About jimmymc1

  1. your brother has one of the best looking evo's in this area i might add!
  2. evo all the way if you want just that little bit more! definately the way to go although there is no such car as an 8 gt??? dunno what you've seen but definately wasnt an 8 gt . 9 was the first to get the gt model. the ayc is not all its cracked up to be takes alot of the fun out of hard cornering tbh id go for an 8mr rs and take great pleasure in pissing allover m3's . all ud need is a decent interior and hopefully any rs u get these days would have already been fitted with alcons or similar ud be laughing! i know its a subaru forum and the usual darkside crap creeps up but its to good a car to dismiss as some sort of evil enemy! and the people on the mlr are a really good bunch of lads aswell many a cracking day/event laid on by these guys! it doesnt burble but it does have a lovely turbo soundtrack to admire as you blast along! just my opinion of course!
  3. because u get a buzz from buying and adding to your car! its supposed to outweigh the dissapointment when u break/scratch/blow up something. when it stops outweighing the damage its time to go standard! oe is the new aftermarket! buy standard keep standard thats my motto!
  4. haha someone wants to tell my boss theres a recession on! cant get 5 mins off work never mind paid off! got to get rid of the cash somewhere! yeah after the money bmw want to give me for the 330d i may just do that! robbing barstewards doesnt even come close! £10k for a 57 plate 330d full leather ,upgrades all round only 18000 miles! haha i could have fainted when they offered that ! private sale it is then! sell the uk300 aswell after new clutch is fitted not looking for much for it tho! any takers??? cheers jimmymc p.s im going to hold out for the spec c bugeye im in no rush!
  5. yeah i have ,if i could find a white sti id be v.v. happy! have found a blob spec c sti but still needs floating so could be a long wait! subaru is the avenue il be going down keighley have a white spec c bug but it looks like a pig!
  6. that is definately worth a look ! i really need to go get a look at one before pursueing the next scooby! and id rather have the bugeye than the blob tbh think its the one il go for always wanted one! lol
  7. well audi would be the way forward seeing as im selling up the bmw! haha forgot to mention aswell i dont really want a modified car been down that road and in my opinion spoils the whole experience. i think its going to be a bug or blob sti tho ,think the decent audi would be hard to come by although haveing looked now i do really fancy one! . as for the focus in orange no way. my works vans are all bright orange as are the lorries and unimogs theres no way i could comfortably drive an orange car away from work!
  8. oh thats a new one on me? al need to check that out!
  9. m3 is a couple of doors short or id be right on it! although i may still be tempted !yeah hav a worry about going fwd but have done it before ! lol
  10. im looking for a change i have a uk300 and a bmw 330d at the moment but want to get rid of both and buy one car . not spending any more than 12k what would you guys buy? im tempted to stay subaru but am looking at all the options evo, focus anything with 4-5drs really? anyone seen anything recently or hav any ideas at all? id really like to buy an s202 but not sure about the model report hasstle although a guy along the road from me has one????? a spec c might be nice aswell just not sure? im stuck between s202 - hasstle getting sva jdm sti - possibly! spec c - not found one yet evo 8 gsr - nah evo 6 rs - no leccy or aircon boo! evo 7 rs sprint - rare as rocking horse doodies! cant find one evo 5 rs - high milers nowadays focus st - hmmmmm strangely attactive? what do i go for?
  11. pretty sure thats crd's old ten second car? could be a good buy if racetech hav ironed out all the problems?
  12. mines the same i went to ian grieve subaru and was quoted £555 to supply and fit new clutch. i think thats a good price just havent had the time to book it in and get it done yet! thats for newage wrx
  13. haha i did bump into him again at arnold clarks! was in to see about an mx 5 for the wife but went for the bmw instead! i wish i had gone for a 300r aswell tbh!
  14. i have a uk300 without ppp. if i remember right the ppp was removed from mine because i was too young to get insurance for the ppp wrx at that time, that was 2003 or so when the car was just over a year old i think. it was 245ps then dropped too 218ps which it still is now! my car came from drive subaru, i bought it from the last brand specialist a certain mister mcrae! speaking of mr mcrae i havent seen many of the limited edition 300r's on the road recently! anyway i still have the certificate which states 245ps and was fitted in july 2001 so deffo the earlier ppp. also have the original bill of sale which is for £27000 for uk300 ppp plus all the extras uk300 mats, bootmat, strutbrace, short shift and so on . funny to think that thats well over sti money now! whoever purchased the car new also bought a spare wheel which i also got when i bought it????
  15. off topic here but it is full of drama queens who dont ever do anything wrong on the road , always drive in the correct manner and use the same polish on their dashboard as they do on their halo's. im just back to sidc after a trip on the darkside but was a member for some time a few years ago when the mass exodus from s/net happened (never been the same since) i appreciate that there are arguabley better quality events on the go these days but what good are they if newbie's who have witnessed the high and mighty members of todays scottish scoobies posts are too put off to bother turning up?. Which leads then too same old people in their wee clique attending and spouting crap on here. again i appologise if some are offended but im sure some will know what im talking about
