Solberg is lying in 4th after the 1st day. Bit better than the last few rallys! Ford in the lead!!

I was in the same thought a few weeks ago. Got a magnex 3.5 round back box, and the decat mid section. Its just nice, and not to loud. In town its just the nice burble, but really nice if you open it up. I would recommend that mate!

Used to have a Mondeo, and they are really good cars. I even considered a ST220 prior to the Subaru, till I seen the price! Although they are rare and hold there price! Why you get rid of the Scooby?

As a teenager my I was a bit off a chain smoker, so one of my mates used to call me tabbit(tabs)! D for Dave and born in 77= Dtabbit77 It was the first thing I used a a user name years ago and I use it for pretty much everything. Would have chose a different name to be honest, but I was a tad drunk when I joined and it was force of habbit!

One for you bikers! Just crazy...a wheelie at 200 mph! http://videos.streetfire.net/video/f/c42bc...81d007ae795.htm

Heard good things about motorpoint. Personally though, I would not buy a car brand new. You lose far to much money, sometimes up to three grand the second you drive out of the showroom. I would go to Subaru and get one that is 1-1 1/2 year old. Thats my plans for next year anyway. Hope you get a nice one soon!

Good pictures mate....shame about the real classic subaru getting a tow back though!

I have had a shot of my friends M3. Real fun in the dry, but just dangerous in the wet. Even with the traction control on! Thats why I would not get one though....The Scooby is predictable in all conditions, while the M3, or any rear wheel drive is just dangerous if you push it in the wet!

When you first posted the new parts I thought it would look rubbish, but its not bad at all. Agree that you should get the mirrors and splitter though, then it would be well smart!

I have always thought that all these detectors would only pick up the mobile guns when its to late. However, my friend swares he has been saved on at least 5 occations by the Angel. Hopefully I do not prove him wrong!

Better get a new tyre pretty quick! I had someone slash my tyre a few weeks ago. It was on the tyre wall, but it did not burst it. Luckily my Bro in Law noticed it before I did. I dread to think what might have happened if I had been flying down the motorway and it blew!

What about B? Ha ha! I purchased a Road Angel Plus today to replace the crappy laser detector I had bought for £70 from ebay. All it detected was traffic lights and automatic doors! Very impressed so far, although still to come across a mobile site to really test it. It good that you can actually get a proper speed to. My speedo is slightly higher than my actual speed, but thats always the norm.

You need to sign up and get a Photobucket login. Then you can put them on from there mate.

Centre pipe question - Fastscooby/Wagonwheels
david_taylor replied to st3ph3n's topic in Scottish Scoobies
When selecting a decat mid section lately, I had the same worries, so I went to Hypertech in Bonnybridge and got the low down from Duncan. When looking online, I found it a little confusing, not being the mechanic type. I would try giving him a call and tell him what you got, he will give you the info no probs should you not get a answer tonight here mate. -
I had a good look on the web, and they do appear legal, but everything refers to English and Welsh Law. Here is a quote "Are Laser Jammers legal in the UK. There have been no reported cases on the use of laser jammers and there is no law outlawing them or their use. The only reference to an action brought by the police against a driver using a jamming device (although not a laser jamming device) was brought in 1999 under s5 of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1947. This case established that provided radio/micro wave emissions did not attempt to transmit to a receiver whether specific or otherwise no offence had been committed. Therefore simply surrounding an object (e.g. a car) with transmitted radio/micro waves is not an illegal act notwithstanding the fact that the effect would be to disrupt the lawful use of another transmitting device (e.g. a radar gun). It seems to me that the same principle should apply to lasers but as far as I can tell this has never been tested in court."

Dont know if its true for sure. But I think the reason they are banned and the detectors are not was to do with them detector only receives and reads signals, which they cannot ban. However as the jammer sends a signal, then that makes it illegal. Im sure you will find some info on the net to confirm though.

Stephen Seing as there was a 14 year old boy knocked down and killed in Falkirk a few weeks ago by a hit and run driver, then I agree with them sitting there at anytime of the day. I am of the opinion that 30 limits, etc, in built up areas are there for a reason. However I do agree sitting over motorways and just inside a 30-50 limit for example is purely a money making excercise. Get a traffic light and automatic door(meant to detect speed traps) detector like mine. Although I do remember you thretened to throw it out the window one time eh! With regards to the jammer, I read a article online saying they are not legal in Scotland, and that the police can conviscate your car if they find it. Dont know if this was true though! Dave

About 8 years ago my mate wrote of a 2 year old M3, then a 8 month old Impreza in the space on 8 months = £40,000 pound worth of cars! Obviously it was near impossible to get insurance after that. So he ended up with a wee black one of these. I will never forget the first time I saw him blasting down the road in it with the tunes blaring...hilarious! He loved it right enough.

I was told by Alex F Noble Subaru Dealership that any STI from 2000 back were all imports. So that does sound like a dodgy one.

Stealing someones dog...honestly, that is low. Having always had a dog, I would be devestated. Thats as close as you can get to kidnapping a member of your family. Pity you cant get tracking microchips eh! Could be a market for that the way society is these days.
