  1. Online - http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/default....amp;lid=1141768 Basically it's refurb or scratch and dent machines they sell. Sometimes it's from cancelled orders or machines that have been DOA and sent back for repair. I've seen maybe 5 machines from the outlet now and they've all been absolutely perfect. Best thing to do is price it on the outlet then try and configure that combo on the main shop and see if there is a good saving. Sometimes there's not, but I know when I got mine it was £330 delivered and configured new on the main site was £420.
  2. I should have read this before posting in the spotted forum. It answers the "how did the test go" question.
  3. You must surely have more than 15gb of hard drive space? I got a cracking deal from the Dell outlet last year, and have used it a few times since then for a netbook for myself and for a few machines for other people. Basic rules - no celerons, 3gb ram, and get Windows 7. And yes it probably is a waste of money upgrading the current one.
  4. Between Larkhall and Hamilton. I was going the other way. Good test at Kames?
  5. Vettel's lap was awesome. Can't see him losing tomorrow barring any failures.
  6. That maturity and the cost of some of the higher end phones is what's driving the prices up into what is a more realistic pricing structure. The arms race for new customers is over and what's driving things forward now is value for money and added extras. The unfortunate thing with the iPhone - particularly when a new model comes out - is that they don't need to be aggressively competitive to get customers as people are sort of willing to pay for it no matter what. The gamble they take is that you're just willing to take what they've got. By all means throw on the "good customer, take my business elsewhere" approach and there's a fair chance they'll play ball to some extent, but not nearly as much as they will on the "lesser" phones. StewartyBoy - If you really want a new one now then it's the right time to do it. 3 months until the new one is likely to be out so they will be more willing to deal just now. Like I said though - don't expect quite as sweet a deal as they do on other hardware. Remember - it's a £400+ handset.
  7. You are getting the same service as everyone though. The iPhone is only free on the most expensive contracts or the mid range 24 month ones. If I was you I'd get it repaired, swap to one of the cheap 30 day notice contracts then wait until June for the new one. It's a myth that you'll get a free phone by default these days. Especially the high value handsets that sell themselves.
  8. What's the plan for the year then John?
  9. Tesco Uddingston are pretty good with having 99 for anyone out my way. I think it'll get fairly well recycled with the amount of flash cars in Bothwell. Plenty of school run mums in range rover sports working their way through half a ton of it a week given the speed they seem to insist on going at - standstill or 70mph in a 30.
  10. Then it wasn't you! And it wasn't the Tokyo hatch either, although I did spot that too, but I was incognito in a rather tasty 2001 1.4 Civic hatchback.
  11. I think I spotted him on Thursday on the M74 but I'm never sure as there's a few white hatches working the area.
  12. Well it turned out to be none of the previous suggestions - it was a track rod end being awkward! Sorted now and car appears to be fine.
  13. I forget the plate. It was a jap import as it had the lower fog light. Had a nurburgring sticker and I think a mcrae one too.
  14. That track is dreadful Davie. Hopefully some of the other venues present better racing. My prediction was well wrong too!
  15. Okay then - Massa, Vettel, Schuey. Lewis will get the jump on Fernando and bugger up his entire race, letting Vettel and Massa escape. Vettel will lead but will be leapfroged when the Ferrari runs longer. Meanwhile lord Vader in the silver arrow will be listening to old Brawn's magic strategy to great effect and will at some point jump Lewis and Alonso. Job done.
  16. Really not going to predict pace tomorrow on full tank loads etc. Schuey has the guile and the experience to out fox just about anyone - so can see him nicking a podium from back there. I wonder if the McLaren might not be off the pace on the heavier loads too.
  17. Will try this tomorrow if I get a chance baz. Any oil in particular? Olay? Crisp'n'dry? Snake?
  18. Haven't had a chance to sort this yet. Here's another symptom though - the steering gets heavy at different parts of the turning circle. Sometimes right from centre its heavy, other times it's okay there but heavier further round. I'm not going to have a chance to get it to a proper garage until next week, but does that sound like the pump's not right?
  19. I was always under the impresson that on the STI the space saver didn't fit the front. Maybe when they went to the bigger PCD that was solved?
  20. About 10pm or so coming off the northbound 74 onto the Raith. You were heading towards the bellshill bypass and I was going left towards Bothwell. Anyone here?
  21. About 12ish. Had a "Viper" sticker on the side window. I was driving the Silver C class that was in front of you up the slip road etc.
