  1. Just on to pm a mate and noticed this. I went in the huff when you took the picture of my car away at the side of the screen. It was debated at the time when changes were made re. members/non-members. I didnt feel welcome anymore so left so to speak.
  2. Not been on here for a while for various reasons. Just would like to say sorry that you were having to sell the car in the first place Grant. Hope to bump into you soon Callum thats two Subaru's Ive wanted to buy youve ended you furker. Seriously though, glad you walked away and cant imagine how bad you must feel. Such a shame this was an iconic car for SIDC imho
  3. Your car sounds like its in the best of hands cant wait for a wee go. ps Spa Franchorchamp in case you cant get through to the link

  4. Im good mate. Your not going to believe where Im going next week. If your home you can bring a support vehicle for a change

  5. Keep it Gus, it's just too nice to sell. Im sure I've told you in the past but it's always my favourite Subaru on the SIDC stand.
  6. You going on track on Sunday or just the wash and go, sorry , show n shine. Looking forward to seeing your car in the flesh either way mate. Got trackday insurance sorted for the Elise so ill be taking that unless its pissing down. Catch up on Sunday
  7. Ill be there Not sure which car ill be taking, probably the 205.
  8. Cheers mate. Got to agree the Exige was certainly a better looking car. They are expensive to buy but I sold my Exige for a grand more than I paid for it, I worked out it cost me just £20 a month to own including tax, insurance and servicing. But i saved £30 a month in petrol
  9. Pistonheads, Scottish Elises or SELOC are the places to find Elises. A lot of them are going abroad but there are plenty of K series S1's around the 8-10k mark. Honda's dont come up often so you have to be quick when they do and you will pay between 13-16k depending on quality of the car. Considering S1 Exige Honda's are now going for 26k+ its a bargain Its 10k for a turnkey Honda conversion from the main suppliers but Im sure it can be done for a lot less. Speak to Stevie Whitson Im sure he could do one for you. Audi Engine conversion is also an option if you want really crazy bhp
  10. Yep Alan and Jen are good folks and Alan knows Honda's as well as anyone. Told him a long time ago if he was selling it I'd have it and he was good enough to give me time to sell the Exige
  11. Saw you'd posted in a track topic and thought for a second you were coming out to play at last. Im needing my hair done Barry any chance you can fit me in on wednesday?
  12. Lol, If it was a race round circles I might stand a chance But they'd need to be little ones
  13. Not planning to. But I wasn't planning on taking the last one up the strip either. Reckon it will be in the 12's. It has launch control but I haven't given it a go yet.
  14. That was the original plan Kenny, but its more than fast enough for now.
  15. Much much faster, makes the Exige feel like a Bus. The engine and gearbox are amazing compared to the Toyota ones in the Exige. Took Braveheart out in it and I think even he was surprised how fast it is.
  16. Must be hard to sell after all the work thats gone into it Fraser but Im sure youve thought hard about it. Shame after all the time youve put into the SIDC your seen as simply a Non-member now
  17. Hi thought it was about time i posted my new car. The Exige was a great car so it was going to take something special to replace it. Got this S1 Elise last week. Those of you who do SIDC trackdays might already know the car. Kind of went backward but its a better car in every respect. Its kinda like the lightweight classic v's modern newage thing Spec: K20 Honda Engine, Hondata K-Pro Ecu, Tubular custom exhaust system, Nitron 2 way adjustable suspension.
  18. Its petrol, tax and insurance prices guys. Thats why I bought a Lotus. Insurance less than half price including trackday cover, double the mpg and bombproof residuals add up to a lot of money over the course of a year. I worked out that the car was free based on saving on petrol alone. Not all cars are hard to sell, I had a queue. I sold the Exige in 2 weeks for more than I paid for it, after 2 years ownership its a no brainer. Do miss my Subaru but it got to the stage I was taking the wifes car to save money
  19. Lol. You know Im only joking Cathy. Planning on joining soon. Its worth it alone for the Trackdays and dont want to miss out on my cuppa at the SIDC stand
  20. Blooming heck Cath didn't think you would join the persecution of us "Non-Members"
  21. Happy Birthday Must be about time you grew up then
