Can anyone recommend a good independent garage in or near (up to 60 miles say) from Lanarkshire area? I've got some running problems which did appear to have been fixed after sorting an air leak at the dump valve, the car ran great for a couple of days and now the air leak is back again and it sounds worse than before. You can actually hear it clear as day when under load, which obviously isn't good. I'm more than happy with the place I go to just now but this time round I'd like the comfort of a second opinion. It's a 2000 P1 with a 2.5 bottom end rebuild, apexi ECU. I have been advised the ECU may be the problem as it isn't managing the air flow and idle correctly but I can't get my head round why it would run OK for a few days then revert back, surely an ECU can't be thaat tempremental? You can't beat word of mouth and I really need a second opinion from a reputable place

Powder Coating will not be good for the alloy, especially if the are lightweight and "soft" I had a horrendous time with Chameleon a while back, I blamed him, he blamed the alloy and it all went very sour. I wouldn't recommend him but at the same time they have done a very good job on a lot of wheels which i've personally seen in the flesh. (powder) Personally I would go for paint as you have a greater spectrum of colours and shades to get it right.

I've been having a look at the 8pot kit they do, is anyone using them or have any feedback....good and bad? They seem to have pretty good reviews on the selling websites and the price seems good too. ]

I've got the Bridgestone's on another car and in the dry they are great, in the wet is a whole different story Anyone ever used Vredstein's? I seem to see a lot of other marque's ranting and raving about them.

Sadly it's still on the VF28 for now, I had bought the 740's with the intention of going A LOT bigger but then I got twitchy about the box handling the power. I've not used the car much over the last couple of years but now she's going to get a lot more TLC lol and watch this space............

It's had; 2.5l Block 740cc Injectors Autobahn TMIC Walbro Fuel Pump Sard FPR HKS SSQV NGK Plugs K&N Filters RCM oil pump Decat Blitz Nur spec Samco & Autobahn silicone hoses (incl. Turbo inlet) Apexi ECU & Commander. Custom Map Exedy 5 puck paddle clutch Inovit's wrapped in Yokohama (Badly want 18" PWRC-1's ) + some that I've no doubt forgot about. Stills needs a few bits badly like a bigger turbo for starters - soon though

I've had both of them off and they seem OK albeit they are probabaly passed there best. Looks like it's time for change.

Ok, noob here so if this has been covered in a nother post I couldn't see it What brake setup you all running? I need to re-do mine and stuck in two minds between a few different options On a 2000 P1 I have: Standard Calipers (Spaced) Godspeed Discs 335mm Yellowstuff Pads I'm starting to get a lot of problems from uneven wear and the discs are warped, so it's time for a change. The question is Prodrive....or a cheaper alternative, or mid-way. Sadly Ap's are just out of the picture just now

Haha, They're back on now! Thanks for the comments everyone, the wheels looked ok, just really trying to source the originals without buying from the stealers! Few things planned soon too which should be fun, K&N filters, 225 Fuel Pump, Cold Air Induction, De-Cat, HKS SSQV and a remap. All after Xmas though haha
