  1. The ones I supply and fit are Exedy from ASP or through Coordsport and they are supplied to the customer at below retail (not quite as low as Just-clutches but some of thier clutches are seconds). Russell
  2. Andy - read further into some of the posts by Bob and you will see that there is information surfaced that show that Just-Clutches supplied Bob with some of these clutches............................................ so your in effect paying more for the same item because you add in another middle man. You pays your money, you take your choice. pmacFTO - Just think about whether its worth an extra £10-15 to buy it from a more reputable company (not just my opinion) Russell
  3. I think the second (cheaper) one might be a 225mm item rather than the later 96- 230mm unit. Some people have have +ve results with these clutches from these people............................... some haven't Ask around and get a broad spectrum of opinion before purchasing from these guys. Russell
  4. 5 hours START to FINISH. Russell
  5. Twin Plate is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OTT for 400bhp bob. Exedy Stage 1 Organic will cope with 400bhp (its not bhp that kills clutches, its TORQUE) and cost about £400 Including Lightened and Balanced Flywheel - Contact Alyn @ ASP or David @ API for more info. Twin Plate (Exedy/Cusco/HKS/etc) will handle 550/550 easily but costs about £900 Fitting of either is £100 + extras. I am not back from OZ until April, hopefully your not in a hurry you could always go to Grant and Andy @ AWD? Russell
  6. All items fitted by me have their relevent warranties honoured (if NEW and supplied by me - so I know its source) and all labour is covered by a 6 months warranty.......................... if people pay me to fit parts to their car, they have a FULL receipt that has 6 months cover from date of issue so they have some sort of comeback on the work done. Russell
  7. I usually charge £100 + Gearbox Oil. Cost of Clutch/Flywheel/Flywheel Spigot are all extra. Russell
  8. Me m8? I'm drilling based..................................................... Toolpusher for an American Drilling Company and the rig I work on is currently in Indonesia so we thought we'd spend the Winter down here!! These guys are SCREAMING for all aspects of Rig personnel............................ and pay is VERY, VERY GOOD (being a UK expat, I get pid in USD and it is TAX-FREE), not a bad way to live Russell ps - Fidanza ones are usually +/- 5.6kgs.... TOO LIGHT for a road car IMHO.
  9. Yep - that's how I ran mine for a couple of years.................................. before the lure of 400+ took over Russell
  10. Yep - if your going to run the hoses through the inside of the car........................................... Get the hose with the Teflon inner. Russell
  11. Ciaran - I'd be very keen to bu yback th eexhaust as I loved it! You be better fitting the H&S D/P that tapers down to 2.5" at the C/S flange and that way you keep the exhaust and the great noise and get back some of th etorque you have (apparently) lost. I d o say that below 380bhp you're into wishful thinking if you believe that a 3" setup will improve your car. Russell
  12. Ciaran - That's normally how I do it m8. I supply you the flywheel and you return me your old one once its been removed off the car. Do I have any left?....not sure m8 - I think I have 1 skimmed and 1 L&B flywheels at home (I am currently in OZ) - how soon do you need it? If it is after New Year then Duncan can look one out the next time he is over at "the Ranch"? Russell
  13. Lightened and balanced 8kg Skimmed Flywheels Stuart............................................. £120 Delivered (exchange) Supplied 18-20 all around the UK so far............................ not a single -ve word about any of them Russell
  14. Good job once again by the Aberdeen quines and loons Russell
  15. Well - if you need to look at or borrow the Loom Adaptor that Pat made for me then I'm sure we can sort something out. Russell
  16. Same as what I have..................... You go S6 GP or PNP? Did you go for the full Knock Control option too? Mines been sitting in the box in the bedroom with the MY99-00 loom adaptor since November (Pat never had the S6 PnP ready in time to install into Godzuki for Andy to map before I went to Oz for the Winter so I got supplied the S6 GP with full harness adaptor, 3-Bar MAP sensor and full Knock Control option instead) Have to agree though, Spec-wise its brilliant Great job from Charlie and Pat with the ECU..................... and Mark too for supplying it Russell
  17. Suppose it depends upon how much ignition advance Andy pulls out as well as a few other things (DECAT or not) Russell
  18. Been in contact with a few Car haulage firms that gave pretty good prices to haul 7 cars over on a transporter and do other pickups, etc whilst we were on track and then pick up us and take us home. Worked out at about 430-440 per car. Not bad when you consider the cost of fuel there and back is 250-300- for each car. But 1/2 the fun is the Autobahn @ 170+ (ask Ali37 - he'll tell you how much of a buzz it is!) Russell
  19. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YES! end of July/beginning of August.................... I'm off for at least 4 days of Mayhem out there! Russell
  20. I thought that all Andy was doing was removing almost all of the ignition advance from the engine at the the first 2 loads zones in the 2000-3500 rpm zones?causing more unburnt fuel to escape into the exhaust system? No much more than that though? I'm sure Andy can confirm/deny that. Russell
  21. Glad to have helped out m8. How would you like to sort out "settling up" for the purchase of the PFF7's? as they are off to be powdercoated (the Anthracite colour as requested) on Tuesday. After paying for the wheels, it would obviously be best for you to pick up the wheels and pay for the powdercoating yourself (160 for 18's AFAIK) as you can inspect the finish on the wheels and be sure the job is up to your satisfaction. Thanks again Eck, speak to you soon. Russell EDITED TO ADD: I now hear that due to the weather, the leaves are the least of the road users worries................................. shame it 29 degrees Celcius down here!........ and getting hotter
  22. Cal - those headers are DEFINITELY NOT Gruppe-s but they are equal length. The sumps I have spare are a used OE Subaru one or a NEW Group N Baffled one. You need them ASAP or are you waiting until I get back? Russell
  23. Dale - you talking about Bill Gwynne Rally School? Russell
  24. Black STi on the ramp sounds good though, just spoke to someone who used to own the car b4 trading it into Pat - Definitely an STi 4-door. A m8 just went to look at it as he's looking fo ra trackday car and from what little he could see of the car (on ramps still) it had: Front mount MONSTER Rotated Turbo/Downpipe EWG/screamer pipe, AP'S AVCR race seats, Power FC wide arch kit Carbon bonnet............... Great track car or Sprint car for someone there considering the cost. Chuck in a 2.5 or 2.35 and your ready to rumble. Did hear through the grapevine that Auctioneers say the original engine WILL be supplied with the car (Spun a bearing I think). Even less to fork out. Russell
  25. I know Marc and Duncan are going up to look at the White WRX RA Carl is looking at buying stuff as well but I don't know what............ Otherwise it looks a little quiet doesn't it. Wish I was home as I'd be raiding the piggybank right now to see if the are any spares "coffers" I could use. Russell
