About AlanD

  1. Just had a look at some old photos and there's one of the plate with the number on it. It's actually 228! Wasn't far away. Lol Anybody? Think it may be in the Aberdeen area now. Looked roughly like this when I sold it
  2. Cheeers Neil. It's definitely not 282 then, as I'm sure I saw that car on a forum back when I had mine. Will need to get on to my old computer tonight and see if I can find any photos showing the number.
  3. Hi all, just thought I'd post up a message to see if I could track down the Terzo I used to own. I think (although I'm not totally sure) it was number 282. I sold it to a guy from Alexandria (Dunbartonshire), or there abouts, and then he sold it on to someone from Aberdeen if I remember correctly. The reg is R*** JPG. When I sold it at the start of 09 it had a P1 front splitter and P1 wheels on it. Would just like to know if it's still going and what it's like now. Cheers Alan
  4. Sorry all...no clues. Lol I can't even remember how it goes now, all I remember is that it's a TUNE and a half. Looks like I'll need to wait till it comes on the radio again! It was either on Real, Forth 1, or galaxy, when I was driving from Aberdeen back to South Lanarkshire last night/this morning at about 2 o'clock. Needed the radio blasting just to stay awake! Real radio has a search thing on their website for songs that they've played in the last two days, but it's showing nothing around 2am. iphone applications are something else eh? Still need to wait on it being played again though.
  5. I heard a song on the radio last night that I keep meaning to get the name of and download! I'm sure it's by a Scottish band from the 90's. It's played on real radio quite a lot as it's a bit of a classic...kind of like Big Country. Does anyone have any suggestions? Lol It might not even be a Scottish band for all I know, but I've just always thought of it as a bit of a Scottish anthem. All suggestions welcome! It's not a Susan Boyle number before you say! Haha. It isn't anything by the proclaimers either. Cheers Alan
  6. Oh right. Yeah it was a great car! Still miss it. Last summer when I got it exactly the way I wanted it(new ECU mapped, bumpers tidied up etc) has to be one of the best I've ever had. Was great going for a blast into Glasgow on a Friday night after work when the weather was hot! Think I'm probs looking back with the rose tinted specs on though, lol I did spend a fortune on it! I'm actually looking for another late UK classic(99/00) now - going to buy a totally standard, low mileage one, and just spend some money on it to get it the way I want it. Maybe have this one just over 300bhp. Was looking at 03/04 ish UK Stis, but think I'd have much more fun modding a car again, and getting it exactly how I wanted it. Could have a mint 300bhp UK Turbo and still have a few thousand to spare off the price of a good blob Sti. Want the trailer license for work, and towing a track car up to Khill in the future.
  7. Cheers for the info. You've sold the Terzo I see?
  8. Thanks for the help. I've just sent him an email since it's Sunday, don't want to bother the guy by phoning!
  9. I phoned BSM direct and they said they didn't do it anymore. I've seen the guy doing it in Newmains though, so I'll give him a phone. Cheers!
  10. I'm from Biggar too! If this idea had come along anytime in the last year and a half I would have been up for it. Just sold it though.
  11. Didn't expect so many replies this morning! Should have said - I'm near Lanark. Yeah, I'm aware of the 750kg and under law, but that really doesn't allow for much. I want to be able to have a car on the trailer, and when I'm using it for work I'll have steel etc in it. As above, if you've passed your driving test before 1997 you are allowed to tow anything. Bit of a daft law to be honest since someone who can barely drive a car, but passed their test before 1997 can tow whatever they want, but someone younger with more common sense wouldn't be allowed to. Doesn't exactly make the roads safer but there you go... To be honest I'd probably travel as far as Kincardine for a good instructor, because as I've said already, the only other one I could find seemed more interested in making money than anything else. Anybody else?
  12. Hi all, Can anybody point me in the direction of a driving school that can put me through a few lessons, and then the test for towing a trailer? Would be much appreciated as the only one I've been able to find so far was insisting on giving me 15 lessons, despite not even having seen me drive! I've reversed trailers on private property before, so I'm thinking I'll only need a few hours worth of lessons to get me into it and then I'll be able to sit the test.
