  1. If you have unplugged the MAF with the car idling and it continue to idle - THE MAF IS DEAD!! Change it out for one of the "Green Dot" ones - a little more resiliant. Russell
  2. Merlin ship NEXT DAY with all different sizes and bends. That's where I got all my alloy stuff from Trade account with them which certainly helped Russell
  3. current Tyre pressures (F/R)?
  4. There is another Scooby club in Aberdeen (still with lots of SIDC members) which holds REGULAR monthly meets at the Cocket Hat or Tippin Hatter. There's one on the 6th of May if your interested? PM for more info. Russell
  5. NUMPTY! - always one guy who thinks he's rally-driver/invincible...................... but with kids in the car = AR$EH0LE!
  6. Ryan - easier option is to remove the Cam sensor (RHS of the engine, in front and below the Oil Fillup Pipe, just above the Cam Covers, either a GREY or BLACK plug). This means the ECu doesn't know the Cam position so it cuts the Spark an dthe Injector pulse...... meaning the car will turn over but not fire. Remember to plug it back in with the IGNITION OFF CEL will go on for a few seconds when turnign the ignition back on and firing the car up but it will go out. Hope that helps? Russell
  7. I normal line of answering this is "380 is about your limit on 2.5, dependant on car" but Andy does know his onions when it comes to this Thing is that 3" can reduce your torque curve compared to the 2.5 so the car feels different. Its about how the car feels and the "area under the curve" that's important. Safest option..........................3" exhaust with a Decat D/P that has a 2.5" flange down at the C/S. this keeps the torque you love (kick in the back) and then is a cheap change of D/P to go full 3" Russell
  8. Duncan - stop talking about it and just get registered for it. Car is meant to be driven, not sitting in a car park for most of its life
  9. As Gus stated, he supplied me 2 Sports Cat 100Cell D/P for 270 each.................... Build quality was VERY GOOD and I HIGHLY recommend them for these!! Russell
  10. I understand what your saying Al - I'm just sad that our 5 month holiday down here couldn't be more "permanent" List of people wanting stuff done gets bigger every day, but room can always be made for preferred personnel" Russell
  11. Not for a while yet.............................. far too busy enjoying the sunshine in OZ (been here almost 4 months now and LOVIN' IT!) Back in April Russell
  12. Standard Metric thread pitch for an M12 bolt is 1.5 Subaru use "Metric Fine" thread pitch on their M12 which makes it 1.25 "R"
  13. Are you getting a spark on any of the plugs?
  14. What you want is an 8 X 18, ET35, PCD 5 X 100................................... Same as the VW Golf Fortunately the Germans love their deep dish rims so finding this size in a deep dish style WILL BE PRETTY EASY Have fun! Russell
  15. Cal - each engine is different based on build (piston rattle, etc), fuel used, etc and so the threshold varies from car to car so you'd best speak to your original Mapper who will have the details stored for each car they mapped Russell
  16. AFAIK, only the JDM pre-97 car Classics had a EGT sensor (diplayed via the "Cat-on-fire" light on instrument Cluster) so I too am intrigued to know where this EGT sensor is on your MY00 Classic?
  17. MY00 - your car is a Classic isn't it?
  18. Unless it is a MY94 UK car then NO! No port size changes, etc betweent the UK/WRX/STi Inlet Manifold, same thing but painted! Rusell
  19. The ones I supply and fit are Exedy from ASP or through Coordsport and they are supplied to the customer at below retail (not quite as low as Just-clutches but some of thier clutches are seconds). Russell
  20. Andy - read further into some of the posts by Bob and you will see that there is information surfaced that show that Just-Clutches supplied Bob with some of these clutches............................................ so your in effect paying more for the same item because you add in another middle man. You pays your money, you take your choice. pmacFTO - Just think about whether its worth an extra £10-15 to buy it from a more reputable company (not just my opinion) Russell
  21. I think the second (cheaper) one might be a 225mm item rather than the later 96- 230mm unit. Some people have have +ve results with these clutches from these people............................... some haven't Ask around and get a broad spectrum of opinion before purchasing from these guys. Russell
  22. 5 hours START to FINISH. Russell
  23. Twin Plate is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OTT for 400bhp bob. Exedy Stage 1 Organic will cope with 400bhp (its not bhp that kills clutches, its TORQUE) and cost about £400 Including Lightened and Balanced Flywheel - Contact Alyn @ ASP or David @ API for more info. Twin Plate (Exedy/Cusco/HKS/etc) will handle 550/550 easily but costs about £900 Fitting of either is £100 + extras. I am not back from OZ until April, hopefully your not in a hurry you could always go to Grant and Andy @ AWD? Russell
  24. All items fitted by me have their relevent warranties honoured (if NEW and supplied by me - so I know its source) and all labour is covered by a 6 months warranty.......................... if people pay me to fit parts to their car, they have a FULL receipt that has 6 months cover from date of issue so they have some sort of comeback on the work done. Russell
  25. I usually charge £100 + Gearbox Oil. Cost of Clutch/Flywheel/Flywheel Spigot are all extra. Russell
