About Russs

  1. Boost solenoids do generally make a fairly loud ticking noise, although not usually with ignition only, unless it's an aftermarket solenoid or ecu.
  2. Lol at where this thread had gone!!
  3. Well done. Trophies look to have improved a bit too. Was it a bit better organised this year? Just as well there were no quick Evos there this time eh?!
  4. Perhaps not too wise to say something like that when you don't know the facts. Did I not just say they wanted to do something for the spectators?!
  5. Sorry, we did feel more than a bit awkward about that...... I explained to them that we had just brought the cars all the way up from Time Attack Oulton Park. I think they wanted us to put on a bit of a show
  6. Fantastic result Scott, you deserve it. Awesome driving from Fee too. Best watch the two of you don't go so fast for the rest of the season, or you'll be pushed in with me! I think Marcus saved you from the 5% rule this time
  7. That is out of order. You'd be hard pushed to find a nicer guy than Alex Bruce.
  8. Sounds fine, just give me a buzz/pop in and we'll organise a timescale that suits you all. I'm normally there from Tuesdays to Fridays (0830 to 2230), and some weekends when we have dyno days. Off-topic, sorry, and there will be a post about it soonish, but just so you know, we are now under new ownership, Gav will be here only until December before he leaves for good to take up a permanent job flying for BA out of Edinburgh New company (and directors )have plans.....
  9. Good luck with your remaps guys Just wanted to suggest that I could offer you a good deal on before and after power runs, if anyone fancies it. Also, I'm sure it won't be necessary, but if Andy needs some FOC dyno time on either of these days please let me know. Happy to help out in the interest of good relations
  10. Most of the quotes I used are referring to the Dastek Unichip, which of course is programmable. How many "piggyback" chips/ecu's are not programmable? There are a few types where you can "piggyback" an eprom on top of another one actually on the board inside the ecu, but it seemed pretty clear these were not the type under discussion here. If it's just me thats got that bit wrong, then apologies.
  11. Come on guys, all of this is totally incorrect. Please read up on programmable piggyback ecu's before you announce this kind of stuff to the general public.
  12. You have a point there![] Only reason I suggested it was because I noticed that some of the guys are from Aberdeen area.[]
  13. Sorry Andy [:$] Should only be in your benenfit though eh?! [][] We needn't worry anyway, looks like no takers [*-)]
  14. Sorry to butt in on your thread guys, just wondered if I might offer something that might interest you? On the back of this group buy, would you like a group buy on power runs afterwards? I guess we could even do "before" and "after" if you like. If anyone wants to talk to me about this, please give me a call on 01224 708444 and we can try to work something out
  15. Not my place to comment, but what the hell; You shouldn't have been derogatory and talked down to Phil. I am not questioning whether this was necessary, or you have a point, but you should've posted a purely factual statement.
