  1. I think there are a lot of older classics that have fallen into the hands of people who arent into the whole 'subaru thing'.... but then I suppose you could say the same for most places now that these cars are so damn cheap. Cheers, Grant
  2. Is this a free-for-all day, where you get 500quid Novas up against 50k Porsches.. and the "rubbing's racing" rule is applied.. or is it more quality stuff (>6k) having a laugh but not giving it max attack moves and nudging other cars out the way?? Cheers, Grant
  3. Tanabe stuff is good quality... but if you've had it to a couple of people that know what they're doing and they say its gubbed, then I'd probably go with their advice mate. Cheers, Grant
  4. All the best for the future Iain... sorry to hear about what you're going through, if you do need anything then just say and I'll be there. Cheers, Grant
  5. That'll have been pugpaul in his Urban Grey STi... I thought it might have been you from the description of car and pilot that he gave. Cheers, Grant
  6. He used a gun called an SLR... I believe he's actually known in some circles as Callum the Gun... Cheers, Grant
  7. Ah right, nah.. mine is just a bit slow to turn, doesnt sound as major as what you're describing... but then mine lives in a garage 24/7 in the tropical state of fife. Haha. Cheers, Grant
  8. Nice pics mate.. this photography thing is really starting to interest me, damn... Cheers, Grant
  9. Dunno if its cold weather related, but mine does tend to be a bit sluggish to crank when I leave it for over 7 days... think its the alarm/tracker draining the battery, nothing major to worry about, dont think. Cheers, Grant
  10. Look good mate, gauges just finish off the interior IMO.. Cheers, Grant
  11. Work permitting, I'll proudly be there. Cheers, Grant
  12. 15/50 here... its what all the South African RO's are using, and if its good enough for Crazy Horse, its good enough for the Spec-G. Haha. Cheers, Grant
  13. Depends on the size of the hole in your bumper I guess, I luckily had a garage full of crap... and so an induction pipe from a 205gti is actually onto my fog cover, then used a piece of cold air piping that I had lying from a K&N induction kit I fitted to a Mondeo 7 years ago and fed it into my airbox. Haha, DIY Motorsport all the way. Cheers, Grant
  14. IMO, no Jap Import Classic Impreza has a bulletproof engine as standard, there are so many variables which can reduce engine life.. best bet is to try and get a fresh import as standard as possible so that you know its not been fiddled with. Dump Valves, De-Cats, Boost Controllers, Induction Kits are a few things that can go some way to screwing bits of your engine up......... so its a wee bit of a minefield. However, scoobs are good cars mate, but then you're in the right place for an opinion like that... Cheers, Grant
  15. You can just remove it mate, no modification needed... I did this and fitted a dedicated Cold Air Feed from a Fog Cover in my front bumper. Cheers, Grant
  16. Its crazy, mine started to do that ever since I took a drive to Port Seton... its like someone flicked a switch and turned it on?! Cheers, Grant
  17. I'm from North East Fife... But have been spotted throughout the Kingdom, drive an STi Spec-D, reg B** GDF. Cheers, Grant
  18. Awesome, forever. Cheers, Grant
  19. Great pics... gotta get myself a decent camera. Cheers, Grant
  20. Think that it means that a WRX has one of two power levels, depending what year you go for.. a Bugeye will be 215bhp and a Blobeye will be 225bhp. Cheers, Grant
  21. Awesome cars... there is a very early NSX that kicks around Perth and I keep thinking what a good looking car it is every time I see it. Chuck the pics up mate. Cheers, Grant
  22. I passed you on the A90 about 9.10 at Longforgan... was a bit early so took me a few moments to link the details together. Blue Hawkeye and the Space Saver!! Gave you a couple flashes of hazards and a wave when I pulled in front of you. Was going undercover in a silver Volvo S80 on my way to work. Cheers, Grant
  23. I think a lot of people see "rattle" "wrx" and think the obvious... but given the kind of use your car gets, the sound you describe, the age and the care taken over your car, I'd be really surprised if its a death rattle. I'd be checking the heatshields first off, could be as simple as that. Cheers, Grant
  24. Welcome along mate, car looks brilliant, remember seeing it for sale recently and thought the wheels look great on it to be honest. Cheers, Grant
  25. Bollox, I'd convinced myself that tints weren't worth the hassle... but this 'changing' film has thrown a large spanner in the works... another mod added to the 'to do' list, just as I was reducing it as well!! Haha, looks brilliant mate. Cheers, Grant
