  1. Yeah Karps i saw that one thanks. Red is my least favourite GTi colour though and i really need one which is ready to run. Looks as though i may have found a stop-gap between Impreza and GTi ownership though... Funny thing is a GTi was supposed to be a stop gap between Impreza and Impreza ownership.
  2. Guys, thanks for the good advice. I am a newbie member on 205GTi Drivers but there seems to be very few cars actually come up for sale on there? I did find one J-plate 1.9 on there for £750 but it had gone by the time the chap read my PM. I agree the guides are good however. Been keeping an eye on eBay and Scot Ads. I am convinced all 205 GTis have been destroyed up here as there is never any available locally. I'm now prepared to buy a plane ticket to get one. The biggest trouble is once you start looking you start to get fussier. Anyway, it looks as though i'm looking in the right places, will keep my eyes peeled!
  3. Is it just me that never sees the sticky threads? Could sort of tell this was coming Doug. Certainly one of the most commited and prolific SIDC RO's, you've set an excellent example for Billy.
  4. Ian, i gather you're a man of your 205's? I've been looking for the past couple of weeks but nothing seems to come in on budget for me. I realise the ones that interest you may have funny tyres and be covered in grass but never-the-less thought i'd try picking your brain? Looking to spend up to £750 but want something relatively late, in good nick, decent Tax/Test and minus a sunroof if possible. Do you know of anything nice in Scotland right now?
  5. Lol Doug. Mine has MOT and brakes. Turinis are still with me for the time being. Not sure what i'm doing with them yet.
  6. Hiya Marc, was a joy to see you the other day. The STi sounded wicked. We could have had a battle of the canons had i not removed mine a few days earlier. Hopefully i'll be able to find a 205 GTi in decent nick for <£750 for the time being. Come Autumn it's Scooby time again. Already have the STi 8 TMIC, 740's, AVC-R, Defis...
  7. I will hire you my sexy Speedlines. Will need a lung as desposit incase you damage them though. Seriously, there's loads of buglys in Aberdeenshire, i'm sure someone will loan you their OE wheels.
  8. Nice one Kev, the downpipe made the single biggest difference to my car above all the other mods. Well perhaps the TD05 made slightly more....
  9. Gentlemen, i'm on the scrounge. Lately i've been busy putting the fridge back to standard but i'm having trouble mating the original PPP backbox with the PPP centre. The steel flange on the backbox has corroded away to almost nothing leaving very little surface for it to seal against the flange on the centre section. Was half hoping someone local may have an STi or old Scoobysport backbox lying around they don't want? Anything other than a twin-peashooter will do!

  11. Ian, the centre is around a year old. It's in as good a condition as any other centre section that has done +/- 5000 miles.
  12. Would prefer all the junk to go to locals so here's the link.
  13. I have a H&S centre. £75 and i'm in Aberdeenshire.
  14. I may have come across as negative but i just can't see the local force being positive about a brood of Scoobs out for a run, within speed limits/driving sensibly or not. I'd like to think we could build a relationship with them and am not exactly anti-police myself having charmed my way out of the back of many police cars. I just can't help but remember back to what happened to the Scottish Elises a few months ago? I know you're not a lunatic Cal and i'm not sitting here picturing a scene from The Fast & The Furious NE Scotland style. I just can't help but feel we're asking for trouble going out in groups on that particular eveing in Aberdeenshire being as the local force are aware of the meet. Grampian Police do respond to reports of 'dangerous' driving... Any other night sits fine with me.
  15. Read it again. I didn't phrase it too well but i meant that's what i've gapped mine to.
  16. Thank god you're back in my life now Scott.
  17. Oh dear Marc, just read the ABZ meet thread. You know you'll have to keep it though. Otherwise i'll build the first (?) 400bhp newage (if Jools hasn't already).
  18. PMSL, as if by magic! I would love to meet you Simon and i'm sure i'd find you very interesting to talk to. However, until then i'm not going to get into a war of words with you.
  19. No reason why i shouldn't be there. Not too sure on the run idea. Judging purely by the recent police presence i think it'd be a better idea to organise a run on a different day (i.e. not the first Tuesday of the month) and nowhere near the OMI.
