the squiggle Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Grant, is it that bad that you can't talk? At 80mph on the motorway we can talk without too much trouble! Between the tyre roar and exhaust anything over about 50 is a struggle. With the lightened flywheel it really hates anything under 2000 rpm on even the slightest of incline. Sound deadening has been removed from the boot floor and passenger compartment floor so that does not help but even with these gripes I still love it for it's amazing ability to make me smile everytime I drive it.
badbaz Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I'm same Grant, have no sound deadening anywhere and can talk at 80mph, we'll need to compare!

euan_r Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 i shall have to get a simtek with maf delete, purely for engine safety.
the squiggle Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 And you want my straight cut? oh yes. The Peltor will do it's thing as I have no intention of reducing the volume that is generated from the car so may as well strengthen the weak parts and have some confidence that the gearbox is not going to implode with some spirited driving. Lucky for me that my MOT tester is as deaf as a fencepost

gus the bus Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I think there were a few cars on the forecourt at Ian Grieves that you hadn't owned yet Gus - maybe pick up a few? B Not a chance Brian RA is doing the job just fine. I've now owned it over a year and a half
DR Motosport Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Finish converting my STi to more of a proper track car. Will make final suspension decisions after I can see what I can blag at the Autosport Show. Then look to buy a new road car for myself.
4Hero Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Mods for 2010, hmm, I want a car with 4WD The amount of time I've been stuck in snow over winter is depressing.
