induction plugs Plus another map of course.. Few cosmetics as well perhaps. Time will tell...
  4. That's awesome! I'd do it but I think I'd be more inclined to set out a few obstacles and have something to aim for. I like the bit of drifting he does but any monkey can do donuts.
  5. I've got in on dvd, and it's pretty awesome. Well worth a watch!!
  6. Yeah it's not bad from what I can see from down here! The guys seem pretty sound to deal with anyway. It's only supposed to be moving 50 metres! Where is the 92? Is it nearby? It's a busy field out here by the looks of it, but we're not usually here so don't know the place.
  7. No it's the ENSCO 102 (Jack-up). It's right in the middle of the North Sea almost directly East of Montrose. Just near the Janice Platform. About 14 hours from Aberdeen. We put out the anchors yesterday, it 'jacked-down' last night, then jacked back up and today we've recovered the anchors again without it moving an inch! Madness. Apparently the pennants on the buoys weren't long enough for the forecast 8 metre swell. So they are back in and we're waiting on weather again!
  8. "B" means MY94. Here we go.. http://www.type-ra.co.uk/faq.htm Edit: Actually just realised that you were asking about the 2nd last letter.. so now I'm not so sure. It definitely looks like a B and not an 8.
  9. You'd need to be pished to go in there! A guy from my company is barred for life for... erm... soiling himself in the bar. It wasn't the fact he did it, more the fact he ignored it and kept on drinking! But that's another story.. Have a good one..
  10. Cheers Paul... Can't win them all eh. I've only had 2 at home in the last 7 years so it's business as usual! All the best mate.
  11. Ha Ha!!! How right that is.. I should've just stayed in the Crown and Anchor, everyone knows that's where the real rig shifts take place!! Now we're on location we'll see what happens, probably nothing for days! All the best Graeme and looking forward to seeing progress with the Scooby in 2010. Cheers, Mark
  12. They should change the old saying..... "time and tide (and the oil & gas industry) wait for no man!"
  13. Cheers Kenny! Have a good one mate...
  14. Sailing out of Aberdeen at 1500 on Christmas eve to start a rig shift at 0600 Christmas day.. MOTHERFU****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can still see the pubs about 100 yards away as we're leaving.. they might as well be 100 miles!!! Think the guys on the bridge of the Northlink ferry found it rather amusing.. Merry Christmas everyone! Mark
  15. Was it turning over with the new battery? Do you have a battery charger? There is every chance the new battery isn't fully charged so if I was you I'd charge it fully and try again. Alternatively get a tow and bump start it as you said, then run about for a while to give it a charge. I would also check and test the alternator as that could be the original cause of the problem. I had a battery go from being fine to nearly nothing in the space of a couple of days and it was suddenly useless! That was about 4 years old as well. Good luck Mark
  16. To name but a few.... http://www.lateralperformance.co.uk/ http://www.hypertechscotland.co.uk/ http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/ http://www.powerstation.org.uk/ http://www.tsl-motorsport.co.uk/ http://www.scoobyclinic.com/ http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/ http://www.zenperformance.co.uk/ http://asperformance.com/ Alternatively just contact an engine builder and get them to source the parts. Cheers, Mark
  17. Hi Peter, That's great, thanks. I'll give them a shout and arrange it then. Thanks again and well done for all your efforts. Mark
  18. I'm well pleased now! So am I right in saying I have to contact Tom Hayes@RCM, and Alyn@ASPerformance directly to get my prizes? Cheers, Mark
  19. It depends how you feel about the car. I went through a spell recently of thinking about selling mine, but then I realised how good the car has been for me so far, and how I would regret getting rid of it without seeing it's full potential and what can be done, and also that I'd probably end up buying another one, and it might not be as solid a car as the one I have! So it's a bit of a lottery. If you think you've used it like you intended, and fancy a change, then sell.. But if you think there is something left to do then hang on to it!!! If you have some further plans for it then go for it, and at the end of the day you'll end up with a hugely rapid car that you know inside out! Cheers, Mark
  20. Nice one! Used to fancy one myself, they definitely have an appeal. And to have one as well as keeping the Scoob is a great choice!
  21. This looks like it could be a great one. Can't wait to see how it all works out, looking forward to the next instalment!! Cheers, Mark
