  1. I've noticed that Tesco 99 seems to have overtaken V-power in Glasgow..... think the V-power on Pollokshaws road is going for £1.10...
  2. Revolution Motorsport are doing theirs for £130ish, went ahead and got one anyway, got it fitted and got the car today and it's cracking, wouldn't be without it, looks amazing..
  3. I thought you could, or at least they are bringing it in.. I know of one near a mates flat that goes off on oncoming traffic all the time, whether or not they get tickets for it or not I don't know...
  4. I'll go along with that, great to deal with... Maybe just phone and see what else is going cheap!
  5. Welcome.. Should be a cracking car....
  6. I had a Golf GT (silver) trying to race me the other day on the M8. Guy was an idiot but it had a fair turn of speed over a distance..
  7. Cheers everyone, something to think about there.... Few bits around here that i'm fairly sure would rip it off... I'll give it some more thought!!
  8. Some absolute beauties there mate, nice one... Suppose I should be the first to say welcome!!!! Oh and I think there will be a few on here will disagree with you saying your latest one is nothing special. Looks very nice..
  9. Alright people, looking for a bit of advice from someone in the know... Got my eye on a Hawkeye STI and when it comes i'm wanting to stick the Prodrive springs and a lip spoiler on. Only problem is i'm a bit concerned about ripping it off on something too easily.. I get the occasional ferry and obviously they're all different but some of the ramps are brutal. So if anyone has any experience or advice from the same thing i'd appreciate it, otherwise it could end up a bit of a pointless and expensive exercise... Also is anyone using the lip spoiler available through the dealers/website etc..? No pictures on the website so can't see if it's any good.. Cheers.
  10. I went to Dicksons of perth with one of my mates, him with a 55 plate CTR, and looking for an Integra, and me with my 03 STI, and the guy single handedly convinced us both to walk out the door within minutes.. mainly by offering ridiculous trade in prices... then said that they don't get many scoobies in because they don't sell well and aren't worth much... Knob..
  11. Why not?
  12. I wish they would.. Somehow I don't think they would have a problem getting them shifted...
  13. That shouldn't be too much to ask.... surely...
  14. I would think there has to be something... Navy blue with gold wheels would be ideal.. Then again don't know what direction they will go in with the new car.. hopefully continue firing out the odd special edition.
  15. I've heard the same thing.. must be the same coffee shop.. Haven't heard the Mcrae name in the same sentence though... It's just because I would definitely buy one if they do, and thinking about getting an RB320 so keen to find out if it's worth hanging off for something else.... (not that an RB320 is a compromise!!)
  16. Just wondering if anyone had heard any rumours through the grapevine of another Series Mcrae or something similar??I know it might be a bit early... but i've been thinking about it quite a lot and thought i'd check...
  17. Sounds like the same thing, probably nothing to worry about...
  18. I've just got a really long parking space... Think I spotted you last week on the East Kilbride/Tradeston M8 exit, I was stuck in a jam on the main motorway so only caught a glimpse... could be barking up the wrong tree of course, wouldn't be the first time...
  19. Stick under 70 and I might as well buy something that does more than 19 to the gallon... You never saw Shergar taking donkey rides on Blackpool beach........
  20. Cheers man might give that a go, it's a brutal buzzing but not it's not a daily occurence so i'm sure I can live with it!! Of course if it's accompanied by a NEEE NAWWWW then the wipers and door seals won't matter much anymore!! Neither will my licence.... and i'd quite like to keep a hold of that..
  21. I'll just start here by saying before anyone saddles up the high horses, or prepares to burn me at the stake... (perhaps quite rightly so) I am talking about private roads here, and not her majestys' highway.... Too many potholes in her majestys' highway!! So that being said has anyone experienced a loud buzzing noise starting at about 120-130mph and getting worse from then on up? It's a blobeye STI... Could be a bit of bodywork vibrating but just wondering if anyone has had the same and therefore it might be fairly common...? Cheers chaps.
  22. Battery is going, mine did the same and got progressively worse because the alternator was on the way out, would only get one chirping start and then had to keep her running for a while to save up for another.... If you've not been using it much that will be the reason... might just need a good old run and that will be that...
  23. Glad to hear its hopefully over now mate... and you can forget all about it... Lovely car by the way.. I'll keep an eye out for it down this way, but he'll probably be out racing corsas and running old women off the road... Your car wasn't damaged before but i'm willing to bet it will be a write off pretty soon if the pr*ck gets what he deserves..
  24. I would say Ian Grieve.... That's where i'll be taking mine... have had some other work done and they have been considerably cheaper than some other garages...
  25. Cheers for that, i've read what Grant said and understood it. Just to clarify I only said "a second or so", i wasn't actually saying it was one second, just indicating there was a time period... I'm an engineer anyway (ships not cars right enough) so I can understand what he's saying.... Think i'll stick the standard valve back on, always thought i got more of a push in the back with that on - had put it down to being new to the car and thought it was in my head but maybe i'll try it again..... Cheers for your help dudes..
