  1. You could bolt it on and it would run. Although to get the best from it i'd get Andy to remap your Tek2 as well.
  2. He's going to throw it away one way or another. May as well make his car faster while he's doing it. Andy made somewhere in the region of 315-330bhp on his TD04 with various exhaust combinations (i think that was the only variable). I should hope for a nice round 300bhp. More than enough for you standard 4-pots.
  3. If you're not looking to go much further i would personally opt for Andys new Hybrid TD04 and an ECUTek remap. That will take advantage of the decat/filter and shouldn't push the limits of the standard injectors, require raised fuel pressure or force an intercooler change. I'd stick a Walbro (£85) fuel pump in the tank for good measure however. If you do want to go further a FETD05 or one of the larger VF turbos will keep your wallet empty for the next few months.
  4. I'm a bit concerned about 'oilman'. Perhaps it's just me but his cut 'n' paste sales tactics just don't wash. Whenever he's a asked a probing question he ignores it. Been on many other marque forums lately? He's on all of them doing exactly the same trick... It's just my personal feeling but i don't trust the guy. Motul from AS for me by the way and NGKPFR7B's from Rich at Pentland Components, gapped to 0.5mm!!
  5. To me Lindsay those wheels really need to be shot blasted to remove that corrosion properly. I'd send the supplier an email suggesting you will name and shame if they don't offer some sort of compensation. If they don't respond i'd sell them cheap, name and shame and let the new owner have them refurbished.
  6. That's unfortunate. I'll keep an eye on them but i'd be surprised if they did that. Sounds more like a case of screwed wheels or poor workmanship (i.e. oven too hot) rather than an inherant fault to me. I'm told PPS have never had a set of wheels returned to them and they've done more than a few sets.
  7. Pictures now fixed... damn awkward forum software.
  8. I love days like that when you just get sh!tloads done.
  9. The OE wheels on my MY98 where the only thing that was really wrong with my car when i bought it 2.5 years ago. They were soon replaced with Superleggeras and then Turinis so in all that time i've never really bothered with them other than use them as winter wheels. However, last week i took the plunge and gave them to PPS Poweder Coating in Inverurie (Aberdeenshire) to have them refurbished. Just dug out of the garage after four months spent on the car through winter (click for full size pic). 15 mins with the power washer in don't give a feck mode. After PPS had worked their magic. Before After They are absolutely mint. Shot blasted inside and out then powder coated and baked to 180 degrees. The pictures really don't do the before and after pictures justice.
  10. Here Special discount to local SIDC members.
  11. Mike, i'll bear that in mind.
  12. I now have a pair of crystal style front headlamps available. These specific lights came from a MY00 STi Ver 6 Type R - i know this because i swapped my Morettes for them. I will be moving house shortly and because of this wish to raise some funds and clear out as much Scooby stuff as possible. My old MY98 lights are sat taking up room so selling the crystals allows me to refit the MY98 lights and get them out of the way. Pay by PayPal (you cover fees) and they'll be in the post tomorrow morning. £220 + postage
  13. It's easy enough if you know what you're doing Pete. Sounds like you were halfway there tbh. Intercooler Removal Loosen jubilees on turbo outlet, dump valve and intercooler outlet hoses. Slacken and remove retaining bolts each side of intercooler. Remove and put it somewhere safe being careful not to damage the fins. Turbo Heatshield Removal Three 10mm bolts securing it to the bracket. Remove and leave next to your angle grinder. Remove Lambda Unplug from loom and stick a 22mm ring-spanner on it. Split Exhaust Separate the downpipe from the next section in the queue - not sure what it is as Bugs have a slightly different system from Classics. Backbox and centre will probably come off in one then. Unbolt Downpipe From Turbo Five 15mm (IIRC) nuts/bolts. Two up top, one either side of the flange and one only accessible from underneath. Car will need to be jacked up and O/S wheel removed. Get your torch and universal joint socket out! When you're refitting the downpipe you will need to cut a chunk out of the heatshield so it clears the downpipe. All in all it's really not that bad a job. 45mins tops with practice. Remember as you have a Bug Pete you still have a CAT in the up-pipe. Now that's a job that isn't quite so pleasant!
  14. That's better than the first post Ciaran.
  15. Hello, i'm trying to place the lock-block/cladding but can't quite... whereabout in Aberdeenshire are you? I'm in Turriff for my sins. Sounds like a nice car although priced to the very maximum in my opinion. Some good-sized pictures of the whole car may help move it on.
  16. Jools, are you at home atm? I've dropped an email in your box.
  17. Thank you guys. Morettes got swapped for Crystals although i deeply regret it. PMSL @ fridge magnets.
  18. Trade it for a silver one.
  19. Seeing as my website has been looking a little shonky for quite some time now i finally put some effort into doing a new one. I've been trying to gather enough inspiration/motivation for a new one for ages and this is actually my fourth or fifth attempt at it. I decided to go for a less is more approach to keep the design simple but have added a few new sections which i have wanted for a while now. I also got my fingers messy with some new code to add some nice touches. carls scooby site . version 2 Bar a little help (or is that hinderance?) from Mr Dreamweaver MX it's all my own work. Let me know what you think while my enthusiasm is still at a high and i can change things thought to be crap.
  20. Russ, i'll bear this in mind next weekend.
  21. I touch goats back.
  22. Still looking for crystal headlights?
