  1. yes, it is indeed!
  2. Driving a Scooby offers a raft of wonderful audible experiences: the sound of that awesome flat four; the famed Scooby burble, and lets not forget some other choice sounds like BOVs and induction sounds. However, one of my favourites is when one hits 2k revs and the whine of a spooling turbo kicks in and gets higher and higher in pitch as the car gets faster and faster... a bit like a mini-jet enjine. However, what I can't fathom is that some days I hear it very clearly, yet other days its not quite so audible. Is it jsut me or is there an explanation for this? JW
  3. Yeah, they look good, but will just RB270 look like every other Rally-decalled Scoob, that's why I got shot of mine
  4. Ha! Cool. No one took any decent pics the last couple outings, so look forward to it
  5. You're welome. I can see I missed a good day. I'll be at the next one
  6. nice car Rich!
  7. Yeah, I agree with that. The Bugs do take a bit of a slagging, but with one or two subtle mods, these cars look as good as any of the other models and perhaps more agressive.
  8. Great pics. I hate missing out... hate it!
  9. Cheers Kenny. Still waiting to get it done. I got the cash off the girl, but going to put the car in when I'm on holiday week when I don't really need the it. That seems like a decent price for the refurb. I got mine done 18months ago, and you wouldn't belive the state they are in. The laquer is falling off in huge chunks, bubbling up everywhere. Joke man. The wheels look like they're 10 years old. Won't be going back there.
  10. Car's looking braw. Where is that wheel place you mentioned and much did the refurb cost you?
  11. LOL! you'd be surprised!
  12. na, dont like that at all.
  13. Hmmm, can't see a difference in looks between that and any other Classic. Am I missing something
  14. Great! Once the better weather comes in ma man!
  15. Get the pics up when they're fitted dude!
  16. Thought Iain chucked it? If not, I'll need to get him over to do mine
  17. Well you can't on the one hand say that he will regret it and on the other hand say they come off easily. The only thing that gets wasted is money, not the car. I already said that I don't think that I'd plaster a Spec Ed with graphics, however, what if was a unique self-designed GB 270 scheme? That way you get your graphics AND your Spec Ed retains its identity.
  18. I think decals are a great way to individualise your car, hence the reason why I have them. However, Colin's right when it comes to Special Edition cars, leave it man, or if you really must, then add some make some real small and subtle editions, maybe around a GB270 theme.
  19. Oh I wouldnt know anything about that, would I? LOL!!!
  20. Yeah, they do use a bit more but not as much as you are suggesting though, might wanna get that checked out.
  21. I'm sure I saw him at either the last Glasgow meet, or the one before that.
  22. Do you have to cook it on a slow heat for ten mins before bringing it to the boil then its ready to run? Happy birthday!
  23. Yeah, I know what all the numbers mean, and yes any 17" tyre will fit any 17" wheel in diameter, however, as you pointed out, the diameter is not the only factor. If the tyre is narrower than the width of the wheel, then this could cause issues with the bead not completing an air-tight seal at the wheel's rim.
  24. Cheers mate!
