IF somewhere like Grieves have one in stock and it is a covered via warranty then just take the Falkirk one and cancel the other one ?
-
Still a bit unconvinced on the 2008 WRX's looks. Saw the STi in Falkirk and it was kinda okay, but they had (maybe still do) a demo car with upgraded wheels and it looked good. Never driven so can't comment there. Thought about 2nd hand Hawkeye and mod it !?
-
If I remember right Ian Grieve of Falkirk had a nice P1 in their showroom last time I was in, but that was a few weeks ago. Had a folder full of info. Not sure about price, history (ALL in the folder by look of it!!), mileage etc but it did look good.

Larkhall out today so had to go to get ripped off up in Overtown...5p dearer than Larkhall. With the light on had no choice.

Wheels aren't actually as bad as I though they'd be, the stripes help it "blend" in a bit (if that's the right phrase??). Might cause an accident or two as people have a good stare at them - certainly eyecatching and different !!!
-
Good on you for giving it a go yourself, seems okay from the distance the pics were taken. The stripes I think seem okay actually. The shake-n-bake is a no especially when it has no meaning - sounds like your advertising a food product ??!.The jw340 is okay but just seems either wrong size and/or in the wrong place, fine that it is somewhere though as it has meaning. Already mentioned but it looks like somethings missing - maybe we're just too used to seeing you car fully decaled up ? Keep those wheels for the track...would be tooo much on the road ! Just my opinions, it is your car and important thing is that you like it.

Nice. Just slightly jealous as I went down more the styling route. What exhaust system you fitting ?
-
It'll look good suppose...from a distance. Cheap and cheerful and gets the muck/flies off. No need for fancy drying equipment either suppose, just get a bit of speed up .

Nice work Frank. Perhaps I'm bias cause I'm one of the many (I think!?) that enjoy reading about folks detailing exploits. I thought this was a general forum for all to enjoy all Subaru topics, ask questions and show off their cars...whether it be new wheels / new turbo / new suspension / hours cleaning your pride & joy / etc etc etc. Share info with everyone and swap tips of all kinds. Isn't it ? Keep em coming !

Good work, another clean Scooby on the road, making me feel even more guilty about my own !!
-
Well done, must be a first owning 10 ! Very nice Gus. Sooo, just a guess, you like Scoobies then !? Which ones been your favourite....so far ?
-
First pics a good one, shows the car off very nicely. Nice reflection on the last pic, very clean.

Although Cal doesn't have his anymore he did do a write up on the stages he took his car through, gradually increasing the power to just over the 300bhp mark. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...p;hl=thundercat . Good reading and well researched, might be helpful to you to go straight to what you want out of it. Doesn't have to be exact same products but good guide. If you're looking for the around the 280 mark (and you will soon realise that will soon become "for now"!) perhaps go for something like a full decat, panel filter and then take it over to Andy F. Don't neglect the brakes and suspension for future mods.

What did you get done ? Reckoned output now ? The modding fever is just never ending, whatever the output/look it's never be enough !

How's things Cal. Duncan (Hypertech) was having a good laugh at me and the good wife nearly having a domestic when he was explaining to me about what whiteline gear to get in what order. Seriously though, no more spending.....for now ! Ground clearance is fine, tested them out in the John Lewis car park over the weekend and no issues. Not sure about the wheel nuts as the distributor messed up their delivery to Skidz so I got an extra discount/deal for which the nuts were to be supplied if not already with the wheels. Give Skidz a call and ask them if they do gold, although can't say I saw any on their display. Thanks to All for the good comments, was bit worried when I saw them on at first but they quickly grew on me. The kerbs and I now stay well away from each other !!!

Just got new tyres and was recommended Yokohama Paradas (although this might have been sales pitch to shift them??), part of an alloy wheel deal so don't know tyre price. They look the part and coped well in last Thursday's heavy rain after only about 100miles done, they are meant to get better grip wise in the wet after 500miles. They look good too.
-
Nice looking car there. Welcome.
-
Just hazarding a guess here....are you enjoying being a scooby owner by chance !? Looks good.
-
Liking your car, never would've guessed it was a sport, of which there's nothing wrong with.
-
Lookin good Gus, that colour shines very nicely in the sun. Good pics for a camera phone too !
-
Ah, never stop being impressed by that, tried it once (think it is scarier doing engine than machining bodywork!!) and got nowhere near that clean. My name is Colin by the way. Suppose getting the bodywork done then just looking after it will work well, you seem dedicated enough to make it happen.

Ah, well done, I know it was a toughy but yes prodrive springs and some new wheels. Thanks to Ian Grieve for the springs - need to be nice to them as they're dealing with a "money back" thing for me ! Can't say I notice a huge difference since fitted but I'm driving slower for bit with the new rubber on. Thanks to Skidz for the good price on the alloys and tyres - I know it was as the distributor messed up delivery so I got a little extra off ! Customer services well handled by Skidz. At first glance I thought they were a bit too blingy for me, but have to say they're really growing on me now...just as well given I've paid for them !! Thanks to the Dunc's at Hypertech for the geometry setting and the chat that kept him away from his work ! Top man. To quote the wife - "Now that's it, no more spending on the car for a while". She never defined time length on "for a while" Detail soon and 3rd brake light needs fixed are next on the list :
-
Finally got to spend some money . Couple of changes over the last few days, can you see them ??! The before picture : Couple of after pictures : ...and yes I know it is filthy in the wheel arch !!
-
Nice one Colin, looking very nice. You seem knowledgeable enough to do your own detailing, surprised you're taking it all the way up to pb when you could manage yourself. You should've posted a pic of your engine bay as it is now...still remember near clean perfection pics from a while back. These clean car pics keep reminding me I've still got the job of getting stuck in to mine! Not having had much time in the past few months for proper car care the paintwork is swirly with the ocassional light scratch that needs attention - just can't get a full weekend set aside to do it all !!
