I would want to know how the hell can they think of doing you for the above, the cars exhaust is a consumable item on a car. It will require changing, after that point its not an original manufactured exhaust, also the likes of Subaru contract out parts to other companies to make money from design/patents rather than on the items production. So that means that any exhaust other than the one provided by Subaru garage is illegal, so that means all the motor garages including the big chains are selling illegal exhausts. So when are the police going to shut down these suppliers of illegal goods? dont they do this to conterfit stalls in markets and to drug dealers? Also if the exhaust meets noise level requirements its within the law in that respect. Sometime the police are so jumped up >> Miss Scooby did & she won the case Thats why she said "Don't get me started" lot of time & bother!

This is up here in Inverness. The Police have been booking people over having"Illegal" exhausts for over a year now but they pulled & booked a PPP WRX (02 ithink) seems the guy booked is good friends with a few bods at Prodrive & asks them why his PPP exhaust is "Illegal" ??? Subaru took up the case. Have not heard any more on it though.

Cool vid Yep wish Group B was still around to. What i would do for a 6R4 or even just a ride in one! The 6R4 & the short wheelbase Quattro were my 1st dream cars, never been into supercars always loved rally cars If you liked the vid you should try & get a copy of the "Too fast to race" dvd from Duke it's the Group B story with a bit on each car & some great footage. As Dougster said about the safety it's MAD when you see how close the cars were to the spectators! & the incar from the final Evolution of the Quattro is just crazy!!! The Wr1 makes fluttering noise at around same RPM seems it's just turbo spooling. Less so now since the turbo hoses were changed under a recall but it's still there, seems after discusion all the WR1's do it though. Sounds like boosts spiking due to new unrestricted exhaust system, but 1.8 bar When you get the GEMS fitted it does away with the MAF sensor & uses MAP sensor instead so the induction kit will be fine. Should all be sorted when the GEMS is fitted & mapped. Gee

If you are booked up for any track days take note. Attended the Ladies night on Tues with Miss Scooby & a couple of new rules for this year in the drivers brief: 1. Long sleeves must be worn on track. 2. No cameras/ video cameras allowed in car unless they are mounted on a proper camera mount. Lucky we both had a fleece in the car with us but were unable to use vid camera. Cal i noticed you had a pretty good looking mount in your car at last SIDC day, where about did you get it from & what sort of price??? Gee

Good on ya Nice Type R It was a good night with quality track time & good weather. Fun seeing the Porche trying to keep up on the straights EVEN with us suffering really bad with fuel cut out of hairpin & coming over top of Clarks!!!!
