  1. Is the white spec c yours Kenny? I posted that pic above as one of my favourites as you've got the rear inside wheel off the ground
  2. Although I wasn't there I did get a wee present from Imy (and Grant): There's a signed t-shirt as well, and a couple of stickers.
  3. And now some pictures. Not a lot as we weren't there for too long and was catching up with people, but here's the full set - http://www.flickr.com/photos/st3ph3n/sets/72157624480341008/ A couple of faves:
  4. Everyone's favourite nutter - Pictures to follow tonight!
  5. Finally someone has fitted a proper spoiler. Kudos John.
  6. Absolutely baz. I've given my good lady my 3G and she'll just get a sim only contract for it. The only thing you'll need is to get them to give you a micro-sim, as the new 4 uses the smaller ones now. Would certainly check with your operator about that first.
  7. Looks great Imy. I think we're looking at doing it next year if it doesn't clash with a Scottish speed event. Glad you found time for the wee special mission
  8. That was my point John - there's a LOT of people in this world with Job titles that go far beyond what they actually do. Does a train really require a "customer services manager"? At least on there they refer to the driver as "the driver" and not the "operational control vectoring supervisor" or something similar. Should sign that off too as "Stephen Hynds, Analyst Developer" (I have no idea what it means either).
  9. Yep - £499 from apple direct for an unlocked 4 in 16gb flavour. An 8gb 3Gs is cheaper, 32gb 4 is more expensive. Details here - http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/shop...?mco=OTY2ODA2OQ
  10. To be fair John they're not the first and not the last. I've dealt with a lot of "Customer service assistant"s who've been about as much assistance as a comb to a bald man.
  11. You must have been lucky then Cal. Any griffin things I've had have broken FAR too easily. Cases that cracked without being dropped, a headphone cable thing that frayed and stopped working, even though the cable protection was supposed to be rugged. I'm waiting on my new marware glide coming for the 4, but in the meantime I'm using my old one, and a sort of harder plastic/silicon jacket thing for the 4 that was cheap off ebay. And always with the screen protector. How's everyone finding the battery life then? I had to delete and re-add my exchange settings and after doing that it seems to have improved mine. 78% after 1 hour 35 of usage since I took it off charge at 5 past 6 this morning.
  12. Current one is a 3G/3GS model - Marware CEO something or other I picked up from CPW. It had a belt clip on it but I ended up ripping it off. For the 4 - I've ordered a Marware glide, which is a proper slip case with no belt clip this time. Got it on ebay but it's not due into the country for a couple of weeks.
  13. Black Blobeye with a GT Wing like I used to have sitting on the main street not far from the Bothwell Bridge (the bridge itself, not the hotel!). Debadged too. Private plate. Pretty sure it wasn't my old one! Then 2 stickered up classics in Motherwell. A red one and a blue one. Both on Hamilton road.
  14. Cal - Griffin will be great for a month, then will break. I'm a slip case kind of guy. Lets you use the phone the way it was intended, and when not you can case it up.
  15. They're needing to look at the safety car rule and see how it can be improved to get round any of these issues. In Nascar and Indycar you can't pit under the safety car until they open the pits. In F1 you obviously have issues as each team only has 1 pit crew, whereas in the states each car has its own. But yes, Ferrari are properly moaning about it. It doesn't really shine them in a good light.
  16. If you're on a 3GS then yes it's not a huge improvement spec wise. Obviously form factor has changed a bit too though. For me coming from 3G - it's a big step.
  17. Wow. This thing is incredible. So fast compared to the 3G I've came from. The screen is quite something else too.
  18. Isn't she lovely? Unfortunately as I'm a) at work and waiting for the number to port over, I've not had much of a chance to turn it on and have a good play with it. But I did turn it on to get the iTunes connect screen and it's super smooth. Makes the old display look quite poor!
  19. Get understanding exposure by Bryan Peterson from Amazon. Best accessory you'll ever buy for a camera.
  20. Trans Am is just a cracking slice of Americana. Paint job looks great, and like the sticker. Needs a BAN 1 plate though There's beer in Texarkana after all. Except there isn't as it's a dry county and is therefore a dreadful piece of continuity in the film, but don't let it spoil it.
  21. You'll get a refurb'd 500D on the eBay for that kind of money. A friend just bought one for his wife, and I had a good look over it and it's tippity top. My 350d I got 2 years ago was also a certified refurb job, and 17000 shutter presses later it's still going great guns.
  22. Guy at work just bought a new Qashqai - there's a bit wait for factory orders. Impressively specced though. 1.5dci wont return 60+mpg though I'd say. It's the same engine that's returning about 55mpg in my Clio, and I'm not driving it hard. I expect to get another few mpg after its run in though, but not 10 more. In a bigger car i wouldn't have thought it would manage more! Good engine though.
  23. The way I see it if you're at the speed limit then 13 minutes is more than fine
  24. Strathaven to Muirkirk. Not in the greatest condition in a few places though.
  25. A wee effort from earlier on today. Proper ones to come soon. That was done in Lightroom 3 too. It's awesome.
