  1. Here we are...
  2. I did my last one with Auto Glym Engine and Machine cleaner. Sprayed a lot on and agitated it where it was needed with a paintbrush, then gave it a good rinse off with water (no pressure, just a plastic bottle). After that I sprayed it all over with Auto Glym Vinyl & Rubber care, and then just left it all to dry. It came up REALLY well, and the V&R care makes all the surfaces look really good, especially the plastics. Whole process never took long either. I didn't actually cover anything up before cleaning, just went for it, but in hindsight I would cover a bit more up next time. Cheers
  3. Lovely car mate.. Mon the Hawkeyes!
  4. Lovely Scooby mate. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one... Any idea what has been done to the headlights?? And more to the point how I can go about getting it done to mine?? They look amazing! Mark.
  5. Looking good..
  6. 450/500 (ish) in a Hawkeye... Maybe next year for me.. Similar level to Andy F's Spec-C, and look what that is capable of (in the right hands obviously).
  7. Nice one Joe, Scooby is looking good.. Let me know how you get on with the BCs because I'll be getting a set pretty soon.. My car is starting to sound like a woodpecker.. And after having the standard s****e shocks replaced on both of my last 2 cars I'm not doing it again..
  8. Big for the black mesh, makes the front look a lot tidier and more aggressive - which can only be a good thing!
  9. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics won a massive tyre test in EVO magazine a year or so ago, against a lot of opposition.. So they must be good..
  10. Rear anti-lift kit possibly.... or preferably both front and rear.
  11. GFB do one. As do Prodrive (as fitted to RB320) - but the Prodrive is well expensive. Speak to Duncan at Hypertech about the GFB. Supposedly shortens the throw between 3rd and 4th by about 40%.. but can't remember the exact figures.
  12. If the PPG is rated for 400bhp in first and second I would think that's for the helical cut. The straight cut synchro will be rated for a good bit more. If I was you I would have a look at this and phone them. http://www.zenperformance.co.uk/p/drivetrain Good luck. Mark
  13. Welcome to Scotland! I'm sure you will love it.. Hope you get everything that you are looking for sorted out.. Lovely Scooby you have as well! Love the Rally-X photo! Cheers, Mark
  14. Nice one mate!! That's what I like to see, taking the bull by the horns.. I think you'll end up over the moon that you never sold the car.. Keep us updated, looking forward to seeing the progress.. Got me thinking about the Hawkeye now......
  15. Haven't heard of Newera, but have been checking out a lot of cars from SVA imports, and they seem to have a LOT of nice cars. Unfortunately checking online is as far as it has gone, so not much help to you. I've never heard anything negative though - so no news can be good news.. Good luck...
  16. If you get the reg plates and pass them on to the boys in blue then it might not do any harm. If nothing else it shows that you are concerned about it, and if anything did happen that would work in your favour. Also I don't think they would tell the scumbags that it was related to your car. They might just check them out etc. But then your other plans don't sound bad either...
  17. Looks too small for an STI scoop. Definitely not for a blobeye, or a hawkeye.. Could be bug, but still looks too small.. I'd say WRX.
  18. Just what's been said already mate, and it's obviously had a good spray etc. to get all the salt and road grime off it? Depending on how long you are storing it I would think about giving it a roll out and maybe a short run round the block every few weeks to get it all up to temperature and keep things free, and clean up the discs. Alternatively give the discs a good wipe with oil and keep an eye on them. Basically just keep everything clean, don't leave the handbrake on, and don't let it think it's staying there forever! Good opportunity to tinker with a few bits and bobs yourself if you feel like it. Cheers.
  19. Can't help you because I've never had a Classic (yet).... but you'll get an absolute stormer for £5,000 I know that much! Good luck.
  20. Wheels are lovely mate. Your car is stunning as well, love the black grilles.
  21. No idea. Stronger gear kit? I don't know Jac or his car. But I wouldn't trust the standard 6 speed for any length of time with 600bhp.
  22. No it won't. Not for long anyway.. and if it's not new/great condition, then not at all. Andy F wrecked his gearbox on his Spec-C with 470/520. Can't speak for condition of the 'box beforehand, but it happened.
  23. Really sorry to hear this mate.... I know how I felt when I smashed my first one, so can only begin to guess how you must be feeling when it was nothing to do with you!! All I can say is I hope the insurance pay out as much as possible, take it on the chin and move on.. Cheers.
  24. £3500-£4000 I think mate. Shocking I know, maybe you'll get more but there have been a lot of nice high spec cars for sale recently and they have struggled to sell for what appeared to be low prices. Not sure how much you were thinking? Cheers.
  25. Done. And well deserved.
