  1. awesome, cant wiat to see it!!! though i thought the banana made 20,000 on its own??
  2. ive seen waaaay too many drilled discs split through the holes on cars - doesnt seem to happen so much on bikes but they have better cooling i guess
  3. any excuse lol and the downside to the wheels in 114 is the price!!! though i came across a great deal for buddyclub p1 wheels with prada tyres on ebay last night-£780 delivered!!!!
  4. thats the wonder of scooby tuning, theres an option for everyone il stick with my 6 speed til i break it,then..... lol
  5. that was lucky with the colour match Cathy, you got your wind deflectors and new wheels yet? itl be like a new wagon!! time to move onto the performance mods then btw can you drop me the recipe for your anti midge cream,Lorna was asking for it to protect her ponies you tinting the windows to protect your eyes from my shirts Del?
  6. standard box will take that and with a good remap youl need a lot less shifting anywya, in standard ppp form i was always hunting through the gears on fun runs but after a full decat and remap it was like having an extra half gear right through the box. theres a guy on snet with a big build 500hp wrx who went for ppg and wishes hed gone for 6 speed instead down to the noise.
  7. newage sti should have a 6 speed box capable of handling pretty serious power mate, should take 450-500 ok
  8. not sure on offset but im running 8.5 by 18" whels with 225 tyres on an 05 sti with coilovers and they didnt catch until i fitted the anti lift kit and then only on full lock so 8" with 215s would be fine
  9. thats crap mate, thieving barstewards !!! what type of tyre was on it,might make it easier to spot
  10. Hi mate, depends how far your planning ahead-the brembos will take quite a bit more power so id go with braided hoses and maybe some higher grade fluid. pads wise id stick with either mintex 1144 or ferodo ds2500,ive the mintex with goodridge hoses and miller brake fluid from awd and they give good bite right from cold. once your discs are nearing the end of their life then id look at performance friction discs or a full on 8 piston setup like ksport
  11. the futures bright ,the futures orange
  12. how tough are carbon s[litters? having demolished one frp and one flexy plastic im wondering if a cf one would fare better? and ive tried running without one,car just looks naked!
  13. i think weve all been where you are now John, especially those who mod their motors! i long ago looked at wjether to carry on modding and even placed an ad,got some trade in prices etc and soon came to the conclusion that i was going to lose a fortune on selling it and the running costs of anything else id enjoy werent much different,so this one is here to stay-when ive paid off the finance next year il go and get a nice everyday car but the scoob will always be here-ive had them off the road for a few weeks and i miss driving it or opening the garage and seeing it there soooo badly. if you really cant live with it,try getting something else and an old one for track use but i think youd regret selling the beast youve got such history with.
  14. great effort guys, looks like it was an awesome day!!! glad to see the stand looking so good- good job us new ages could fit it in eh Rich great news on the moray banners, possible Bitz tie up and air field/track use - fantastic effort and all credit to Al for making a lot of headway in a short spell as RO
