  1. had a great day out,met plenty of old and new faces all friendly as ever- came away with even more wallet wilting ideas though lol well done Bobby for an excellent and well organised meet, both your motors looked awesome, though car and driver of the day was definitely Lisa with her 22b Grant,as ever it was emotional- but we managed a whole day without mentioning donkey porn... 1. 2. wow! thats immense Peter, you must be dying to get it up and running. apart from the engine spec also loving the recaros, and the brakes -o dear i feel my wallet starting to hurt
  3. very nice touch-does it double as a launch button for flat bed lorry seeking missiles??
  4. sorry what was that Bobby '2 scoobs' C ????
  5. boxy!!! i think purposeful is the word your after!!! Rich, for once and for all i do not have a big fat car!!! think youl find the extra weight in newages is the added reliability
  6. lovely lovely car mate, some really nice white type r's on here just now youl be starting your own club soon lol!!
  7. ignorant wee oik!! that was a class response though Hoss, bet he's sleeping with clingfilm on his doorstep now
  8. il be going for the ksport setup at some point soonish for my 05 sti, value for money and a good reputation make it hard to beat i think- and i can keep 330mm discs for 17's at winter
  9. yea, thats quite a long way from standard mate! looks very nice! has it the wrx interior,ie bucket seats? with the work and mods on it makes it much harder to price so 3500 maybe isnt too far away-if your happy with it go for it!
  10. with a new top end fitted by hypertech you shouldnt have any worries with the engine,my concern would be that the gearbox is still ok. i know others will disagree but i reckon 3500 is pretty high for a 96 uk turbo wagon with high miles-id be thinking 2200,but thats without seeing the spec condition of the car but you wont regret getting a scoob mate, just make sure its the right one
  11. got my ngk's from pentland performance,think 34 for 4 7b's ? ive a green panel now but think i prefer the k&n's i used to have
  12. maybe a bit bigger tailpipe than your after Col but i love my roger clark motorsport system,4.5" slash cut but looks much smaller than the tsl firestorm i had-though it also sounded immense, very wrc howl ish actually i think tsl do a 3" group n style as well
  13. try pentland performance in edinburgh and say its through the scoobynet group buy, they were the cheapest ngk's i could find
  14. i know what you mean Dale, does look familiar-think it reminds me of rs grants old car?? uk cars can take running on full decat without a remap but it6s obviously benifcial to power and economy to get it ecutekd only thing that strikes me is new engine and gearbox could suggest a hard life? maybe worth asking grant or andy at awd about it
  15. the dampers are different on the sti-tho not really up to scratch! also theyre inverted(which hawkeye wrx's may have) and wider rear track, lighter suspenion arms and even in auto dccd makes a big difference
  16. do it,my only concern would be fuel consumption as my sti(2.0 mind you) is quite thirstier than my classic turbo. when i changed i looked at getting a wrx with prodrive suspension and brakes, spoiler etc and realised i wasnt far off the price of an sti and still didnt have the dccd,6 speed box, better diffs, heavier driveshafts, wider track , better suspension etc etc never regretted getting the sti,i know itl be all the car il ever need, all the important bits are there for heavy modding
  17. lovely choice of car mate, nice to see you back again. hye Rich looks like youve competition-type r face offf time lol
  18. im a fan of toyos and goodyear f1's- never tried michelin ps's but theyre supposed to be pretty good too kumho ecstas are good for the price, worst tyres ive had were falkens tho others like them wagons going to look great with them on
  19. ask Andy but for my 05 sti he didnt reckon the headers would make much difference on the standard turbo. he recomends uprated sparkplugs tho,pfr7b's a colder plug. otherwise i just changed to silicon boost hoses all round for piece of mind
  20. hiya mate,it was Leitholm i was marshalling at on saturday so if you saw a blue blob sti behind the tapes that was me! couldve done with your midge cream on sat Cathy!!!
  21. thats us just back and what a great weekend! friday night was a great turnout and a great position for the club stand-well done John for organising it. seeing the cars through the town and hearing them howl through between houses was awesome, then the drive to the campsite with Grant in pursuit and the borders finest trying to encourage me was entertaining!!! didnt get to see the mcrae vision stand on saturday sadly as me lorna and monkey boy ended up marshalling out and about til late. then today watching the reivers rally doing its best to complete a stage in the scorching heat and a toddle home with sunburn for the 2nd weekend in a row-roll on next year! top marks for blagging to Kaylz-take it you got into your b&b, delight to meet G Mac and many thanks for the fetching and carrying on friday night took 700 pics so il stick up any decent ones when i sort through them
  22. well done Bobby-you on buying arrest for the rest of the year now? its a cracker right enough, look forward to seeing it again-you going to have both at the wheel??
  23. yea i was eyeing up the AE 86's too-saw 3 there all in white. 16v twin cam rwd fun,yet another car i wish dad hadnt sold before i had a licence! nice to know that you were struggling with the drift cars too colin, took over 300 pics and got about 4 decent ones
  24. so thats where he ran off to! i thought he'd forgotten his favourite dressing own... had a great day meeting old and new and seeing some awesome cars particularly nice to be grabbed from behind by a lovely lady,Rosie 2 bad points, getting back to the car and realising that its just not modded enough and then wiping off the dust on my face and realising it wasnt dust....the fabled knockhill windburn strikes again! roll on the jim clark ps. anyone else have a scottishscoobies.net business card under their wiper? must be tough, was still there after a warp factor drive home through Glen devon
  25. here you go mate, not the cheapest but just awesome spec!!! http://redirectingat.com/?id=42X123&ur...ales/825201.htm
