  1. Maybe I could just run them until they are completely slick.
  2. I'd be changing them wheels and tyres to the other side. Although I guess I could do rim from rim so it was the opposite shoulders. They would not however get ANY road use (because they're well past legal). Purely track. Drive up with the Eagles on as normal then get them put on for track time fun.
  3. Any issues with running them the wrong way round? The left sided tyres on my track set have seen better days. In fact on one of them the word Bridgestone on the sidewall has had half of it worn away, which is damn good going if I do say so myself. So I was thinking of just swapping the wheels to the wrong sides. Otherwise I'll just put a post in for sale and wanted and see if anyone's getting new tyres soon and get their old ones off them for cheap/free/beer tokens.
  4. I thought I was the only one running a replica spec c wing in Scotland. []
  5. Genuine as in an official Subaru Part? Then no. It looks like a genuine chip from the company called scooby sport though. I think most people on here would recommend getting an apexi power fc and having it mapped to match your car instead of fitting a piggyback chip that messes with the standard ECU. Every engine and mod combination is different, so get a map that suits rather than a one size fits all chip that might be fantastic but might also blow your engine to bits.
  6. Could be interested in a Perrin CAI if they do them.
  7. Decided if you're keeping it or not though Col, that's the big question!
  8. Welcome to the forums. Come along to the Glasgow events as they're a great laugh.
  9. Front mount if you can afford it. Scoobyclinic made decent numbers in the test in Jap Performance. Whatever you do don't buy an "ebay special", get something proven (that doesn't always mean big name branded).
  10. Anyone tried the NOS stuff?
  11. 35,200 miles at 25 months = 1.96mph for me. BUT! If I was to go back to the start of August that number would have been much higher as I'm only doing 60 miles a week for work, instead of 60 miles a day.
  12. Well done Craig. 20% discount is not to be sniffed at, even if it is just £1. Soon mounts up at twice a week. At my last job we had a pressure hose out the back which was great for getting the crap off the car during the week. That was the jobs only redeeming point though.
  13. Yes you do. See here - http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/761628.aspx
  14. [ i m g ] http://www.somesite.com/blah/picture.jpg [ / i m g ] Like that, but remove the spaces. Or click on the button next to the smile face at the top of the text entry box which will popup a nice wee popup window to help you out.
  15. S4NDY - Greers are responsible for the unadultarated awesomeness that is Wilkys car. When it exits the Hairpin at knockhill you can hear the turbo spooling all the way from the pits.
  16. 2004 STI manual seems to be 300mb zipped. That can't be right at all.
  17. Dastek out in Dalgety Bay do a decent price on them. AS Performance are also stockists.
  18. Wouldn't it be great if there was even a link that opened up google maps with their location too? I'll see what's doing. There is a list of discounters on the website, but not filtered by region.
  19. Welcome to the forums and the club.
  20. If the car still has the 3 year manufacturers warranty then any garage should be able to deal with it.
  21. White face as in white background with black lettering? Or white BFs which have the black face and when you turn the ignition they light up with the white lettering? There should be plenty of BFs on ebay, don't see as many of the older style ones though, but I will send you some links when I get home.
  22. It's a problem with some older cars, but the 05WRX should be fine. I know for definite that a location affected by the problem on the earlier cars didn't cause me any problems with mine.
  23. Project threads are a great idea for the forum! Anyone building something that they don't mind being in the public eye then get them on. I love reading them.
  24. Think there's been 4 or 5 happy customers of that fellows now. But I was the first!
  25. Ouch. Could have been A LOT worse though.
