  1. I emailed him last Tuesday, still waiting. Thinking maybe he's having some time off?? Either that or is busy. Keep trying, sure he'll reply soon as can.
  2. Yeah, is a good change for basically a free mod.
  3. Hello and welcome. The cars looking good.
  4. You did the right thing stopping, better to get (at worst) a slap on the wrist than have on your conscience the "what if he's not alright" or worse if you found out he ended up not being okay !! Unless reported by another road user can't see how you'd get in bother. He's not going to say anything as he'll void his insurance and get himself in bother also. Besides, I think the two of you were driving within the speed limits just checking out acceleration to that speed limit...weren't you !?
  5. Lookin good. Agree, does make a nice difference. Tell your neighbour someones trying to steal his wheels !
  6. ...and how uncomfortable would that have been sitting on the car floor driving round to visit the relatives over the festive period !
  7. Might be better now Gus ?
  8. For those that have changed their newage (blobeye in particular) up-pipe from the cat'd standard one, what one did you change it to and has it proved dependable i.e. no leaks or splitting. I hear good idea to replace when decating/sportscating the rest of the exhaust as up-pipe cat cat pieces can break up ??? Also gives just that little bit more power.
  9. Not one reply ???? Okay, can I ask is it worth getting the Samco turbo to intercooler "Y" pipe over OEM when going for a modest power increase ?
  10. I'm a little uneducated in this type of thing so need some expert help (that's a lot of you! ) Turbo Hose Kit : I think the ppp comes with this upgrade but is the Samco version just as good ? If you run a power upgrade from standard it is an advised change is it not ? I think this is what I am looking for, basically just the "Y" pipe I originally wanted but the kit is fine as a couple of extras in there - http://www.scoobyparts.com/acatalog/SAMCO_...W_AGE_WRX_.html As far as I can see it is a same standard part number / design for all newage.
  11. Two sides to the mobile units : For : Had my wifes 18" TT alloy wheels done by very similar (think they were known as wheel wizard) as they were badly kerbed. From a distance the finished article looked good but up close & being picky about it it just didn't quite look like the high standard finish I thought I was going to get, basically just looked spray painted which I guess is what they claim to do and I did just want rid of the obvious kerbing. They did however begin to flake a bit about a year after, but I can't say for sure that was because of the refurb ?? Against : My neighbour got his Z4 wheels done by the same person. Wheels were in a bad way but what a rubbish job the guy did. When neighbour pointed this out to the guy he just said it was due to the type of alloy wheel the Z4 has on it...and couldn't really answer why he didn't say so before he began ! After about 6 months the alloys were badly flaking and so he phoned the company back - after about 3 weeks of chasing (such and such on holiday you have to deal with him etc etc!) he finally got someone at their main site in Glasgow who said we'll take a look at it but you'll have to bring the car in and leave it. Now they came out to do the refurb but wouldn't come back out to correct or look at the complaint. He used the mobile service cause he can't do without the car day-to-day ! Just my experiences. Gather loads of questions and fire then at the guy that you have in mind. For me, if there is a next time, I think I'd maybe head the way of powdercoating though.
  12. One day I'll get to sample the mans work first hand, one day !!
  13. Reckon claying should shift it. Not sure but also perhaps Autosmart Tardis or Autoglym Tar remover might also do it?? Give me a shout if it doesn't work.
  14. That looks like a huge spoiler, good job the engine is in the front otherwise could tip back ! It's your car and as long as you like it ! Did it just replace the normal STi one ?
  15. Saw some black ones for sale - think the red looks okay to me though http://bbs.scoobynet.com/private-sale-gene...r-out-time.html
  16. Nice nice. Well done fitting them yourself, you ain't half learning your way around the car !
  17. Impressive idea if it works out ! Think you'd have a good number of people interested, whether 200 who knows, and I guess that's where the problem might lie is if you don't get to the 200 people.
  18. Saw a Black blobeye STi on Wednesday over Whitburn way and it had the big swoosh and stars in gold. As you say either do or don't like it and i guess that's true for the graphics colour choice too. There's one or two with quite a bit of knowledge/experience with the graphics so I'm sure you'll get good info on it all soon enough.
  19. Looking good - both the clean up and its general look ! Thought you must've been nuts cleaning outside at the moment in first few pics, but then it got taken inside !
  20. That's excellent Cal. Why was the mic next to the speaker all the way round though , as much as I like that tune be better to hear some commentary !!
  21. Sooo, already having prodrive springs fitted, if I fit a front splitter I can get out of having to go to the shops !! Thinking the wife might not accept that as a good reason !!?
  22. Doubt it ! Although would cost double the mods if I had two (and had money to do the mods!!) ! Found the advert and it is Buy a brand new Ford Galaxy TDCI Zetec, Ford Focus CC2 or CC3 or a Ford S-Max Zetec at Fords RRP and get a brand new Ford Ka Zetec Climate with a RRP of £9145 free. Not quite as good as originally suggested but even still. If, which I ain't, was looking I'd just ask for £9145 off the price !
  23. Nice one. Must be even more unique in that not many wagons have had "improvements" to those numbers ! Maybe one day I'll get to do similar. Good to see the choices you went for though.
  24. Just a bit unlikely to happen, but just imagine if the new STi was on the same deal as a Glasgow Ford garage is offering today (on selected models) of buy one get one free (if I heard the advert right!!). I'd be just a little bit tempted !! . There's a catch surely ?? How sick would you feel if you'd just bought a new Ford covered by the offer last week thinking 10% off was a good deal now knowing that the buy1get1free offer is on!
