328mm i think. Performance Friction all the way for me, the disc pad combo is amazing with no fade. Not the cheapest option by far but you pays your money ... Got mine from Zen Performance , great service on price & delivery.

A friend of mine got offered the same price for his 03 wrx for trade in he wasn't happy at all. I was shocked by the value of it i mean come on there are standard classics going for more than that!

A friend of mine has started using the Dodo range & hasn't stopped raving about how good it is, the finish does look pretty stunning on his car & his wifes fiesta. Tempted to give them a go myself once i use up the stuff i have at the mo.

Just about to change discs & pads all round & gonna go for the performance friction disc & pad combo after reading so many good things about them. Will be adding braided hoses with them. Got oe discs + Feroddo pads just now & they do go well together just mine are very tired now & need to be changed & fancied something different.

Think the colours go really well together bud, nice to see someone making a break from the normal colour schemes.

Leaking or perished hose if the bov is not going of or the MAF.

Things a Wr1 has over a STI are: Lovely Ice blue paint Only 500 made 320hp 310 torque 1st UK model to have DCCD Prodrive springs Prodrive bump stop mod 18" PFF7's in exclusive Pewter colour (not 17" crome Welsho ) Charcoal colour interior, dash, seats, carpets (like Jap spec c) not all blue with silver dash in sti's. Mesh front grills (which you all fit to sti's) PIAA driving lights Special signed plaque, tax disc holder & keyring (keyring alone sells for over £100 ) Not just another blue & gold sti Worth every penny Negative comments like its just a over priced sti from none owners All in all a fantastic car in standard spec without needing to throw a load of cash at it to make it so

This is one of those topics that'll just go on & on & on................ At the end of the day they are all scoobs & thats what really matters! But i'll stick in my tuppence while i'm here anyway lol. For me the best looking scoobs are classics & Blobeyes, it was the classic that i fell in love with & got me into scoobs in the 1st place, but i've never owned one but i've driven a few (wrx's & Type R) The Bug & hawkeye front ends don't look as nice as a classic or blob ( i did owned a bug myself) & the new hatch just isn't a scoob imho. IMO the best looking scoobs are the 22b, Type R's & Wr1's (ok thats 2 - 1 to the classics there lol) We are lucky enough to have a Clasic Type R & a Wr1 in our garage so we have the best of both worlds really. Classics maybe lighter but are more flimsy - FACT Newages are heavier but are stiffer & more solid - FACT Both the classic & blobeyes won WRC championships _ FACT I can't be bothered listing any more as most have already been brought up in this thread already - FACT (lol) Someone metioned about newages being full of electronics thats more the '05 cars onwards, i have an auto mode on my dccd where there is a ecu doing the thinking but i ALWAYS switch to manual as i hate the car deciding what it wants to do i preffer to do the driving, if i wanted a car full of driving aids i'd have bought a Sh*tsibushi lol. What i do know is that a standard Wr1 can kick any standard classics ass. But i can appreciate all scoobs whatever the shape / model which we all should do as it's the common ground that brought us all together!

Looks like the same heater controls as a blobeye, know 05 sti's had different controls but in the pic looks just like mine. Was it bought from the official subaru options list?

Bit late for you now but not been on all week, Shell station in Inverness is called Kingswells service station & its on Old Perth Road just beside the hospital. As for eats i can't recommend Cafe 1 enough, lovely food with a nice relaxed atmosphere, prob need to book in advance especially at weekends but well worth it, always get a big warm welcome from Norman the owner, 2 thumbs up! Worth a try if your up again.

Liking the carbon dash, is that the subaru dash panel kit or from a 3rd party supplier? where did you get it? I'm a bit of a carbon junkie lol & would love something like that for the 1.

I'd say Dicksons Inverness, always used them & never had anything but top service from them. I know it's Kia now but it's the same staff & boys in the workshop, one of them being a ex Prodrive mechanic.

My laptops gone belly up at the mo so using the PS3 browser for internet access, PS3 browser won't play that vid Aswell as getting the new Mcrae ledgend dvd for xmas i also got a dvd of Colin & Nicky in car from the Donegal 2006 rally driving his 6R4. What i've watched so far is fantastic(its 1h20 long) Great pics from the cams on the car, theres 1 placed just betwwen Colin & Nickys heads, couple looking back at them in their seats, pedal cam & bumper cam as well as some roadside footage. If you are a fan of Colin its amazing to watch, if you like 6R4s it's fantastic to watch & if like me your a huge fan of the late Mr McRae & the 6R4 is prob my fav rally car it's pure heaven to watch

Pav the paint code you want for the WR1 coloured pff's is PPG 226.662 this is supposed to have come from Speedline themselves via another wr1 owner. I've kept this code stored as i'm gonna get mine refurbed after winter. Another owner got his done before we got hold of the paint code & said Pewter in the subaru range is pretty similar.

Yep know this car, belongs to a boy from Inverness who's had it for around a year & half. Goes well & is rather rapid. Had a play with it before & it'll leave me in a straight line but i left it sitting on twisty B roads. Got all the right bits on it, most of the performance mods were done before he got it, he's just added things like the ver 6 spoiler & twin headlights. Very nice car.
