  1. First time I've ever heard something bad about Gavs work to be honest mate. Cheers, Grant
  2. Really dont need to change the standard airbox until well in excess of 400bhp IMO... only reason I can see why you would is if you fitted a front mount intercooler and needed the space for pipework. I run a Green Panel Filter in my car, think it was around 25-30quid from AWD in Perth. Cheers, Grant
  3. Speak to Gav @ Evolution ICE... IIRC he's from Falkirk, he fitted a couple of alarms for me and friends and they've been spot on price/quality wise too. Cheers, Grant
  4. Just put Kumho Ecsta on the rear of my old dears BMW mate, seem pretty good now that they're scrubbed in and at 60quid a corner for wide 19" they are pretty good value IMO. Sister has Federal SS595 on her EP3 Civic Type R and they have been really impressive too, IIRC it was about 50quid a corner for 17" on that. Whatever you change to, be careful til you get used to them because they wont be as good as the F1 that are coming off. Cheers, Grant
  5. Regardless of the members age, we see this sort of thing said all the time mate... however 2, 6, 12 or 18 months down the line, you'll put that statement to the test. Cheers, Grant
  6. I really like these.. the extra RB320 stickers on the fog covers are a little different, not sure if I like or not, but the rest of the car looks brilliant. Cheers, Grant
  7. That is a lot cheaper than I thought it'd be.... hmmm.... I've potentially just added another mod to the list. Cheers, Grant
  8. Ahhh, this is the one that was at Grieves?? Had a nosey round it the other week when I was down looking at another Hawkeye with a mate.... that is one seriously mint wagon you've got. Cheers, Grant
  9. Ah right, not mega expensive... suppose its the hassle of taking dashboard out/putting it back in that puts a lot of people off it. Its a brilliant modification though, specially as Subaru dash plastics aren't the most matt and sun repellant around. Plus, it looks great. Cheers, Grant
  10. I've had a few Subarus, but you've kinda kicked the ball out of the park mate... 11, thats crazy?! That looks like a nice base for some G-T-B modifications though. Cheers, Grant
  11. What sort of money is it to get a dashboard flocked anyway?? Cheers, Grant
  12. GB270 Wagon.... drooooool. Lovely car, welcome to the club. Cheers, Grant
  13. Good chatting to you the other day Rich... was gonna open up the Escort Cossie and boom you up the dualer, but you looked so happy to have your car back I just let you drive off. Car is looking brilliant, cleans up rather nicely. Cheers, Grant

  15. Uh oh.... gonna have to watch out on the next run, I feel that the SpecG could potentially be quite outgunned now Rich!! Nice wee touches, and glad its all coming together for you. Cheers, Grant
  16. Just make sure you've got a garage for it mate... RS' still tend to go walkies around these parts. However, if you live on the base, then I'm sure the tea leaves will be put off by the guys with machine guns at the gates. Cheers, Grant
  17. The Revolution one I fitted first was made of fibreglass and shattered when it hit the deck at 15-20mph after a big dip in the road... I fitted a plastic HT Autos one and its touched tarmac a few times and think I even nudged a kerb in it but it seems to take it ok. Cheers, Grant
  18. That looks nice just now, when its dropped on Coilovers its going to look mega. Cheers, Grant
  19. Be interesting to see the transformation into a stripped track tool. Keep us updated. Cheers, Grant
  20. Correct.... if I could run without one on the stock VF43 then I'd do it in a minute. Cheers, Grant
  21. Good job on the garage and the brake surgery on The Patriot... be interesting to see this around Knockhill with some suspension goodies fitted, be close to the complete package really. Cheers, Grant
  22. Ah, but if he'd got the classic then he wouldn't have got to enjoy the knocking rear shocks........ Cheers, Grant
  23. Really interested in this thread, the standard speaker setup is really poor and its near the top of my list of mods for 2009. Cheers, Grant
  24. If that car is just over the regulation level, then I'm sure most people will be safe... that car wasn't shy 'back in the day' so I can only imagine its knocked it up a level or two since the last stage of PPP was fitted. Cheers, Grant
  25. Would have thought a wee call to Arnold Shark or Peter Vardy would let you know what they could do you on a new Vectra... I'd assume these sorts of deals would run on until the stock was at an acceptable level, specially as the new model is out soon and is meant to be a belter. Think its called Insignia, something like that anyway!? Cheers, Grant
