  1. I actually just clicked on this particular thread which caused it to happen. First time since we've moved to Invision that it's happened to me mind you.
  2. We haven't changed anything. Interestingly I just had it change myself though......... Very weird.
  3. I got a few things from the dealers when I did my stero install. The wee dash pocket springs to mind.
  4. Just get brackets from the dealers. Make sure you've got the harness adaptor too.
  5. Haven't quite got around to sorting this yet. Was looking at the 9200 as I said but there's some issues with the wiring that someone is looking at for me. Also looked at a headunit replacement, but the same wiring issues are there for that. Someone is working on a harness adaptor that would let the car's built in sat nav work fine with a non-standard headunit so I might wait until that's ready before doing anything. Plus who knows what Monday brings with Apple? Other idea was to get an Alpine Ex-10, which is like a non-permanent 9200 that I can pickup for £50. PRoblems being it doesn't charge the iPhone unless you buy an adaptor. Still, it's cheap as chips.
  6. You can get a good DSLR for less than a grand. 500d + a second hand zoom lens will come in under £500 these days from ebay. Anyway, not about the gear, it's about how you use it!
  7. Skip Equi's and go to Uddingston to Tortolanos - if you're coming from the Bothwell side it's on the left just before the lights at the cross. Their ice cream is fantastic. Much better than Equi's. Personal fave is the straciatella - vanilla with chocolate shavings through it. Booooootiful.
  8. What Neil said. One of the guys in the office went 2 years ago and a lot of his budget for the holiday went on buying Camera gear in the years running up to it! Rough rule of thumb - take more memory than you think you'll need!
  9. I believe with Highway it might be Good news it turned up so quickly though
  10. They've cleaned it all up today. "Racing incident" they're saying now.
  11. Apparently the word "quote" and "valid for 60 days" actually means "rough guess" and "not valid beyond this phone call" with insurance companies too. That's unless you shout at them that you'll go elsewhere. I'll not bore you all with how little I'm paying now I'm scoob-less
  12. Aye BBQ last night and a spot of motor racing today. Summer. Cannae whack it.
  13. They're quite tough in places. Finished them all at 1 star at least, but only got 26 out of 45 stars so there's still some flying to be done! Not found the golden egg yet either. Very slack. Anyone get the RAC app? Best traffic one I've saw so far, and free too.
  14. Yep, Eagle F1s. Awesome tyres. That said - managed to get Toyo T1-R from National Tyre last year for a very good price and they were certainly not too far off the Goodyears.
  15. Anyone using a good one? Was looking at the Parrot MKi9200 as it has nice iPod abilities as well as the hands free gubbins, but not entirely convinced. Could probably just go for a cheaper one and then get a lineout adaptor for the iPhone to use in the AUX port.
  16. Griffin - expensive, but so poorly made it's not true. That goes for a case and also the microphone headphone extension cable thing they do which lasted all of a month.
  17. o2 sell a pack of 3 screen protectors for £10 for the iPhone which I found to be very good. I think they'd maybe fit the touch alright. If not - HMV sell exspect ones which I've used before without a problem. One of them took a hit for the team when I skited my phone across the floor in the office on its face. Case wise - depends on the kind she'd like. I personally use a Marware CEO slip case that I've ghetto modded by taking the crap belt clip off of it. I prefer the phone itself to remain uncased for ergonomics. I did try a silicon case (a pain for getting it out of pockets with taking the rest of the pocket with you) and a griffin hard case (bulk + broke quickly) but liked neither in the end. I do have a Gelaskin protecting the back from scratching mind you, but it adds nothing in the way of bulk!
  18. I'm going to second Dale's request there. Well worth doing
  19. I believe that they have/are appealing. The rule exists yes, it's not a good rule but it does exist. HOWEVER - the lights went green, the race was back on. 20 second penalty was taking the piss. Maybe they could have just said "we're putting you back a place, turned out we shouldn't have put the green lights on as there's this rule".
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXDNxkUiUws - this guy is good, does VTEC noise, then a turbo motor leaving the drag lights with the sound disappearing into the distance.
  21. I can't help with the daddy wagon question as I've gone for something small but well specced.
  22. I've not been in a petrol station for nearly 2 weeks. It's worrying. And the car I put a deposit on last night should nearly get me through 3-4 weeks average motoring without a fillup!
  23. Hybrid = more power. What's the problem?
