  1. Sticky 1st gear when I've just got into the car first thing in the morning... check. Has been like it since I bought the thing new, so never worried about it and just accepted that it was a 'feature' of the STi 6-spd. Cheers, Grant
  2. I bought a wheel and tyre package for one of my old Imprezas... and it came with T1R tyres fitted, I expected them to be crap after hearing a friend with a P1 complain about them, compared to P-Zeros too!! But I took the car on a ScottishScoobies run shortly after fitting and they really impressed me. Was a baptism of fire to be honest, probably did a good few hundred miles worth of wear in a day, but was really surprised by them. Given the choice though, Eagle F1 tyres are what I use. Cheers, Grant
  3. Cold start and cold idle on the SpecG can see 7.5 bar... under normal conditions, fully warmed up, it peaks around 6.5 bar tops. Once warm, it will sit around 2-2.5 bar at idle. Cheers, Grant
  4. Try getting a quote at Hectyre mate, he's always been cheapest and is a mytyre.co.uk dealer... it is a small outfit (you might drive past it if you're not careful), usually very busy and a Monday to Friday place only. http://www.hectyre.co.uk/ Cheers, Grant
  5. Wow, I'd be close to passing out from the shock if I came out my front door to that in the morning... really feel for the guy. Cheers, Grant
  6. Nice, interested to hear your thoughts on these once they're fitted and 'tested' out mate. Cheers, Grant
  7. Yaaaaaawn... Dunc, I'd say that its getting a bit boring, but its gone way past being just 'a bit' boring now buddy. Give it a rest. Cheers, Grant
  8. Did I write that... was reading it there and it rings a bell for some reason?! Car looks good with the new wheels Iain, even looks nicer with the personal plate on it too, but those tailpipes are a disgrace... Cheers, Grant
  9. How far is this from Dundee?? I'm off on Wednesday and very nosey... Cheers, Grant
  10. As far as I understand it: Valeting: Sponge bath for the outside, wheels cleaned etc and then on the inside a quick buzz with a hoover, glass and dash wiped down. Time taken 30-40mins. Detailing: Correction of paint defects, rebuilding layers of protection and cleaning things to make them look as good as they possibly can.. using various different methods and tools for the job. Time taken 3-4hrs+. Cheers, Grant
  11. That looks like total cr@p. Dont put it near your car. Save your money... fit a Green Panel Filter for circa £30 to the standard airbox and remove the inner-wing resonator box and stick a dedicated cold air feed into the airbox. Unless you're going for a front mount intercooler, in which case you're kinda forced into using an induction kit, in which case an Apexi Intake is the best one around IMO. Cheers, Grant
  12. Lovely simple looking wagon, Black Classics really are my favorite. Great results. Cheers, Grant p.s: those headlight protectors look great.
  13. Cheers, Grant
  14. Ok, what is a "tweet" noise mate... Cheers, Grant
  15. Yeah I'm a fan of the look Paul... very cool Classic. Cheers, Grant
  16. That what he has said to you mate?? The car is running a 2.5 with a VF22, and at 8psi, which is only about 0.6bar of boost..... I cant see how he's making those figures?! A car like that will cause you problems, if nothing else, it will break things from stress etc.. I have no doubt that its probably a pretty frantic drive and will feel WAY quicker than your RB does at the moment, but with the water pump problem, the wild power claims and the way that he's not prepared to fix what is a relatively small problem considering the size of the engine build its had.. I'd steer clear cause you could be buying someone elses problems here mate. If it was local-ish, it'd be worth a nosey, but Leicester is a fair old trek for something that is more likely to be a non starter... pardon the pun. Cheers, Grant
  17. No no, the sale is still going through and it's likely to be an Aaaaaahbaaaaahdeen Scoobies regular.. I'm glad they're excited about it and I'm glad its going to a couple that are into their Imprezas and will look after it. Cheers, Grant
  18. Ironic that the place where you would NEVER pick up a bargain.. could now be the source of a few cheeky bargains. Think the guy was an absolute tool to deal with, he sold pretty nice cars but at steeeep prices. Cheers, Grant
  19. That looks great, I use the Jeffs Acrylic on the SpecG and its brilliant stuff. Quite a serious looking dump valve, what is it?? Cheers, Grant
  20. Yea I like that. Cheers, Grant
  21. Price-wise, there wouldn't be much in it between an 06-07ish RS4 and a new STi with a few choice extras... but the ownership experience is likely to be very different. Like others have said, you've wanted the Audi for a long time now and those pictures above would certainly convince me, that black RS4 looks amazing!! Cheers, Grant
  22. I might take a wee tour up mid morning to spectate... wont be racing the Impreza as just been given a deposit on it, so it's likely to be tucked up in the garage til its collected now. But keen to see your BuggyRA in action on the strip. Cheers, Grant
  23. That doesnt even look like half the mileage... great to see you taking such good care of it and I really like the no-spoiler look, maybe a wee M3 lip spoiler would finish it off. Quality pics too. Cheers, Grant
  24. Whats the problem with your Defi's JW?? Cheers, Grant
  25. Is it a normal thrash Jim?? Cheers, Grant
