  1. Funnily enough I've got my R-Vit mounted where they have got what I think is the new MMD i-color boost controller - the colour screen on the right. Although mine is in with double sided tape and not the special Blitz holders they have. Available from blitz uk for only £12.99 as I checked earlier.
  2. As discussed last night - http://www.turbomagazine.com/features/0610...wrx_sti_spec_c/ Not sure if it uses the IC with the pipework that runs right underneath the engine. Also there's some V-Mount ones on Rallysport Direct's page - http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/engin...26_132_153.html
  3. There was a Petter Solberg edition, which was what we got as the WR1, without the performance mods. That there looks like an STI with an aftermarket decal kit on it, not a special edition.
  4. You've not pointed it at your pictures, just some standard ones on photobucket. Look here - http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/761628.aspx
  5. Neil, that picture was stolen from this blog - http://inish.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/ Go back a few months and there's bound to be some more of the Imprezas. Try here too - http://www.gtchannel.com/SuperGT/index.php And also JGTC on google images - http://images.google.co.uk/images?ie=UTF-8...sa=N&tab=wi
  6. http://www.st3ph3n.com/images/driftwrx.jpg - that has the spoiler on it. Other than that - google images is your friend. Just go for cusco impreza.
  7. I love that road. Perfect testing ground.
  8. No more drink for Mr Mac. See you all at EVERY event.
  9. It's a progression of that car I believe marky. The car is officially the Suzuki Escudo (aka Grand Vitara outside Japan). The car pictured was the one used on the 2006 Pikes Peak and 2006 Race to the sky. From memory in 2006 Pikes Peak was shortened due to weather problems so the car doesn't hold the outright record but at the midway split it was WELL up on the previous record. It holds the race to the sky records. The car is built by Suzuki sport and is driven by a fellow called Nobuhiro Tajima who also happens to be head of Suzuki sport. His nickname is "Monster". He's just a young thing at 56 or so! If any of you have played GT4 then you can unlock that car as the Pikes Peak Escudo.
  10. My favourite car by a distance Dave. Get that APR rear diffuser on and I'll have your children.
  11. Is this the one that's on the Blantyre farm road between Uddingston and Blantyre?
  12. Whilst I enjoy the quattro a lot, especially with Walter behind the wheel, and there's a special place in my heart for the Lancia Delta S4 my favourite is this: http://www.suzukisport.com/motorsport/hill...gallery/002.jpg 2.7 litre v6 with twin turbos, 995bhp etc. etc. For me it's the real progression of Group B technology and it's fantastic.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M11GOVfA50 Derek Bell doing a 6 minute lap round the ring in a porsche 956. Respect to that man indeed.
  14. I don't think green ones are part ceramic. I find the reds work at their best when you get them up to a nice temp.
  15. Well done Peco, it was a quote as used in ghost dog. I have read the entire hagakure book though and it was very interesting. Don't think anyone got Wilky's film referene though. 8 year olds dude.
  16. Got it in one boab. There's plenty of the old (ir)regulars not posting because they're fed up with the snippy shite. I'll leave you all with one of my favourite quotes from Yamamoto Tsunetomo's Hagakure: It is bad when one thing becomes two. One should not look for anything else in the Way of the Samurai. It is the same for anything that is called a Way. If one understands things in this manner, he should be able to hear about all ways and be more and more in accord with his own. Welcome to the way of the SIDC.
  17. Can't say I've had more dust problems with the Red Stuffs over the standard pads. MAke sure you bed them in as described because if you don't you'll just kill them and end up going through a set in no time.
  18. Control + home is a good way to get to the top of the page for now.
  19. Any mods? Been serviced at the correct intervals? 20K is about the right time for a service. They do use a bit of oil, especially when tracked etc.
  20. If it's a new age then not really. The rear shocks on the STI tend to rattle after a while but Subaru will replace under warranty.
  21. Well I have an 05 WRX and I have the up and down pipe cats still in place, a 3rd cat delete (got from Gus the bus on here, his mate makes them), a de-resonated centre section and a h+s backbox. With those mods it made 250bhp and 232lb/ft of torque. That was without getting any remap. It was run at crail against some 05 WRXs with PPP and it faired VERY well. Since it was on the rollers it has had the high flow IC hose fitted but nothing else and it does feel just that wee bit quicker with that too. All of these things are bolt on and off as you say. The car could be put back to standard exhuast wise in 30 minutes I imagine. If you're going to go with the high flow DP then replace the up pipe with an STI one too. Will cost you £50-70 for one plus fitting. Numbers wise - you'll see over PPP. Removing the resonated centre will make it even better, but it does increase the noise.
  22. For reference the new age exhaust goes up - turbo - down - cat pipe - centre section - backbox. Standard new age WRX has 3 cats - up, down and cat pipe. STI has 2 - down and cat pipe. PPP on the WRX is a high flow IC hose, removal of the 3rd cat and the replacement backbox. With the replacement ECU too obviously. The other 2 cats remain the same. PPP on an STI includes a high flow DP cat, 3rd cat delete, backbox, a fuel pump and the ECU too. If your car is an 05WRX with PPP then it will have 2 cats - up and down, the 3rd cat is deleted with the PPP part (not sure if it is resonated or not), you then have a standard resonated centre section and finally the PPP backbox.
  23. Good numbers. I take it that's WHP? I really like how you guys just measure everything at the wheel, no pissing about with drive train losses. Fingal's cave is on staffa which is a fair distance away from Glasgow. As far as Glasgow itself is concerned then the opera house they speak of must be the "Armadillo" at the SECC. Glasgow is a cool city, and Edinburgh is worth a visit as it probably has more tourist things to cover. It depends on how much free time you have.
  24. Read subiesport a few times, it's very good. I think the Glasgow Regional Organiser is a subscriber actually.
  25. Welcome to the forums Unabomber. We need no excuse to visit the roads round the back of Faslane for a bit of fast road action. It has been mentioned that the Glasgow region meet on the first Thursday of the month, but I'm sure we could have another one at a different date if it doesn't suit you. Come that time of year there might be track or drag action too, we'll know when the various locations post their timetables. Keep in touch on the forums and let us know when you get your exact dates and we'll make sure you get to see some of the best driving roads in the world.
