  1. Porch Monkey is in its loosest form a racial slur. There was a scene about it in the awful Clerks 2.
  2. Depends which coilovers you get as to the ride quality. Adjustables could be good for road and track. Teins - lower than a snakes belly, and tightened up the handling quite well. Ride quality certainly diminished though.
  3. Paul, we'll always have the shell station in Kincardine It's NOT funny where you usually meet fellow SIDC members.
  4. The Plan was always a Rascal with a mid mounted built yank block. LS7 or similar. Blown obviously - with the side panels or roof modified for air collection duties. Then hook up the rear wheels to some sort of very modified heavy duty rear axle and a 4 speed box (no need for more with the torque eh?) and whack some wheels with drag radials on the back. But the idea of a EJ25 and the scooby rumble sounds good. OH! I forgot the purpose, and one extra component that might be needed. Wheelies! How funny would it be sitting on the motorway doing a wheel stand in a bedford rascal! Might need a wheelie bar though. One day ..............
  5. What's still sad Andy is that you've finished a quarter mile going backwards quicker than most of us will ever manage going forwards. Do you think we could install a EJ25 into a Bedford rascal?
  6. Nobles are good fun. Standing start and he wasn't happy. At crail obviously Anyone got any good tales from the other side of the coin though? There's an EK9 Civic round the Hamilton area that is packing more punch than first appears. A solid stance and some nice wheels are the only giveaway that it's tweaked as there's a standard backbox on it. Not saying it's connected to the exhuast mind you!
  7. I used to have a pair of slippers like that!
  8. That NSX gives me the boioioiooioioioing. Also, the 350z - is that oil coolers mounted at the rear?
  9. I quite like the new STI. I tell you what though - the SX4 is looking quite tidy in WRC guise. But they'll never sell it with anyting remotely resembling an engine in it.
  10. I was tempted to send Nicola along in her Matiz for a tank full that I could have then syphoned off! Oh well, glad my update was helpful to some.
  11. John if you got a set off a pre 05 STI they'd fit. Remember they were PCD 100 as well
  12. John - the godspeed kit I was talking of was the one that retains the original WRX calipers. Try Rallysportdirect in America for the wilwoods. Also camskill in the UK.
  13. I just noticed I'd put the 25th originally, but it's the 24th.
  14. John - just learn to go round corners faster Are you thinking of going for bigger brakes altogether with new calipers and discs etc. Do you want to just go for better discs? Have you thought about the Godspeed kit that retains the 4 pots but allows fitting bigger discs. I've looked into brakes as a next upgrade for my car and the Wilwood 6 pots always take my fancy as bang for your buck. My mate Paul has (obviously much smaller) Wilwoods on his Westfield and the calipers really do look like some mighty fine bits of kit.
  15. Well done to all involved, and congratulations.
  16. Andy, the bad man called me "chunk" too. It made me cry.
  17. I'm not there either, but my good lady is. I think I might have passed you before actually. Mine is the black blobeye WRX with the low level Cardon GT wing on it and the Subaru stickers in the rear window. Sounds not unlike the end of the world if it's not running in discrete mode too
  18. Well I get the train to Edinburgh every day, so not back in Lanarkshire for business hours usually. Oh well. You in Larkhall? I see a couple of Scoobies driving about when I'm there.
  19. It must have been what 6 months since you started a new project Dave?
  20. I have a jerviswood one she sent me I could put up, but obviously the voting isn't finished yet - when it is and a form is made I will host on the site.
  21. I've yet to "have the pleasure" - but saw a video of the ALS and it brings a smile to the face. Saw a pic of the engine too and it's a work of art.
  22. The donation sheet is a wee bit dependant on the outcome of the vote.
  23. Only from 9-5 though which is useless for those of us with jobs to go to!
  24. George, keep the thread going man. Everyone loves a project thread. Especially with a nutter like you running it!
  25. Chris - drb5 speaketh the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. He's describing legalised insanity, and I like it.
