  1. I think the picture of all the old Ferraris is probably James Glickenhaus' collection. Loving the P series and the 250 in that picture in particular. However, the pristine black camaro ss gives me a special feeling inside, as does the trans am on the lift beside it.
  2. If it's not the electrics then I'd go with kev's recommendation of turning the ignition to on and waiting a wee second or too for the fuel pump to get up prime. I always do that with mine now and even on a really cold morning I get a good quick start.
  3. What you towing anyway Gus?
  4. Varis kit, bride seats (wouldn't get my fat ass in them!). Nice indeed. Loving that S15 too. Looks like either bayside blue or slighty darker. Wonder if the bayside blue hides a wee RB26DETT under the bonnet.
  5. http://www.7tune.com/?p=125 Enjoy. Some of those GT-Rs looks mighty fine.
  6. Jim, you rob the council mate? Good looking parts, should turn out to be one hell of a car.
  7. I uploaded that a while ago. Youtube's conversion of the N95s video clips isn't brilliant unfortunately.
  8. Good looking cars and good looking scenery. Two of my friends have either got married at or had their wedding receptions down at new lanark, and going for a walk round the various places there is also great.
  9. I'm not sure if there's a picture of me and the shoes floating about, but if not I'll slip them on tonight. Worth a second a lap at Knockhill I tell you.
  10. My salary is outwith that agreement, but it's fairly in keeping with other public sector organisations. However, when 75% of the staff are barely breaking out of a coma never mind breaking into a sweat it's hardly surprising that the rest of us have to suffer! But I'm thankful for an excellent project just now that will see me upgrading to Ikea or maybe even the aforementioned John Lewis.
  11. I'm sure there's some truth in that, but she says I'm allowed a track car, so that's fine! John Lewis too? On a public sector salary? Pound shop more like.
  12. Cheers everyone. There's no track car, nor house, yet .... but all being well the next 6 months of hard work - real hard work, not public sector hard work which is like a half day in real terms - will get me my ticket to fortune! Who knows too - with all these classic track cars, I might just retire mine from active service, put it on the atkins diet and wash it down with a case of family size red bulls. I'll be keeping my Admin powers apparently, but you guys never really need moderating anyway!
  13. Everyone, after a year and a half or so as the web editor guy for the SIDC I've decided to step down and let someone else with some more time take over. If I want to get that house with the big garage where I can store and build a trackcar then I need to devote some time to my career over the coming months. It's been an honour and a privillege to have been in the position, especially during the process of transitioning from the old site to the new site. Working with Andy and Phil during that was great. I'll still be at the meets and hopefully get some more trackdays this year too once I get my car serviced. I believe the only thing that's left to say is the traditional - "thanks for the fish"
  14. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/05/evo-x-v...kuba-lap-times/ Wee bit more info there about a different test. Seems that they've done an audi and - as clarkson says - put the engine in front of the headlights. Be interesting to see times when the variants arrive - spec c, mr whatever etc. etc.
  15. I got a bullet camera from Dogcam Sport - http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/ - The quality is good, but my recording solutions let me down initially. If you want something good and simple then just get a good camcorder, if you want the flexibility of mounting the lens elsewhere then get a good bullet cam, and then get either a camcorder with an AV input (hard to find) or get an MP4 recorder. They're much easier to comeby now than they used to be. I'm using a cheapo ebay special from taiwan and it does the job. Except my camera is currently not working and I've not got around to getting the soldering iron out yet.
  16. Is that why you're called Noel then? Happy birthday mate.
  17. Well done guys. 11 out of 10 for effort and a million out of 10 for the end result!
  18. It's a pain, but worth it. I'd like to add the following step in: When attaching the middle section in boot attempt to hillariously trap friend who is helping out in the boot. Bang him on head with boot instead - laugh at him whilst he's actually in pain. Result!
  19. Fathers for justice style protest? Invade somewhere dressed as super heroes?
  20. The postie left a new mp3 player sticking half in and out my letterbox last week. Sat there for probably 8 hours for all the world to see. A different area and it would have been away. Oh well.
  21. Well done guys!
  22. Look love, for the 10th time, I'm not needing double glazing.
  23. Well done Lothianites, looks like another great performance.
  24. Smashin day out as usual. I could add all sorts of superlatives and what not but it was just one of those days that makes you happy and proud to be in the club. Well done to everyone who organised, who donated who even just thought good things about it all. For the record too - that set of ribs in the harvester was utterly outstanding. Capped off the day nicely so it did. I'm still full.
  25. Welcome. I'm just down in Bothwell myself. Black 54 plated WRX with a carbon rear wing. Makes a bit of a noise too
