  1. Windows down, right foot down. Can't beat it.
  2. http://media.putfile.com/SIDC-Knockhill Car at the start is mine (if I've linked the right video) - that's with a Hayward and Scott Jap Slash box, miltek unresonated centre and a 3rd cat delete.
  3. If something's worth doing then it's worth doing right Kenny. Although hopefully we'll no be here this time next year without the car running []
  4. The term "never been tracked or raced" means - "has been tracked and raced quite nicely thanks". []
  5. dtabbit, there's a post in the members only section of the forum with details of the discount at Keith Michaels. I think most people that have phoned Gary at KM have been quoted extremely happy. I was with Elephant previously with no mods declared and he beat their 10 month renewal quote for his yearly quote with ALL my mods declared.
  6. Would love to see a Leggy STi myself. That 3.0R fitted with some evil twins. Make sure it looked like a real Q ship though with a well hidden FMIC.
  7. I thought the scoob only needed 4 litres anyway.
  8. Well the more free flowing exhuast does allow the turbo to spool harder and quicker but with the ECU running the factory map then it is still limiting to ~1bar (in a MY05 WRX, other cars will differ) of boost so at peak it's still pushing the same amount of air to be mixed with the same amount of petrol. I suppose we need someone with some real technical skills, but if I use what I've stolen from the forums and tech articles in mags and wikipedia then I think with the turbo spooling quicker you'll hit target boost quicker so I guess you've got the capability to use more air + petrol earlier in the revs than before so yes you probably would use more petrol. Either way it's your right foot that will really dictate your petrol usage.
  9. Not noticed a difference John. All the exhuast is doing is freeing up the flow of gasses outwards and as far as I know I'm still making the same boost so using my rudimentary understanding of how these cars work then I assume I'm still sucking down the same amount of air, which is being mixed with the same amount of petrol which is being exploded with the same timings, but the by products are being pushed out a bit easier.
  10. Yup. Go faster bits!
  11. Will certainly require to be declared to the insurance co that you've not got one. If I was buying a new one I think I'd get the Nardi Taniguchi - http://www.nardi-usa.com/
  12. I had water ingress in the boot from the brake light cable hole after I changed to the GT Wing. I solved it with a bit of double sided foam tape on both sides of the boot to cover that hole. I was also getting very small amounts through the bolt holes themselves due to the washer setup, so what I did was get some rubber plumbing washers and used them too. That solved all the water problems in the boot. For your seats - ebay is a good hunting ground, but the specialist Subaru breakers will be worth a look. I can't for the life of me rember the names though. Give the search a bash and see if it turns anything up.
  13. Good of Mctwist to do some modelling. I might treat myself to some real Oakleys later in the year.
  14. I spotted a lovley R34 GT-R with some choice mods, in Black, with the LM GT wheels for less than £30K. I know what I'd take.
  15. I think I've stood on a few of them. They were utterly crap, I think one of them lost a lens before we'd even got them home.
  16. Got 2 pair of Nike ones. First pair I got in America 5 and a half years ago and they're fantastic. Excellent in all conditions as they have great lenses in them. I was in Costco last summer and they had some Nike ones for £20. Not as good as the first pair, but for that money they're perfect for leaving in the car. Got a few pairs of Oakleys too, but I bought them off a fellow in New York for $15 for 5 pairs, so as you can imagine they're not the best []
  17. Welcome to the forums.
  18. http://www.shellpluspoints.com/welcome/index.asp - log in there. Click on Your Account then go to "Online Bonus Day"
  19. If you log in to the Shell website to check your points you'll find a link where you can set which day you regularly get your petrol. If you do fillup on that day then you earn double points. Worth doing if you do have a day you go more often than others.
  20. My box has the 1421-SF006 number on it. That will fit both the WRX and STI, and as far as I;m aware is for any bug or blob, not sure about the hawkeye though.
  21. I think the rally cars have always run with the pipes at that side (edit: new ages that is), and the official SWRT cars no matter where they are rallying are always running british plates because Prodrive who run them are based down in Banbury and the cars are reigstered there.
  22. I'll hold my hands up and say I've not finished the Santa Cruise articles as yet, but should have it done VERY soon and it will be submitted in time for the next issue, where hopefully it will be published. I don't think it would have made the current issue to be honest. The deadline for getting it to the publishers before it is sent out is 6 weeks I believe, so that's pre-santa cruise. In terms of the other ones I'd just go back on what Ally said. The 2005 highland run was to be published so I had expected to see that, but have the other ones definitely been submitted etc. Best to get the facts before jumping on the volunteers.
  23. Go on then Wuz, hit me with the bad news about a price. I'm not the only one that was interested in the harness bars for track use either.
  24. Nice one Marty.
  25. I'd love one of those Peter, but can't find anyone in the UK that will supply
