  2. id be tempted to stick with the p1 i think, its the scoob i regret not buying before i went newage lol also bit nervous about the fact that the guys done all that to a wrx not an sti
  3. work allowing, which it is just now il put mine on the stand on friday-saturdays a possible. il be at knockers on sunday so il try and catch up with you cruz. did the skye weekend convince Mags then Bobby? look forward to seeing it on track soon!
  4. had my bc's on for about 8 months now, first set awd fitted really cant fault them, especially after john at progrip worked his magic and ive summoned the courage to play with the damping settings. settled on 15 front and 16 rear (counted back from soft) and they worked great on the skye trip both wet and dry-even one notch on damping makes a big difference. the fronts were at 17 and on bumpy b roads the nose would hunt about over bumps and really thump into potholes but at 15 much better. still cant beleive how low yours is at the rear Bobby!!
  5. Imy,i dont think Johns got internet til thursday but hes got quite a bit of video-though the sound may need editing to remove offensive content lol
  6. the new shocks will make a big difference mate, and make sure the geometrys done properly-ive had some well dodgy setups from dealers before... ive a set of prodrive springs i think would fit yours if your interested....
  7. dont think theres many evos with a genuine 900 bhp on 2.0 engines, most will be bored out to 2.2 or 2.4 anyways its not the figures but what the car(and driver) can do - as the fast one in his standard classic ably showed at the weekend keeping up with cars with 100-150 hp more than him
  8. hmm, some mind reading going on here i think....
  9. hi mate,Dales not far wrong- ive an 05 sti that ive had since new and have only just got happy with the handling mine has h brace-connects the bottom of the struts to chasis top strut brace front anti lift kit- increases castor to keep more of the tyre on the ground more of the time bc sports coilover suspension adjustable ride height and damping for me the coilovers and proper setup were the best improvement ive made to the car and i love them, closely followed by the h brace, aurprised by the difference for a cheap 20 minute fit part! if you want a run sometime to see the effect give us a shout cheers Dave
  10. thanks everyone,it wouldnt have been the success it was without all of you, your group spirit and general standard of driving/behaviour. knowing everyone seems happy with the 2 day format gives me lots of scope... of course if anyone else has routes or wants to have a go il be happy to help! at the moment im tempted to suggest another this year if people are up for it and a return to skye next year-chinese anyone? Dale,if we have another disaster like that il happily impale myself on a golden poppadom sliver while riding a donkey
  11. if you can go for an 05 sti, wider track, dccd and variable valve timing on uk cars feel quite different to 04 sti's
  12. hi all, while the skye weekend is still fresh in our minds i thought id ask for any comments in regard to doing it again next year and /or doing another weekend run as ive a few other routes i wouldnt mind trying... any positives, negatives or suggestions welcome on here or by goat- especially whether two days is too long, too short or just right cheers Dave

  17. monkey boy in the back was filming all through that stretch so i have full footage of the guy ploughing past me as i took to the ditch, complete with name and phone number-probably his ugly mug too! jongleurs has the tape and im sure will be more than happy to forward a copy and details hoss
  18. few more the happy couple nice a*** homeward at last!
  19. totally agree Imy,the real highlight for me was how well everyone interacted, not just sticking to people they knew but getting to know new people. there was a really nice spirit about it-and not just the talisker (note to Grant,it DOESNT taste like sheep piss!! donkey, possibly) its a nice feeling when you can call someone by their real name! didnt get round everyone quite as well as i hoped but can associate everyone with a face now,was great to meet a newbie in DJ,who was kind enough to give john a ride after only 5 minutes of meeting -cant wait to see the wagon fully mapped itl be a monster! nice to have a local scoob or 2 popping in to say hi in Broadford (the old dear in her white 08 pulling in,revvin like hell then saying stick with the old ones and clearing off!) and having Wayne lay he founds for the scottish scoobies whisky appreciation society-next rounds on me mate
