I never met the man, but because of the way Colin came across, I felt like I knew him... I am very upset and this is one of those moments that I'll remember for the rest of my days; where I was when I heard the news, in the same way I do about Senna, Princess Diana etc. Colin came across as a very down to earth person and we have lost an amazing ambassador for Scottish Motorsport. My heart goes out to the family of all involved at this terrible time. Thankyou for brightening up our lives Colin, even though it was for a tragically short time, rest in peace mate. Cheers, Grant

I never met the man, but felt like I knew him and am truely upset at this horrible news.. in addition to coming across as a very down to earth person, we have lost an amazing ambassador for Scottish Motorsport. Thoughts go out to the family at this time. Thanks for everything you did Colin, rest in peace. Cheers, Grant

I park over two spaces in the Scoob and will continue to do so.. but the times I get to drive that mean the Supermarket/Public Car Parks are very quiet so its pretty acceptable IMO. For busy car parks through the day then I'll take the company car along, however, I still get very pi$$ed off if something happens to it............... for instance, I parked on the street outside my house the other night and came out to find a scuff, possibly a football, possibly a bumper on the rear bumper of the company car. Not a fan, specially as I live in a very quiet cul de sac meaning it was a neighbour. Cheers, Grant

Saved a packet going from the MY99 Wagon UK Turbo to the MY07 STi Spec-D... I'm not just over 600quid FC for that, which isnt too bad at all, thats with Admiral on a Multi-Car Policy. Cheers, Grant

I dunno, been out in a few well sorted RS cars and they are pretty awesome when they're going, I still really fancy a Cossie at some point... probably a 3dr. [H] lol @ the woodland animal, had to be you!! [] Cheers, Grant

A few people on here are ex-RS or Fast Ford owners. [H] Personally I dont think there is anything wrong with Fords............. and I'm waiting for some smarta$$ to say: nothing much right with them either!! [] What did you drive before?? Cheers, Grant

The MY98 was 208 as standard... and the 99-00 Classics were 215 as standard. Hope that helps. [H] Cheers, Grant

Ok, I talked to Andy today.. the details are as follows: Minimum Number?? This is a deal for 10 people and over, which I'm pretty confident we have here without any problems. Price?? £460+VAT instead of the RRP of £650+VAT quoted on his Website.. EDIT.. For mapping tweaks then its best to get in contact with Andy directly as we never covered that topic today. Duration?? Ideally he'd like to wrap it up before the end of October, however, if you give him a call to discuss this then there might be a wee bit of come and go with dates.. as long as you dont take things too far and ask to hold the Group Buy price months along the line things should be cool. Just try to understand that he's a busy and popular person for this type of thing so you might have to accomodate him, rather than the other way round. What to do next?? Make sure your name is added to the list on here and then give Andy a call or e-mail using the details below, mention the Group Buy and arrange dates/details from there yourselves. If you could stick an update on the thread once you've arranged things with Andy then that'd be great to see how successful this has been... E-mail: info@andyforrestperformance.co.uk Mobile: 07720 888610 Telephone: 01875 811811 I hope that this is tempting enough for the minimum of 10 people to get involved and make this Group Buy a reality. You just have to have a wee search around the forum to see how well regarded Andy's mapping is and how many of the Scottish Scoobies cars have paid a visit to Port Seton. I've been in a few cars that have been mapped by Andy and the difference post-map is absolutely amazing, I cant wait to get my own car mapped. [H] The List is: RS Grant Fivetide 360ste (end of Oct early Nov ) IainC Toby69 drb5 Rossco_ Power Junkie Scooby222 Spooks Playsatan STi_Bandit (date & price dependant) Richie Cross (again date/price) Fai17 Chris_C201 (just a map tweak!) KINGHORN Fonzy ( Should be ready for October) craigwrx daves2rs (Map with ESL chip, Middle September) ImprezaPete Cheers, Grant

They really are great results considering the mods.. weird question, but with the new found power, what sort of mileage are you getting from a full tank?? [] Gus, you know you want to mate, just a couple of cheeky wee mods to free things up a little..... its actually a safety mod, the car will be quicker overtaking slow moving traffic which reduces the time on the wrong side of the road..... Haha, you can use that one if you want?? [] Cheers, Grant

For the radiator, I've heard good things about the Koyo products... and for the Oil Coolers then Mocal seem to have a good name too mate. [H] Cheers, Grant

Fuji Heavy Industries Six ......no idea!! Three Legacy Saloon ......cant remember its name, but think I bought one in Gran Turismo!! Fuji... if there is such a place?! WRC Impreza IM 1993.. Total guess!! How'd I do..... [] Cheers, Grant

Ok, just going to throw up a wee list to keep a tab on who's interested (date dependant) obviously.. I'm not sure how the last Group Buy worked, I think that a set of names were put forward to Andy and he decided how long to let the Group Buy run for & how much discount to give. I'll e-mail him over the weekend, probably Sunday night. I am looking to get mine done in about a couple of months, probably October onwards... once I get a reply from him then I'll have a better idea about how soon he is able to start it and how long he's willing to let it run for...... plus, the most important bit, the price!! [] Spooks, I'm sure that Andy would be able to give you a PPP-esque map if you were able to source the relevant extras (Walboro, Panel Filter & Exhaust Bits). Would make the car a completely different drive for very little outlay, which is exactly what I'm wanting with my car, something a little more punchy (and lighter on the pocket) than PPP but without having to change turbos, intercoolers, injectors etc.. [H] RS Grant Fivetide 360ste IainC Toby69 drb5 Rossco_ Power Junkie Scooby222 Spooks Playsatan Like I said, this is just a list of prospective customers, so feel free to add your name to the list because obviously the more people we get signed up for this then the lower the prices are going to be for us all. [] Cheers, Grant

Thanks for the reply mate. [H] 355-360bhp... that must be an absolute rocket to drive and like night and day from the standard performance, interesting, certainly gets the cogs turning... [] Cheers, Grant

How did you get on with the re-map then mate?? Is it an STi or WRX Hawkeye you've got?? [H] Cheers, Grant
-
....just wondering if anyone out there fancies getting a Group Buy organised for Re-Map & Map Tweaks by AndyF?? I might well be in the market to get The HOF (Hand Of Forrest) to do his thing with the Spec-D in the next couple of months. [] Cheers, Grant

Surely the box has gotta be a concern at a sustained 320lb/ft and over... or are the current crop of 5-speeds a bit stronger than the Classic 5's were. [] Cheers, Grant
-
But if you want your Magnex stuff.... then the couple of bits you listed will sound good but not stupidly loud and should pass the MOT without a problem with just the downpipe CAT section fitted. [H] Cheers, Grant

Very nice.. I thought you'd gone STi from the other post... but thats a nice looking car. It'd be rude not to at least throw on a wee backbox to release a wee bit of the burble!! [][H] Cheers, Grant
